Dropped in for a quick little overnight excursion, turned out we enjoyed it so much we extended our stay and wished we could’ve stayed longer.
This place is nestled away in the trees, quiet and next to a little lake.
The cabin we stayed in was one of the Unitas and it was the perfect size for the three of us. Clean, with very cozy beds and a spacious bathroom as well.
The communication and timely response from management was exceptional. They made us feel like royalty!
We will definitely be staying here again.

My family and I have been coming here annually for over 20 years and in this time we have never been disappointed.
It is located in a remote heavily wooded area and has a private lake that you can fish or play in. The Cabins are cozy and well-kept and the staff does a great job of making sure you are comfortable.
They are also dog-friendly so your K9 companion can join you.
Hope this review helps.

We have been going to the Red Canyon Lodge for 5 or 6 years, once a year for our anniversary. After being married for 32 years we love this new tradition. The cabins are clean, sit on beautiful property and the staff is amazing. Would highly recommend it, with a little hesitation- I don’t want to share this beautiful place 😊
Thank you for another great year.

We rented three of their new cabins this fall and loved it! The kids loved fishing and exploring everyday, their gift shop is darling and everything we ordered in the restaurant was delicious. Flaming gorge is also SO beyond beautiful. Be sure to go to the lookout which is nearby red canyon lodge.

Great little campground cabin! Full kitchen and a little loft along with a private mate bedroom were all nice features you don’t often find in a campground cabin. It is furnished in a log cabin style that was nice and the interior was very clean and comfortable.
We stayed in the winter for ice fishing but will definitely be back to enjoy the Gorge in the spring or summer.

We have stayed in the same area, different place last year and was charged a little more for 2 nights but Red Canyon Lodge had a lot more to offer for less priced. Cozy, quaint, homey atmosphere. It really is your home away from home. Zero complaints. We got a sweetheart package so we even got a extra night. They were also so accommodating. Great stay, rated 10+

My family and I have now stayed in Red Canyon Lodge cabins two years in a row. We love spending time here in the winter so we can enjoy the wood burning stove, snowshoe all around the trails, and make amazing food. We leave the screens behind, play games, talk and enjoy each other. It is a great time to reconnect as a family. The experience is fantastic and would highly recommend.

I wish I could give it a million stars. The woman who helped us was great. I believe she is an owner but I didn’t ask! She let us tour other cabins to see what we wanted to book in the future. She was quick to text back and fun to talk to, also had the CUTEST dogs that hang out with her. I guess that is why the property is so dog friendly!! I absolutely love that about the place. Our cabin was clean, warm, and so relaxing. We booked another weekend next month for their valentine special, I can’t wait to see what she sets up. I’ve also sent my friends and family her way. We sat on the porch and just listened to the coyotes yipping and howling and loved every minute.

My husband and I stayed here overnight just to get away from town (Vernal). We’ve driven past the lodge before and have been wanting to stay. The Alpine cabin was cute and cozy and had everything we needed for the night. We enjoyed the fire pit and appreciated that extra firewood was delivered to us as we were sitting by the fire. Great service! It’s also nice they allow dogs, our German shepherd had a great time playing in the snow. We’d definitely stay again and would love to rent one of the other cabins next time to try them all out. We are hoping to visit again in Spring when the restaurant opens for the season.

The staff was very responsive to all of my questions and needs online and on site. The accommodation were excellent in every way. I vote for a larger coffee pot. That's the only request I'd make.
The grounds are incredible as it's close proximity to the Flaming Gorge is why I came the trails clearly marked. I'll be back someday.

This is the second time my wife and I stayed at the Red Canyon Lodge, both times in October. The first time we stayed in a stand alone cabin, the second time in their Ponderosa cabin, which is more spacious than their stand alone cabins. Both times we stayed there three nights. Both accommodations were in good working order, clean and comfortable. I fly fish but my wife doesn’t. She likes the Red Canyon Lodge because there are hiking trails around the lodge that she uses (with our dog) while I fish. We have been unable to dine at the lodge restaurant yet because it closes for the season in October.

The only negative were the many flies that either awoke from their comatose state once we turned on the heat or entered, somehow, from outside. A fly swatted is provided, and we made good use of it.

We’re planning on staying there again in July when hopefully, a warm cabin won’t attract them inside.

As a side note, we had reservations at the Red Canyon Lodge this July. However, on our drive there, near Manila, I struck a deer that totaled my car. The lodge accepted my situation and did not charge us for the room. They’re nice people.

We had a wonderful time! The views were spectacular!!! We ate at the lodge and our meals were outstanding. The cabins were clean, comfortable, and cozy. The only negative comment is that we couldn't connect to your wifi or get TV but otherwise, it was great. We understand it is currently being worked on. I would highly recommend staying there.

We’ve gone to Red Canyon every year for a family get away during the winter months. Away from the crowds and noise. It’s quiet, peaceful, remote and breathtakingly beautiful. We’ve had a wonderful time-every time. The staff has always been responsive to our needs and requests.

Thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at Red Canyon Lodge. Such a beautiful area and venue! Slight mishap while checking in. However the management were apologetic and were able to work with us and make it right. Greatly appreciate their hard work! Plan on returning next summer!

Quiet, serine, a real get away from it all.
We try and stay at least once a year, down to earth management who know how treat their customers. The cabins are very clean and very comfortable. They dont pack you close together and charge you unbelievably high prices with a list of does and donts like some of the neighboring establishments to east and to the west. We simply love this place.

We stayed at Red Canyon Lodge for the first time one year ago and have been back several times, including fall break, October 2023. It is always delightful and beautiful. This past weekend, we met one family who has been coming to Red Canyon Lodge for 23 years and another for 15 years. That speaks volumes to me. Daisy and Linda were delightful and helpful.

Easy booking, very accommodating and such a cute place to stay, we had an issue with our shower in our original cabin and the maintenance guy was very quick to come check it out and they even upgraded us to a different cabin so they could work on it. Definitely hope to stay again
