Dan McCrudden was our guide for the day. I and a friend float and fish the green river several times a year. We wanted to learn how to have more consistent success so we hired Dan. Dan was extremely knowledgeable and willing to share his tips and secrets with us. We caught plenty of fish and learned a ton of information that we are excited to apply. Old Moe’s came through for us in a major way! My buddy and I did a full day float trip and it was, without a doubt, one of the best experiences of my life. The green river is in a class all its own. We caught so many rainbow trout that we lost count, and our guide, Noah, helped me land my first ever fish on a dry fly—which happened to be an 18-inch brown trout (in the photo). Noah is an incredible guide, and anyone who fishes with him is in for a treat. He’s an amazing guide, and an even better human being. I cannot recommend Old Moe Guide Service any higher!

DOUG ROBERTS is the owner operator of Old Moe. He is an exceptional guide , one you don’t experience more than once or twice in your fishing lifetime
He is hard working—he is constantly changing flies, leaders, and styles of fishing to maximize catching. This is a lot of effort. Also on a productive run, he will back row up-stream so the angler can re-fish it many times.
He is also extremely knowledgeable of the Green River and it’s 3 sections, as he fishes every day. He is smart, adaptable, and very funny. FABULOUS!

My wife and I had a great time this past weekend on the Green River. Used Old Moe's guide service so I could fly fish and she could just float the river with us and relax. Had a fantastic time and caught some great Browns. Our guide Cody was very accommodating and had a great knowledge of the river. He knew every spot to hit. When other boats were not catching fish he could use the right fly and show me right where to cast and get the fish. What a fun day we had. Cody was never worried about paddling back up stream to retry a spot when I missed the cast. Always interested in making sure we were happy and having a good time. Even set up a nice lunch spot for us on the bank in the shade with some amazing sandwiches and cookies to keep the energy up. Will be back again.

Just finished 2 days of excellent fly fishing on the Green River with Old Moe (sections A and B).. The guide, Spencer Black, is outstanding and worked hard to insure I caught lots of trout. He is also a great guy and fun to be with. My wife doesn't fish but thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful scenery and trip on the river, as did I. Shelly was great to work with and their house in Dutch John is an excellent place to stay. I highly recommend Old Moe for an outstanding fishing/river trip experience.

I have now fished with Doug and his guides 3 times. It seems to get better each time I go and I really wouldn't consider going with anyone else. First, the expertise in fish location, technique and knowledge are outstanding. It seems I come away learning several new things every time I fish with them. They really know the river and I never waste time working unproductive waters. Finally, we really do have a lot of fun! I recommend Doug and his guides to anyone who wants a premier experience in a beautiful environment. You get expertise, knowledge, incredible scenery and superb fishing with Old Moe's.

I have fished the Green River many times over the years, but I've never had fishing like I had with Old Moe guide Doug Roberts. He set me up with a nymph rig that brought me consistently large, strong, and hard fighting fish all day long. I had a great time, and learned a number of productive techniques under Doug's tutelage.

We caught the hell out of fish and our guide, Paul, worked his tail off. I’ve been to the beautiful Green River 5 times and have just bank fished and no fish, that’s just how the Green is sometimes. But Paul educated and put us on so many fish that we lost count. Our wives rented a canoe and floated down the river with us and had a great time, too. Can’t wait to return.

Fished the Green River yesterday with guide Spencer Black! Out of all the guides I’ve fished with he is one of the best! Awesome guy with great knowledge of the river! Definitely would recommend Spencer if you are looking for a great time and lots of fish!

My husband and I had Rodney as a full day guide a couple of weeks ago and were impressed by his ability to maneuver us on the river and help us find some beautiful trout. We tried to go down the next day on our own and gained a greater respect for an experienced guide, like Rodney.

Best two trips ever. My son and I had so much fun caught some amazing fish.

Spencer Black is one of those people you will never forget. The experience and passion he shared with us is hands down the best I have ever received. He not only made it so much fun, but he was very knowledgeable and understanding. He is the only guide I would ever use in again and would recommend him to anyone. Great fishing! Cody (our guide) was very knowledgeable. He worked hard to get us into the right place for the fish. The scenery was amazing!

Made the trip over from Fort Collins and it was worth every second. Hit the cicada hatch and nymphed for steady action all day. Went out with Jackson who is a trout Jedi, looking forward to booking a trip with him again.
