Salvatore's Garden Place Hotel

I wanted to update my review from my earlier one after my first stay. Actually I outright deleted it. It was kind of jokey and mean.

To be honest, since the first review I can’t tell you how many times I’ve stayed here in recent months. Just a night to get away- managing retail during the holidays- and now doing a mini “staycation” I just added an extra night.

The staff is amazing. Especially housekeeping. I let them know I just added a night- promising I wasn’t being a jerk and holing up past checkout- immediately I’m offered turnover service. The gentleman stopped what he was doing to see what he could do for me- I just wanted to try and be somewhat courteous. Front desk is equally great.

The rooms are nice. Some seem to be recently remodeled but since I just want a big bed and a big tub I’m not fussy.

I’ve recommended this spot to my staff and customers as a great spot to get away for a few nights and recharge. Thank you again.

This was a hidden gem of a hotel, super chic and lovely. Check-in was smooth and effortless after travelling the whole day.
Our receptionist Britney was exceptional. She deserves her own star for her attention to detail, and that set the scene.
Our first room was lovely until the shower had a mind of its own, and after repeated efforts to make the shower head stop dripping.
So I phoned reception and told her of our problem and to 10-15 minutes later she duly arrived, and she took care of our problem effortlessly by upgrading us to a better room.
Super comfortable beds, and all the amenities you need. I didn't get to check out more of this hotel, but rest assured that next time I am in western New York state and at this establishment, I will explore more.

I recently stayed at The garden place renovation and was blown away by the improvements. The renovations have not only revitalized the hotel but also fixed any previous issues brilliantly.

The lobby exuded a fresh, inviting vibe, setting the tone for a fantastic stay. My room was a haven of comfort with a cozy bed, efficient air conditioning, and flawless plumbing - a far cry from past problems. Dining was a treat, with a revamped menu and attentive staff.

What stood out was the stellar service. The staff's genuine warmth and proactive assistance truly elevated my experience. The upgraded facilities, including the gym and spa, were meticulously maintained.

In essence, the garden place has aced its renovations, erasing past concerns and providing an exceptional stay. I highly recommend it and eagerly anticipate my next visit.

Not sure why, but my room at this hotel didn't have a tray or shelf in the shower? Might seem trivial but having to bend over to pick up the soap and shampoo should never happen in a hotel such as this?

They used large screws to mount the mirror and then calked around it?

These are things you'd expect in a low budget motel. Granted this was by far the least expensive room I've ever purchased at this particular hotel but I would strongly recommend going to the Delevan just down the street (I think same owner) that place is newer, much more updated and attached to Salvatore's restaurant which is where we dinned and the dinner and service over there was exceptional. Too bad I can't say the same about this room.

Beautiful rooms and amazing service from Brittany and Nick. Me and my honey stayed past our check out and they were so nice and understanding. Gave us our deposit back with no problems. Definitely coming back again. Amazing area.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and I was genuinely impressed by the cleanliness and modern updates of the rooms. The new flooring and paint gave the space a fresh and inviting feel, making my stay all the more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

We arrived from Las Vegas for my husband's birthday. This hote isl close to the airport, grocery store, interstate, and restaurants. The lobby was decorated for the fall/harvest when we arrived and was beautiful. Unfortunately, the first room we were given had a leak in the bathroom and we had to be moved. Luckily, they upgraded our room to a suite on the same floor that was much larger. Ms. Brittany (I hope I got her name right) was amazing. She went downstairs and got new keys while we packed, came back, escorted us to our new room and ensured it was satisfactory. We were very grateful and impressed with the excellent customer service despite the inconvenience. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

Salvatore's Garden Place Hotel is one of three properties own and operated by Russell Salvatore, an iconic restauranteur in Buffalo.

If you are looking for an experience outside the usual hotel chains and the best value, this the place. It's a little dated, a little kitschy and a little quirky, but it offers super spacious rooms, clean, comfortable beds and luxury showers and sinks. Some rooms have Jacuzzi tubs. Lotsa mirrors, including infinity mirrors! Fortunately, no smoke! Haha! My King size bed was decent, and the TV worked fine and had all the usual cable channels. The room also had a mini fridge. Did I mention this place has lotsa mirrors?

A minimal breakfast is included (regular and decaf coffee and fruit flavored yogurt). However, they have a walk up window in the breakfast area, where you can order espresso-type coffees, pasties, bagels, waffles, etc. My egg and cheese bagel was excellent.

The hotel is a real family hotel, frequented by tourists and young honeymooners on their way to see Niagara Falls, only a half hour drive away. It has easy access in and out, and is directly across the street from the entrance to the New York State Thruway.

I will definitely stay again for the convenience and value this place offers.

The rooms/decor is outdated in many ways, but I think it's part of the charm they're going for.

Overall, our stay at this hotel was a great experience. Check in was quite quick and the young lady checking us in was very friendly, polite and professional. She answered all our questions and was happy to help.
The location of the hotel was great as we wanted something near shopping, and there's plenty of major stores all within a 10 minute drive. You're also not too far out from Buffalo.
One of the most important things of a hotel room is the mattress, which can be a big hit or miss, and I was pleasantly surprised with the comfort of their mattress and slept very well. The room was a nice size, not small, and even though there were some stains and marks here and there on the walls and furniture, that's obviously expected for a hotel and not a big deal at all.
The only minor complaints/suggestion we would have is that, 1. The room does not come with a microwave, which most do these days (there was a mini fridge though), and 2. There was no shelf in the shower, which was annoying as you have to place your soap/shampoo, etc on the floor and keep picking it up.
Overall, I would definitely stay at this hotel and I do recommend it, if you can get it for a good price, around $100 max per night.

This is a random and slightly weird place. I loved it after getting used to it. There is this very interesting giant courtyard in the middle of the hotel where there are tons of tables where you can eat your breakfast and enjoy the re-creation of Italy. The owner recreated somewhere in Italy that he loved they are in the middle of the hotel. It's weird and it does take dogs which is nice and we were able to really get what we needed there.

Very beautiful hotel. Shuttle service is a great perk.
Breakfast is very good too. Friendly workers. Room is very clean.
A couple things though, the bar/lounge isn't always open when the website says it is and the bathroom sink drains exceedingly slow, air conditioning is a little loud. But, All in all absolutely love it!!

Our stay was OUTSTANDING!! The service was amazing, the room was clean and the beds are VERY comfortable. Very elegant decor!! Conveniently near the Buffalo Niagara Airport as well as food and shops. Would absolutely stay here again!!

Staff is efficient and helpful. They gave us great service. LOVE the ambiance of this hotel. Warm and cozy. If you want a charming hotel and not a cookie cutter one, this is the place. Jacuzzi suite is amazing. Nice breakfast. Very fair priced. Check out the breakfast area, it's old world design is cool.The salt water fish tank . Exercise area is well maintained

I stay at a lot of hotels for work, 4 and 5 star hotels, this was for personal use so I wanted less expensive.....but I was pleasantly surprised! In many ways it was better than the expensive hotels.
Most notable (and important) was that it is one of the cleanest. Decor is a bit over the top but was fun For me and my son. Don't let the lower prices scare you away this is worth more. Hope to stay again staff does a great job.

This place is awesome!! I've booked a room here 4 times in the last year and I am never disappointed! The rooms are kept exceptionally clean and the staff is always friendly. I'm from Buffalo and I come back often to visit family, this is the only place I'll stay. The location is super convenient to I90 and many other places are within 10-20 minutes away. Their breakfast is great quality. One of the best things is there's an Anchor Bar right next to the hotel!!🦬🍗😊 And you can walk there if you wanted to!

This hotel is the most Beautiful hotel I've ever seen and stayed @. And I've traveled to 28 states for work and been to over 30 hotels,this Garden Place Hotel is number one! Everything about the place was phenomenal! Stayed there with my amazing fiance Barbara Schuller, Kelly Carpenter Hajdasz, her husband Scott Hajdasz and our friend Marie.

Easy to get in and out of. The rooms are a bit dated but it's a nice niche hotel. The staff was wonderful!!!

A really nice place thats close to the airport. For the price im amazed! You get quality service for a low cost and the decor is just beautiful. Just be sure to ask front desk about the rooms if you dont want one facing the lobby.
