Fairview Inn

very clean pleasing to the eyes interior and great marine location. went for Sunday lunch and no waiting was promptly seated. Waiter came introduced himself and offered drinks. He came back after about 10 minutes to order. we placed a chicken pasta plate and a fisherman's player. we waited for over 1/2 an hour and he then informed us due to a large group the kitchen is backed up. we eventually got our food which was excellent but he should have told us that there might be a delay because if the large group. The chicken was overcooked and hard. the fish dish was as expected very good. we couldn't finish and asked for Togo containers.

We loved our visit and hope to return one day. The room was clean and cozy. The view was beautiful!

We did take food out and over to a friend's house nearby. Everyone loved their food. The only reason I took one star away from the service is they forgot our chowder. Luckly we weren't too far away and my husband drove back to get it.

Fairview Inn, is in one of the prettiest Oceanside stays I’ve had. The staff is super friendly, the food is great and affordable, walkable to many other restaurant, beaches and night life. Also, you may see some seals being lazy on the rocks at the bottom of the sea wall!

Visited the restaurant the other day with my parents, meeting up with family friends for the first time in a few years. The waitress gave us plenty of time to catch up and chat while at the same time remaining available to us. The food was excellent and we had a great time!

I’ve been in the retail business and all across the country for over 30 years. I don’t care what anybody else has to say, this place was peaceful, quiet, and very resourceful. They helped me carry my bags to the room; It was so unexpected, but I was grateful that I didn’t even know what to say! I loved this place and if you didn’t love it, then you must be from an entirely different planet!

I was there for 1 nite to attend a Celebration of Life of a close family member & I found it very peaceful & serene with the ocean just across the street.I slept very well but I feel they should have had someone in the Inn available 24hrs downstairs & not just available by phone or email!!!!!!! I would like to be able to stay again but the 8nn should have better communication with their guests staying there.

We went in on St. Patty’s day and luckily got a table right away. What an absolutely wonderful meal we had. I chose the filet and he chose the steak tips. Both were amazing. We did start with the ahi tuna appetizer which was also out of this world. We each had a martini which was also perfection.
We usually do lunch there so this dinner was a treat.
If you haven’t been there yet it is a must try. It is also a beautiful restaurant inside as well.

Excellent dinner on the outside deck. Our server was Jack and he was excellent. I had the lamb and she had steak tips; both were excellent!

We are at the restaurant, which was very good. We did not stay at a room in the Inn.

Wow!! Such a great spot just off the main drag.
Went down to meet some family and celebrate our wedding anniversary, started with lunch in the restaurant for 10 people.
Great service, great food, not overpriced and I love the atmosphere and music on the deck! Everyone went home happy and full. (Tons of inside seating also)
My wife and myself rented a room upstairs to stay the night. Clean, roomy, balcony overlooking the water and well equipped with snacks and necessities.
Before going out on for the evening we had a drink and talked with staff at the bar. Such welcoming friendly (not fake) people.
Upon our return at the end of the night, the welcomed us to hang out in the bar and have a night cap while they went through the closing routine.
Can't say enough good when being there for under 24 hours, you are completely blown away by the hospitality. We can't wait to go back

I popped in on a whim at an off time of day. Service was good, considering the very large party they were hosting inside, and the food was very good. It helped that the day was beautiful, so I was able to make use of the deck and just enjoy the sun and the view.

We had dinner there. We loved it.

Love this restaurant overlooking Cape Cod bay! Had the Lobster roll with sweet potato fries and a garden salad. Started with a very tasty mushroom app. Best sandwich and salad I’ve had in a long time and you can’t beat the view and value. Jenna was a great server, very friendly and helpful and made our lunch a real treat. Great drinks and bar too. Can’t wait to return.

Had dinner. It was very good food and service.

We were a group of high school friends getting together for lunch on 6/27/23. Our server Jack was wonderful & let us enjoy a very nice leisurely lunch ! Thanks so much

Had the fillet formagio was very good. The view from the front deck is fantastic. Waitstaff was great, we had Faith, she was excellent. Used to go here years ago before the renovation, will be visiting often. One of my new favorite places.

This is such a wonderful place for a nice meal. We were lucky enough to get a table for Easter, the menu was terrific, we'll go back next time we are in MA

We had a terrific stay at the Fairview Inn. They were very accommodating of our last minute request for 2 rooms on a Sat night, which we really appreciated.

The rooms are very updated/modern & uniquely decorated. The ocean view from our room was wonderful!

Our son recently moved to Marshfield from NJ, so I’m sure we’ll be back for more visits.

Can’t wait to try the restaurant next time. It was very inviting w/ views of the ocean & a very nice atmosphere.

We stayed in the Green Harbor room because we wanted a king bed. It was a spacious and unique (in a good way) room. There were two separate “balconies” and, although they were small, you had a great view of the ocean from either one. We usually stay in chain hotels as we are a little wary of one-off establishments, but Fairview Inn was a welcome change. The bed was comfy, and the room as a whole gave a warm welcoming vibe. My biggest complaint would be that the balconies did not have a comfortable chair to lounge in. To sum up, they were somewhat limited in amenities BUT what they could provide was done so at a high level. We would 100% stay here again without hesitation and would advise anyone staying in the Marshfield area to give Fairview Inn a try.
