I've dealt with migraines for 15 years, and have been dismissed more times than I can count. When I got a referral to Brown Neurology, I went in with the mindset that my migraines would be written off again. To my surprise, my experience was the exact opposite.

Dr. Chaudhry is compassionate and warm. She listened to my concerns and affirmed that I deserve to not have migraines 20+ days a month. We tried oral preventative medication first; when that didn't work, we moved on to an injection. When that didn't work, she connected me with Dr. Hickey for Botox. All the while, she supported me with an abortive medication and vitamins. She also gave me advice for migraine management -- any doctor that encourages me to drink espresso is a keeper in my book!

Dr. Hickey is also amazing. She's very nice, thorough with her explanations, and realistic with expectations. During my first Botox appointment, she kept me calm by walking me through what she was doing while also making small talk to distract me.

In addition to fine doctors, the support staff is great too. When you call, the response is friendly. Check in and check out is a breeze. Vital signs are pleasant. The office itself is clean, as well as each appointment room.

When I went to my appointment with Dr. Chaudhry last week, she commented that I looked so much happier than I ever had. She was right; my migraines are more under control and I feel like I'm taking my life back.

Thank you to the incredible team at Brown Neurology. It's been an incredible 6 months of treatment.

If you are looking for a thorough neurologist Dr. Donnelly would definitely be your guy! I found him myself via Google because my pcp gave me a referral to a neurologist who was booking way out! I just couldn't wait that long!. I was having muscle spasms & twitches, weakness in my right arm/leg, pins & needle sensations in my arms, legs, hands, and feet etc. he listened to me, took me serious, and instead of making me feel like I was crazy (like other doctors) he ordered a shi* load of test ... finally after a spinal tap I was properly diagnosed with MS. I'm so thankful for him and you will be too! Over all experience was an A+!

Dr. LaBarbera is the first neurologist in over a year who has shown me genuine care & understanding of my situation. The staff is also extremely kind & wonderful. Best experience I've had with a doctor in a very long time.

I'm gonna change my review here. Dr Donnelly has been very straightforward and objective. His decisions are logical unlike other doctors I've met while trying to care for an elder. I had some issues with scheduling and records but overall the front office is nice and mostly helpful. Would like to see better reporting of test results, doctors notes and recommendations.

I have them 3 stars due to their office staff. The doctors have been wonderful. The office staff has no idea what they are doing, along with the billing department. I have had to speak to them multiple times about ins and their lack of putting it in correctly. I was charged an office fee and there should not have been one due to secondary insurance. The billing department was rude when I called to speak to them. If I didn’t have years of experience with health insurance, I would have NEVER received a refund.

Call and call just to get to voice-mail then leave multiple vocie mails to hope someone to call back but nope. Even when you call during there business hours. But hey they are one of they few neurologist that are doing stuff other then just for headaches.

In am a 19 year old girl, with very bad migraines that have caused me to be home bound. He gave me medication a couple times and made me feel like it was my fault when it didn't work. Now he tried putting me on medication that is experimental and $3000 a prescription. My parents, along with my pharmacist were shocked that he would do that to a 19 year old. Then he said that if the experimental pill didn't work, I would just have to live with the headaches. Obviously, I'm looking for a new doctor because the headaches are so bad, I spend most of my time laying down, trying to sleep the day away. Crying and depressed. When he said you'll just have to live with it, I thought it was a death sentence due to my age and not even being able to attend college. I realize that after doing their job for a while, they become immune to a lot of things they see, but to totally lose all compassion is just unbelievable.

I walked out in the middle of the apportionment when the doctor I met (at the Smithfield location, mind you) literally said “why are you even here?” and then proceeded to tell me not to trust my doctors. I went to see you for migraines, not for you to make me even more uncomfortable with doctors and telling me not to trust them. That really helps my “white-coat” syndrome, you absolute jerk. I would never recommend him to anyone - how unprofessional can you be.

The receptionists never seem to know what they’re doing or talking about and Dr.Chaudry is extremely rude, dismissive, and tries to make you believe things were said when they weren’t.
