Just discovered this place today when my truck mounted pressure washer started acting funny. The usual mechanic who i go to at another shop was busy and turned me on to this place. The guy was super thorough and figured out the problem fairly quickly. We talked about the machine and my experiences with it, and since he had finished so quickly, he offered to fix another problem I'd been having. I can't say the machine's gonna win any beauty contests, but all of a sudden, every issue I've had with this thing is fixed lol so it was a good day after all.

I had my Husqvarna mower serviced ~4 years ago in NC before it went into storage.
When it came out, the mower wouldn’t start. I did all the troubleshooting I could think of before I took it to SD Small Engine.
They took it in, confirmed my suspicions, figured out that the cable was stretched, fixed everything and had the mower back to me in a week. The price was fair for 30 mins of work and a new cable.
Highly recommended! Great, honest, and knowledgeable work!

I've known Brian since he was a teenager. He's a talented, old school motorhead, and as honest as they come. He's helped me with my small engine problems time and time again.

I can't say enough good things about these guys. Polite, helpful, better than anyone else in the area (and we've been to them too). The word is out, so they are busy, but still a quick turnaround.

Had a slight misunderstanding with a new employee that wrote their work tickets, he ended up signing me up for a repair rather than a quote. The work was done fast and the mechanics were very friendly and understanding of the miscommunication and assisted in a discount. I think that was good customer service and im happy to do business with this company.

Brian and his team have saved our butts on several occasions. I highly recommend their service and would encourage anyone to head over there and see for themselves. They are honest, affordable, and quick when you are in need. I appreciate you guys!

Im about a week behind with making my review. This place is great! Bought a pressure washer on offer up and these guys were great on helping me make sure what i got was not junk. They also were extremely helpful and charge a great price to service my machine. These guys will get all my business!!! best shop in town by far!!

They will take anything that fits through the door that you are having problems with and insted of selling you a new one they fix yours . And customer service is so good if you don't get off work until late just let them know and they will wait for you no problem . And if they make a mistake they fix it with no hassle. As a shop owner myself, it's very important for me to be able to trust the other shops I do business with. the guys at San Diego Small Engine have been able to rebuild unusually rare motors for me, with reliability. The communication is great, and they deliver results on time. I recently had a motor at another machine shop and pulled it from there to bring it to San Diego Small Engine, because I know these guys are reliable.

Absolutely the best place to take your generators and small engines to be repaired. The owner Brian is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Brian took the time to explain to me what I needed to know.

My mower had sat for over two years without being run, dropped it off at the shop on El Cajon Blvd on a Friday afternoon, they promised it on Monday, it took a day longer than planned but for under $100 it starts on FIRST PULL every time. Five Star Service, I highly recommend this place for all your small engine repairs.
