This lodge is an amazing place to stay while fishing the San Juan River. Tim and Andrea have made Las Verandas such a welcoming home for the perfect fishing vacation. Not only is this place impeccably clean, perfectly located, it is fully stocked with everything you need to stay, and also prepare your meals while you’re here. Not to mention, they are such kind and welcoming people. I saw a prior post, because I was wondering why not every review was a five star review, and I understand folks, wanting to bring their pets. I have two Goldens myself that I would love to bring along. But that’s a policy they have, and that’s OK. It’s their place. If I want to bring my dogs, I’ll find another place. That’s no reason for a negative review. That review’s a bunch of garbage. I absolutely could not be happier with my experience here.

We rent the lodge twice a year for a week at a time when we go fishing and have been doing this for several years. Always clean and roomy and Tim and Andrea are the best.

Clean and extremely well stocked home 2 stories and a basement with all the amenities you could ask for. Andrea and Tim are such warm and welcoming people, they are amazing hosts. If you're not staying a Abe's motel then you need to stay here. I certainly will be going back.

This home far exceeded all of our expectations. Everything was in great shape. We had more than enough room for 6 of us on a fishing trip. Truly all the comforts of home. Tim and Andrea were very helpful, friendly, and pleasant to deal with. A great experience.

This home has everything you need to truly make this a "home away from home". The owners have paid attention to the smallest of details to make this stay comfortable and enjoyable. Wheelchair accessibility made this stay enjoyable for my niece who is in a wheelchair. The doors are wide and she had plenty of space to move around. A gas grill is available for outdoor cooking. We made good use of that. The kitchen was fully stocked and had just about everything you could need. There were a total of 7 bedrooms to accommodate a large family or group. On the main floor are the Master suite, 2 baths, kitchen, dining and living area. 4 spacious bedrooms on the second floor with two bathrooms to share, a veranda that wraps around 3 sides with outdoor furniture to relax and enjoy the fresh air and views. Basement area has two bedrooms, its own living/entertainment area. We had plenty of space for the whole family, we could have invited more. Now for the negatives: Price is per person, even small children, so we could not invite as many family members to stay the night as we would have liked. They stayed in RV or camped nearby, but came over to hang out, would have been too expensive to have everyone stay the night. I would rather have paid a nightly rate for the whole house. Need air conditioning in the basement area and its rooms. The guests that stayed there were always hot while the 2nd floor was extremely cold. The cool air did not make its way to the basement and there was not much ventilation. The main floor was pretty warm as well other than the master suite which had air ducts and was freezing when the cooling unit was on. Same for the 2nd floor, each room had air ducts, which froze out the guests trying to cool the rest of the house that had no airflow. Other than that. We had an amazing time. The owners are very friendly and very accommodating, really enjoyed meeting them, great people. Will definitely stay there again.

The lodge was everything Andrea and Tim described and more. All the comforts of home for just a couple of fishing buddies or a small group with room to spare. Exceeded our expectations.

Great spot for a fishing trip on the San Juan River for a group of 5-8 fisherman. The accommodations were fantastic! We plan on coming back!

No pets allowed!?!? They are family members for many and travel companions for so many. You should really take a look at your establishment and see how you can be more inclusive.
