I visited the soul food restaurant in April of 2021 and it was so darn good that I came back for dinner 3 days in a row! The woman who owns it and her daughter are special people because they are so extremely friendly and hard working. Really appreciate businesses like this.
I want to come stay at the campground this summer, but have had difficulty getting in touch with anyone. Called several days ago, left a message, no response yet. Just called again and no answer ..... so I left another message. Really hoping that they are still in business and still offering tent campsites and great soul food! I want to spend a week in Arivaca, but only if this place is still in business. If not, then I will have to find another place to spend my vacation.

I’m at a loss of words as to how blown away I was by the entire experience at Soul Food! Ebony and her daughter are beautiful, kind, and loving people who made you feel like family from the moment you walk in the door!! It’s rare in this day and age. The hospitality and level of attentiveness they extended myself and my friends was first class! The food is beyond amazing, every dish we had was exceptional and delicious, and made with love! Thank you both so much for being the highlight of our day, can’t wait to come back again, God Bless!

Family owned soul food restaurant! The staff is beyond friendly and welcoming! The food is even better!! True soul food! We had the catfish and cod; DEVINE! One of the best catfish dishes I've ever had! The cornbread and butter is to die for. We also had the collard greens, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy, and corn! All homemade and absolutely wonderful! When we come back we will be stopping here! They take debit cards as well, which is nice in a small town.

This family-run spot has epic food! Everything I’ve had here has been delicious. Chicken & Waffles are memorable- as is the cod. All the sides I’ve had are really good home-cooking. I’m quickly turning into a regular. Strongly recommend.

We walked in 10 minutes before they stopped breakfast service... and yet they still kindly served us one hell of a delicious meal!! I can't wait to go back for lunch (starts at 1pm) and try the catfish, okra, and mac-n-cheese. The drive to get Arivaca is beautiful... almost as good as the food 🤣

Absolutely loved the food here! Family oriented and the best food in town! Definitely worth the drive from Scottsdale, AZ for great local food! Awesome place for hunters and plenty of amenties. Looking forward to visiting here again soon. The banana pudding is the best and so were the fried catfish! Honestly every part of our meals ( breakfast and dinner) were great.

Food was great. Stopped by for breakfast while in town. Had the pork chop combo and I highly recommend. Gave us a free dessert snack, while we waited for our food. Very nice and friendly family restaurant!!

I cannot say enough beautiful things about this place! The service is untouched, kind, anticipated needs, and overall friendly! There food especially their fish!!! Man its to die for. Home made food with love and you can absolutely taste it! Also their coleslaw is untouchable! Yum!

I loved the place, didn't want to leave. The food I got was just the chili cheese fries (bomb) I ended up putting them on a burger yup, my Arivaca fatboy burger. I will try other foods next time... can't wait.

Update:
We went there for my birthday tonight and they made us feel like family!
The special(chilli dogs and fries) was great, we had the Jalapeno Popper's, the zucchini sticks and the amazing Buffalo wings and they ware amazing!!! To top it off they gave us free dessert on the count it was my birthday...(With a birthday candle on top), they are just great!!!
We had a few beers and a few of the Moscato wine which my wife loved, they have a kids menu, outdoor seating, sports big screen and an amazing staff that will make you have a great time...Thank you guy's for a great time!!!!

Went back for a second time!.. and third... And fourth...
And the food was just great the smothered pork chops... Just Great! They have Italian Ice at the front of the restaurant and it was amazing my favorite was the watermelon flavor!!! Highly recommend, specially after Cycling thru the Arivaca, Rd strech, refreshing and satisfying!!!

Excellent service and great food for a reasonable price. Had the pulled pork sandwiches with onion rings and french fries, coleslaw and beans and rice. We will definitely return when we are in the area. Homemade and delicious 😋

We stayed here as it was convenient to Ruby. We were sorry to leave. Jim and Ebony were so welcoming! The restaurant was great. And sitting outside at night under the stars was so relaxing. We didn’t want to go. Thanks to all the staff for making it a lovely weekend!

Soul food in Arivaca! We had to try this out after our trip down Ruby Road combined with hours spent hiking in this astounding part of AZ. Arrived mid-afternoon and we were shown to our table by a friendly young lady who asked for our drink order. One lemonade and one iced tea. The restaurant is spic and span, attractively decorated and comfortable. The menu offers a good selection but my mind was set on fried chicken and my associate zoned in on the fried catfish. Good food takes time and knowing that ours was being prepared from scratch made the wait worthwhile. Other customers filtered in during our visit and everyone seemed to enjoy the calm, unhurried atmosphere. Our food arrived and I noted the chicken was boneless, but in a good way. Not nuggets and not reconstituted but real chicken fillets that had been deboned and prepared with a beautiful crispy outside, piping hot, collard greens on the side. After the first bite, knew we had made a find. Truly delicious. I am a fried chicken aficionado and would stack this up against the best anywhere. Clearly a different preparation from say, Stroud's of KC, but their equal. GO TO THIS RESTAURANT AND TRY THE FOOD. Enjoy the ambience. This is a family operation and our waitress/hostess's mom is the cook. We chatted with her dad on the way out and reflected on the changes that have taken place over the years. This is without question the best iteration yet. Write a review after your visit. A surprising and welcome addition to the limited Arivaca eating scene. I am not related, not paid and was a total stranger until my first visit. Will make a point of getting back.

Off the beaten path but we'll worth the visit. Ebony the owner is a fantastic hostess. Food was awesome and pricing was very reasonable. Going back on Sat to try the Schrimp and Grits.

Stayed here for about 6 weeks. Was fine. You will need to park in the front if you want to reach Wi-Fi. Most of the people there live there. Cash only place.

We just spent 2 nights, to go to Buenos Aires Wildlife Refuge.
The stars are so bright, I enjoyed my nightly dog walks.
Didn't go to the resturant, but it sure smelled good outside.
Can't knock them for the horrible roads coming in, beware I thought our motorhome would shake apart.

I live here and you can't ask for better people. Jim and Ebony strive to make your stay here enjoyable. You have to try Arivaca Soul Food restaurant for good and tasty food.. Extremely clean park and very well maintained.. You'll enjoy your stay.

So nice and cozy. Great food and the most friendly and welcoming hosts on this planet. Wish you guys all the best and certainly hope to be back at some point!

The restaurant!!!! The owners!!!! Hours closer and we would hang out there when we were not eating there. Such a pleasure and so laid back. One night and we felt like family.
