I drive from Seekonk MA to Scituate lumber because of their stellar service. We've used Scituate Lumber for several projects, the last being a new build (2,000 sq ft house.) There is no comparison between a "big box" store (i.e. home depot/lowes) and Scituate Lumber. Personal service, competitive prices and quality materials make a huge difference. I came in to pay my bill one day and the owner knew my project! That's never happened at a big box store. You can get suggestions for appropriate materials, order anything they don't have in stock and delivery prices are reasonable. The delivery guys actually work at the store, they are not third party contractors. I recommend Scituate lumber highly and without reservation.

Had personal care and expert advice by staff. Had multiple staff stop what they were doing to help us out. Won't get that most of the time at the bigger stores.
