Greenwood Lake Bagels & Bakery

Just visiting for the week, and this place was perfect for a quick bite; we had a bagel breakfast sandwich 4 days in a row! My personal favorite was the French toast bagel, with sausage, egg and cheese, but the egg-poppy bagel featured in the photo was a close second. Love this spot - thank you for taking care of our breakfast needs!

The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The food is always delicious. They have a wonderful baked goods section which typically includes gluten free treats. Greenwood Lake Bagels is very supportive and involved in all the community events and are a true asset to GWL.

I was on the hunt for a special cake for a small gathering just a few days away when a friend tipped me off about GWL Bakery. Heather came through! She is easy to work with, knowledgeable about her options, creative, and committed. The cake came out both beautiful and delicious. It was a big hit and still good in the fridge for the days that followed the event. I would absolutely recommend GWL Bakery and Heather for anything you need. The prices are also reasonable. I come here ALL the time and each time I have a good experience. Their berry cream cheese on a blueberry bagel is usually my go to, and now more recently I found out they have pretzel buns which are to die for. They also have French toast bagels which I love and there has never been a time where they weren't fresh. I wish I wasn't trying to diet because the deserts on display always look phenomenal. The service is always friendly and I am just sooooo happy to live 2 minutes from here :)

If I can give this a higher rating than 5 I would do it!!! We live on Long Island and friends of mine in Monroe suffered an awful tragedy. Due to COVID we could not be there for them but wanted to send a platter of bagels and all the trimmings. We could not find a bagel store that would deliver. After contacting 5 or 6 stores, I called Greenwood Lake Bagels and when I told them the situation, they were very understanding and agreed to deliver food to our friends (even though they don't normally deliver). It's so comforting during these terrible times to find a business who cares!!! They went the extra mile and deserve KUDOS all around. Thank you to Heather (and Matthew) for your kindness.

The people amazing, helpful, and kind! The bagels and breakfast sandwiches are unbelievable and you can taste every different ingredient! So good! This shop is such a nice place to get breakfast and I will be back many many times!

The store has great meats and sandwhiches, as well as the bagels. I had a memorable time drinking the tea!: It was very strong unsweetened tea, but not bitter.

I always order a ham egg and cheese with cream cheese w/ SPK from anywhere and I can’t tell you how many times people have messed the order because it’s not the norm lol. They have never messed up my order and it always taste amazing! I drive the extra distance from Monroe just to get my bagels here and so worth it.

Outstanding breakfast sandwich and the egg poppy bagel was perfect. A great little spot with a great big menu and variety of bagels this is a no brainer. Egg sandwich with meat is a ny standard and this place is nailing it. Hope they are here to last for a long time. Far better then anything you'll get from a franchise, don't fall for the convenience of a drive thru, go on in, meet the owner and for the extra minutes you'll get a superior sandwich on a real bagel from a member of the community! Street parking in front with lots on the side and in the back.

I am so excited to have found a place that carries gluten bagels as I have celiacs disease. The people who run the place are wonderful, welcoming, and very nice, and the gluten free bagel sandwich with lox was an absolute delight. The prices are great as well as the options. I will definitely be frequenting this place while I am in the area.

Very pleasant staff, excellent food. Very open to creating the meal you want and offer a wide variety of options. It's the only place I can bring vegan/dietary restricted friends in town for a meal.

I love this place! Delicious blueberry bagles! Friendly service, and she makes this amazing coffee cake pound cake with Bailey cream cheese icing.. spooo good!
