Jalens Cafe

I can't praise this place enough. From his freshly made beef empanadas to his steak bomb sandwiches to the specials he has everyday. Half the time when I go in, I just ask him to surprise me, and I am very pleasantly stuffed afterwards. The owner is very friendly. Tip: he named the cafe after his newborn son. For a cafe in a gas station, this place punches a lot above its weight.

The food is great the and the owner is awesome. Best empenadas and beef patties I’ve had since I moved up from Florida. I had the juiciest chicken with Spanish rice today. But the pizza is on another level I’m usually not a crust guy but these I eat the whole slice every time.

This is the type of place you hope to find one day. Everything I tried kept getting better and better. The white pizza is absolutely amazing. By far one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The candied jalapeños are the perfect touch on that pizza.

First time there today. I got the daily special wife got the turkey. Both were perfect. Awesome bread as well. Really great old time sandwich shop. All his Italian stuff looks killer too can’t wait to try that as well. Also I hear the steak tips are unbelievable. Thanks!

As a fellow business owner, this mom and pop restaurant knows good food! The owner and his wife are very down to earth, this will be my new go-to for lunch in middleboro. They are located inside prime station, but their food belongs in a fine restaurant!

Love this place. All homemade food. Everything I had is excellent. For all you women out there sick of cooking, grab some meat and rice add vegetables at home and your done. Meal served!

New Kingston Location was awesome! Great friendly service and delicious food at a good price. Jalens brings more life back into the Kingston Malls Food Court.

I heard about Jalens from a Facebook post. I was heading in that direction today and thought I'd give it a try. I called to ask about today"s special, was told ribs and rice, however, it would be 1 1/2 hours until it was ready. So, I ordered a prosciutto and provolone w lettuce, tomato, and olive oil. It was great! The bread was fresh. The lettuce was crisp and shredded. I love shredded lettuce. Definitely going back soon.

This man can cook! Had the spanish rice special with bbq chicken w/ empanadas and potato salad 10/10 was absolutely bangin'. Went well with a pina colada smoothie made fresh there

The chicken with rice was awesome. The gentleman behind the counter was extremely friendly and helpful when I asked him what he recommended. I'll come back her anytime for lunch.

Stopped in for lunch, place makes a mean Italian grinder. It’s not a gas station sandwich, it’s Happens to be in one. But it’s separate. Highly recommend!!!
