Keystone Lake Ice Rink

Gorgeous lake for skating in the winter. Not only is there a cut little "town" around it, you get beautiful mountain scape in the background. I took this in early Feb during a trip ski.

The ice is a little bumpy, but the Zamboni is run multiple times per day. There are areas to play ho key split off and plenty of room for people to have fun or work on skills.

Watch out for the snow in your blade, it slows your blade down suddenly, like hitting water while running

Such a beautiful day and amazing experience!!! I can’t believe I never went here in the nearly 20 years of living and visiting Summit County!!! The staff at the Adventure Center were great. The skates were great for rentals. And the experience of skating on a huge frozen lake is unforgettable!!! We’re hoping to go again next week before having to leave!

Really fun experience. The ice is well maintained but can be a little rough in some areas. It was my first time ice skating since I was a kid and I did just fine even without a wall to hold onto. Great beer selection in the building, too!

We love skating on a real frozen lake. Coming from the south each year we look forward to this rare and exciting experience. The lake is huge with some areas more groomed than others and a full sized hockey arena in addition to acres of free skate area. They have skate helpers and sleds for babies to ride in.

We love Keystone Lake Ice Rink! First of all unique experience as the views are stunning and you can see thru layers of this ice on the lake specially after machine passing by. So spacious that you don’t feel crowded. Also they have hockey box, separate. Service super nice! Pretty good skates also compare to many rental places and price friendly. Only thing is parking across the road, but that’s not as important

Look. If you’re not down for the largest outdoor ice rink with hockey and sleds for your kids, then I’m not down with you. You can’t possibly be complaining about frozen water, Mountain View’s, fresh alpine air and rental skates. TF is wrong with you?

This place is fire. Plenty of space for the whole family to romp around and not bump into anyone. Straight lawless fun, even on weekends.

Remember, life is as good as you want it to me. Don’t be a salty Nancy (sorry to the Nancy’s out there 🫶🏾).

It was an amazing experience! We were the first to hit the ice for this season. I am an amputee. They allowed me to bring my wheelchair on the ice with my mini skies. They were very accommodating to our needs. Shoe stabilizers walker for the little grandson. It was wonderful!

My daughter loves when she wants a break from skiing! It's cute and manageable for kids.

Very fun place to Lake Ice Skate! I accidently booked the wrong day. (Reservations close the day before) They were super nice and allowed us to skate anyways. A great thing to do when you're off the slopes and looking for family fun!

We went in at opening time (10a) and there were only a few families. The skating area is huge and the ice conditions were perfect. The skate rentals were in good condition as well compared to other places I’ve been to. It was a bit pricy ($30) but the view and experience was totally worth it. We had a lot of fun.

We sat in the bar to look after our grandson. Great view of the rink where the rest of our family were skating. Hire skates available. Food available.

I flew all the way from Florida to Colorado specifically to play hockey here. Keystone Lodge does a fantastic job with the outdoor ice skating on the lake. Friendly staff, and there's a zamboni that resurfaces the ice. It's a huge lake so there's plenty of space to skate, and there's some boards and nets set up if you want to play hockey like myself. Well worth the trip, looking forward to making the pilgrimage back here next year.

Exceptional! The ice was in great shape (2-14-22) and we had an incredible time playing hockey.

Beautiful,there is so much to do and enjoy here in the summer. I love it,the temperature is perfect. If you like hiking,biking,fishing, or just a perfect time by the lake this is the place to be

This was my first time skating on a frozen lake. It was definitely a super awesome experience! Totally worth the $30 for 2 hours. It's clear enough to see through the ice in some of the spots and it was so cool. They clean it well so it's not hard to skate. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't even packed. Definitely recommend 👍

This is so fun! If you have any ability to stay up on skates, give this a try. We took our 6 year old daughter for her first experience on skates and she loved it.

It's pricey if you need to rent skates, but far more reasonable if you bring your own. They use a zamboni to keep the surface reasonably smooth.
My family does all the outdoor things when in the mountains -- this is one of my faves in the winter!

We had such a great time skating and playing hockey on a pond!
