The Tasty

We cannot say enough amazing things about The Tasty, by far our favorite restaurant on the South Shore. We come together on our own or with others who have never been to show them what they’ve been missing out on.

We’ve never had a bad meal, never a bad cocktail and most certainly never a bad slice of carrot cake!

The service is always amazing and we absolutely LOVE Maria. She’s the sweetest every time.

I would love to see more social media posts of the food or behind the scenes when sourcing the food for the menu. We learned last night how so much of the food is locally sourced and that is such a huge importance for many of us. I was telling my boss about the Tasty today and mentioned how many of the items are locally sourced “oh wow, I wish I knew that and saw more from their Instagram account! I never think to go, but if I saw more I know I’d get there.”

The power of social media can be very helpful to introduce so many more to the awesomeness of The Tasty.

We’ll be back very soon for our friend’s bday dinner as she’s never been and has requested to go after hearing about it.

We had dinner for the first time at the Tasty and were impressed by the quaint setting, relaxing atmosphere, and delicious food. I highly recommend the sweet potatoes tostadas. What made it most special was our server Maria. She was super friendly, attentive and made great recommendations. We will definitely visit again!

Moved its way up the list of my favorite places in Plymouth very quickly! Every experience we have had here has been great, awesome food and friendly staff.
The Nori Fries, chicken wings and duck dumplings are a must. Their noodles were very good and we want to come back on noodle night!
Steak was cooke perfectly and the cream sauce was amazing. The salmon was fresh and full of flavor.

Every single person who we spoke to in this establishment was friendly, happy, professional and fun. The food was PHENOMENAL! I don't drink, but my friend had a drink that she really enjoyed and I thought the presentation was fun and clever. Will absolutely go back!

In town for a wedding and staying at an Airbnb on Chilton. The owners of the Airbnb recommended The Taste so we went to check it out. Phenomenal. The alley seating wasn’t open so we sat out front. The weather was great and so was the atmosphere. To drink I ordered Son of a Peach and my wife ordered You Can Dance. We were both very pleased with our cocktails. To eat we split the duck dumplings — our first time eating duck and they were great. We also ordered a bowl of Nori fries. They were also very good and for ten bucks you get a very generous portion in a very large bowl. They were tasty. Not sure what the few people who’ve left negative reviews were thinking, The Tasty is awesome.

Enjoyed the environment! Busy night on a cold snowy evening. Sat at the window bar enjoying the people passing by. Food and drinks were just right and the service was wonderful! I'd definitely go again.

This place has ruined every other restaurant for us. After one time here, nowhere else measured up. Just go. You won’t be disappointed. We have been coming here for years and never had a bad meal or experience.

Love this place!!! Plenty of culinary creations to satisfy anyone's desire!! If your little loved ones are joining you the Tasty offers grilled cheese, chicken fingers, and low mein noodles with butter! Tantalizing drinks to wet your whistle too!! They are environmentally friendly utilizing sterilized "straw" straws and they recycle. Support your local businesses! A definite must try!!

Incredible meal, dumplings…noodles…salmon?! You can’t go wrong. And don’t get me started on the cheesecake - PERFECTION

Marie is the best waitress! Amazing food and atmosphere. Will be back! Visiting from out of town and it did not disappoint.

Spent a few days in Plymouth and walked into The Tasty for dinner. Focused, perfectly done menu with great cocktails.

Second night, went to a dockside seafood place like good tourists, but couldn't resist the lure of The Tasty's cocktails. Spot-on drink recommendations from the wonderful bartender (and previous night's waitress.)

Plymouth might now be "on the way" to wherever future New England vacations take us.

These guys are a legit farm-to-table restaurant. They buy veggies from my organic vegetable farm (Skinny Dip Farm) every single week of the year. We love the care and creativity they put into making our veggies even more delicious!

The Tasty is our absolute favorite restaurant in the area. From the service of the staff to the quality of the dishes, they are far superior. The vibes in the restaurant make for an excellent dining experience. We have sat at both bar and tables with equally as great of service! Lisa the bartender (who is there most nights we are in) is amazing!!! She gives great recommendations and always has a smile on her face. We will always keep coming back to the Tasty ❤

We were lucky to get in before a show at Memorial. However, we did get seats by the window. The crab dip was great, a friend I was with never had Brussel sprouts and loved these!! OMG the blueberry corn bread was fantastic! Even though they were busy great service!!!!

Popped in for dinner on a recent visit and returned the next evening to celebrate a friends birthday- well worth the wait The atmosphere is upscale small town vibes

No amount of compliments will do this place justice. From thirty minutes after they open, they are packed. The menu is limited and changed periodically. We’ve been many times and tried almost everything they’ve had to offer. Even my least favorite of dishes have left me impressed and oftentimes, bewitched. The chef is a miracle worker, the staff and service are superb, and my husband’s least favorite fish … is his favorite thing to have here. Not an early diner but I’ll beat the door down at open any day of the week for a seat here.

I came here last night with my fiancé and 2 friends and we had the best experience ever! The vibe is so cute and the staff are the most friendly people you’ll ever encounter. We first met with Nina, she communicated with us regarding our table and even treated us to delicious fries because the table took a little longer than anticipated. Granted it was busy, she still made every effort to ensure we were being taken care of. As soon as we were seated, Marie took our order and she was also amazing! She made sure no empty plates or glasses were left behind and was just overall so friendly. We plan on being regulars here! Give those 2 amazing women raises!!

What a great discovery! - Everything just fit here. Great, creative dishes with European influence, perfect service (thanks Maria), beautiful ambience and an excellent playlist. A real gem in Plymouth.

Enjoyed a very delicious meal tonight. Because I have food allergies to wheat and soy, the chef was very accommodating. He prepared a shrimp noodle and vegetable bowl that was light and very tasty. I definitely plan to return for another great meal.
