Great place! Camped here for 1 night as I was passing through. Really beautiful place to visit. I did not boat or fish, but really enjoyed the views and took a few pictures. Drive in from Utah was pretty as I came through Vernal and the Uintahs. I'd like to visit again with my family.

The Flaming Gorge National Recreation area is incredibly beautiful! This is the prettiest area that I have ever kayaked at. I launched at the Sheep Creek Boat Launch Area ($5 fee per day and boats are inspected). The visitor centers have souvenirs. There are many trails to hike to overlooks around the reservoir that are pet friendly.

Stayed at Antelope Flats. Kayaked across the reservoir to Green River and came upon Dahl Sheep, 20 feet away. The visitor's center at the dam was nice. Kayaked below the dam for several miles. Class 2 rapids.

Beautiful place! Lake views! You can bring your boat, jet ski, side by side! Fun for kids and adults! At night gets cold! Bring a jacket!

Best place for dispersed camping on the water. Only wish people would leave a place better than how they found it. This spot was trashed with fireworks trash, metal sparkler sticks and melted cans in the pit and broken glass. Come on people,it's not hard.

What an amazing place. Water is clear, warm and you can boat, kayak, paddle board and fish. Cliffs around the lake are breathtaking. Lots of campgrounds around as well.

I shot a wedding video here. And I have to say the cliff where the bride and groom are standing in some of these photos is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen and I’ve been in many places around the world.

It’s great for boating, jet skiing, camping if you have RVs and side-by-side‘s and four wheelers.

It’s between rock springs and Evanston and not far from SLC Utah.

I would bring my family here for sure if I had a boat.

This place was incredible to see! Drove around both sides of the gorge and also has a little walkway to get views right up on the Dam. Loved it!

Best place in Utah for fishing, camping and boating. We camped in red canyon rim and it was one of the best camp sites we ever camped in, it was mid July with no trace of mosquitoes at all, cool breezes at night and magnificent views in the morning at the canyon. We didn't find any trouble finding a spot plus we were told that dispersed camping is allowed as long you try to find a spot that has been camped in before. We also tried rafting and fishing , flaming gorge is famous for a variety of fish so don't miss the chance to try catching a dinner while there.

A nice big reservoir plenty of lake space that gives everyone room to boat. I may not fish but I sure enjoy a nice filet of Kokanee when someone is willing to share. We camp on King Fisher Island the views are always spectacular! Nice floating docks are scattered around the lake, so much nicer than dropping anchor or beaching the boat.

We were driving from Jackson, Wyoming to Steamboat Springs, so we decided to explore this area and follow the Green River. Extraordinary scenery and seems less of a tourist place which pleased us immensely. We got to experience a beautiful night sky. Just loved the area!

This one needs more than five stars! Come and see why! Located in the NE corner of Utah by Colorado and Wyoming is the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area on the Ashley National Forest. We are known for our world renowned fly fishing on the Green River launching just below the Flaming Gorge Dam. There is hiking, biking, the Flaming Gorge Reservoir for all lake boating activities, hunting, ATV trails and the camping! So many outdoor activities in every season. The locals are pretty cool too. There are fireworks shows, car rallies, rodeos, fishing tournaments, Green River clean up and so, so much more! Come up for a visit any time!

As name suggests I did see pronghorn! I camped at the end of the peninsula. Quiet with a nice stone beach all to myself.

Beautiful views, great fishing, and some exciting rafting on the Green River. I would spend at least three days here, there’s so much to see and do. For rafting go with a friend (2 cars) so that you can shuttle the rafts and not pay an exorbitant fee for someone else to do it.

I've been coming to Flaming Gorge ever since I can remember and it's always been my favorite place to spend free time and just relax. The forest and mountains surrounding Flaming Gorge are the best and by far my favorite I've ever visited, and there's such a healthy population of wildlife here and if you want a great little road to drive you should try going and seeing the Sweat Ranch it's a historic site and the loop that you drive on is awesome. You'll usually always see deer there pretty much everywhere up here. There's a growing population of elk, but they are harder to spot but they're there you just need to keep your eyes posted. I've seen some of the biggest Moose I've ever seen up here as well and you'll spot them sometimes in places you'd never expect to find them. This place is also world renowned for its fishing! So if you're someone who enjoys the outdoors and seeing beautiful untouched wilderness then you must make time and plan a trip out to Flaming Gorge! There's also multiple lodges near the reservoir where you can rent a raft to take down the green river and it's the perfect level of difficulty where almost all children of any age can safely float it and enjoy themselves. Hands down my favorite vacation spot and I'd pick Flaming Gorge over anywhere else I've ever been so if you've been thinking about going then you should go and I know that you won't regret it!

This amazing area on the Utah/Wyoming border is an underrated gem. It doesn't get the same hype as the other National Parks in the region but it has just as much to offer. Great vistas, plenty of camping options, wilderness, wildlife, water, and geologic features.

What is there not to love about the Gorge? The fishing is great, the water is clean, the camps are kept clean as well. It is big enough that it never feels like we have "Neighbors" when we are camping.
