Matt did a great job replacing our old James Hardie cement board siding with new premium vinyl siding. This project challenged him, a lot of detail work, and so many big windows to work around! Right from the start, I could tell he was timely, had fair pricing, great communication, very committed / a hard worker, and has a high level of attention to detail. He’s a one man show, but that never concerned me. He’s got the knowledge, skill & resources to do advanced jobs and strives for high quality & customer satisfaction. Overall, we’re very very happy we hired Matt, we will continue to refer him to our family & friends in the future! Thank you again Matt for the attention to detail & quality siding installation! While I was initially concerned that MS R&I is a one-man business, the photos below speak for themselves in terms of the quality of the deck that was built for us. Matt worked long hours on our deck but still had time to answer all of our questions and to walk us through the construction. Matt a 4th generation contractor was very professional and showed pride in his work with exceptional quality and great service. Matt was a pleasure to work with from the time of estimate to job completion. He answered my many questions, and always explained the "why". He really knows his stuff, and I am confident that we received top notch craftsmanship that will last years to come. His work ethic shows through and through, and he managed to finish a little early even after we expanded the scope of the original project by adding new soffit and fascia. (originally was siding, roof and gutters only). We have already gotten so many compliments from neighbors on his work, and would recommend Matt for any project you have.

Matt was awesome to work with. When we first requested a quote, he came out and took pictures of our home, he ran those through this advanced software and the software give us a report of all the dimensions and materials of the house, roofing, siding, windows and everything, it was really cool. He was very prompt to turn everything around and understood what we were looking for. He was very professional and give great advice on our project. When he presented the contract he gave us start date that was 8 weeks out and we were assuming that was a ballpark. He started on the exact day he said he would and finished the job exactly when he said he would even dealing with a few unknown surprises. He always communicated well and responded quickly. The job was done exactly how he said it would be done and for the exact price he said it would cost. We were very impressed and look forward to working with him again. After 2+ years of searching for a contractor willing to help us with our 100 year old home needing a skylight replacement, we met Matt. He is awesome! We had water dripping onto the floor in the kitchen. I called Matt Smith at MS R&I Construction. Matt came over quickly and found that our skylight was leaking. Matt went the extra mile to stop the leaking by shoveling the snow off the roof. Soon we had a new skylight installed, our roof repaired, and the ceiling in the kitchen repaired and painted. Matt was prompt, professional, very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be calling him in the future for any projects we need help with.
