Mae's Sandwich Shop

I can’t recommend Mae’s enough! I live about a half hour away from here but my boyfriend works in Marshfield so once a month he will bring home Mae’s for me. The quality of the food is so fresh and the sandwich combinations are so creative. I’m a creature of habit so I tend to stick with the Uncle Stevie but love all the options. The portions are also such a good size as well. Always happy after eating here ☺

Been working in the area for a while now but never actually stopped by until today. I ordered the Lazy Susan a sort of Thanksgiving type sandwich with the house roasted turkey, this deliciously flavoring cranberry mostarda, a savory bread pudding, lettuce and mayo. The sandwich was large in size and BIG in flavor.

I also ordered the grape leaves and an A' Siciliana Blood Orange Soda. All of which were delicious as well. As I finished my meal I couldn't help but ask myself one question.

"Why didn't I come here sooner?"

I’ve been meaning to visit Mae’s for some time since moving out to Marshfield and finally stopped in today. The review previous to mine wasn’t kidding when they said Hey Loretta is the best sandwich they’ve ever had (shout out to that reviewer because their review was the reason why I ordered that sandwich in particular). I was blown away. It was such a beautiful sandwich and SOOO delicious! Super fresh and amazing quality ingredients. Their half tea & half cider is incredible as well. You can tell they put a lot of love and care into preparing their food which I feel is something that lacks in the restaurant industry these days. Just amazing. I will be back and often too! Thank you for the amazing food and keep up the good work. What you guys do is incredible!

Update: I’ve been back multiple times since this review and they never miss with their sandwiches. Every single time they’re incredible - so fresh and great portions. This is by far my favorite food place in Marshfield. I cannot recommend it enough! Also their parfait is soooo delicious!

First time visiting Massachusetts and stumbled across Mae’s…now I’m looking for real estate in Marshfield. The Hey Loretta sandwich is VERY DELICIOUS and is hands down the best sandwich I’ve had in my life! You can’t beat the focaccia bread is bonkers! Friendly staff and outside seating on a nice sunny day made our experience incredible!

I was in the area and stopped into the shop on a whim with a friend. I had the chicken salad sandwich and it was absolutely delicious and fresh! Top notch! Highly recommend you try it.

Can a sandwich place be the best restaurant in Marshfield, and one of the best restaurants on the south shore. Yes, yes it can. What’s better than a Jam I Am eaten on the seawall on a sunny Saturday morning? Every ingredient is top notch. Fresh and delicious and the flavors are next level. Haven’t had anything here and not thought “that’s the best sandwich I’ve ever had” after. Great coffee, and baked goods, and everything is just awesome. Bravo, and thanks for being here.

Best sandwiches around. Got the chicken katsu and it was delicious. My favorite is the Dr. Rich meatloaf sandwich but you cannot go wrong here, all the sandwiches are amazing. The house made pickles and mustard sauce really kick it up a notch. They bake their own focaccia bread and use it on most of their sandwiches. Their version of the classic Italian is one of my favorites, as well.

We love Mae’s! Delicious, healthy sandwiches of unrivaled quality. My personal favorite is the Capozzoli - absolutely delicious if you love an Italian sandwich. My husband’s favorite is the Sunrise BLT. My dad and brothers love the Uncle Stevie, my mom's favorite is the Lazy Susan and says the Mae’s salad is to die for! The point is, you won’t be disappointed no matter what you order. I’m so happy to have this local gem in Marshfield. It fits the vibe of Brant Rock perfectly and makes the town a better place!

Mae’s is my new favourite coffee shop on the South Shore. Their service is friendly. Their charming shop is clean. The scones (ham & cheese, cranberry, lemon vanilla) are crunchy on the outside, flavorful and soft on the inside. The drop coffee was lovely and warm. All presented with kindness.

Sunday morning we made our way to Marshfield for some ocean air and stopped at Mae's Sandwich Shop and boy are we glad we did!

This great little shop has a dynamite looking menu and though we hoped for just a quick snack we immediately turned our order into something much larger. Barrington Coffee Roasters from Western Massachusetts is the coffee served and we weren't disappointed with one hot cup of coffee and a cold brew, as well.

Three of us ordered egg sandwiches, two without meat and one with bacon. The sandwiches were described by our oldest daughter as, "The best egg sandwich I have ever had." The sandwiches are served on a brioche roll and have American cheese and a black pepper mayo on them that adds a nice kick to the sandwich. The bacon was crisp and plentiful; a must have order next time, for sure.

It was hard to pass up the maple pecan sticky bun, so we didn't. This sticky bun was about the size of my head and was absolutely loaded with flavors. If you were to enjoy this alone I wouldn't judge but plan for a solid nap post-consumption. A perfect shareable treat and one worth driving to Marshfield for.

Our youngest daughter opted for the PB&J sans the J and scarfed it down. Served on fresh, homemade bread this was not your average PB&J.

We picked up a bag of homemade granola to enjoy during the week and sat outside on the picnic tables outside the shop.

Mae's Sandwich Shop is definitely a spot we will be heading back to in the not too distant future and we encourage you to check it out soon, as well! A great find!

Such a gem! The neighborhood is so lucky to have this sandwich shop. We went three times in the long weekend we stayed nearby. BEC with avocado was amazing and great rolls. The Uncle Stevie makes me want to put roasted shallots on everything. And the TBLT was a classic- fully loaded- great spreads and focaccia. Also def try the caramelized onion dips. Can’t wait to come back!!!

Mae's is slinging unparalleled quality sandwiches wrapped with care. This is exactly the kind of spot that the Ocean Bluff/Brant Rock community has been missing for years. I can only imagine the volume of business they would attract if they opened a shop in a more central location 👀

The only thing that can be said is that this is the best sandwich shop in Massachusetts! Do yourself a favor and try any sandwiches they have. All products are homemade, and you can't go wrong with them.

First of all, i walked into the little "surf" sandwich shop and was greeted by the most delectable and delightful smells 😋 the girl at the counter was knowledgeable and very warm and friendly. I ordered the turkey and swiss with avocado and bacon. This is a pricey sandwich, but i was not thinking about the price when i received my sandwich less than 5 minutes later. It was very thoughtfully constructed and it was HUGE! Now neither of those points can even compare to the TASTE- FRESH and absolutely delicious😋 Mae's knows how to do it! They are here to stay. Thank you to everyone who worked together to build my sandwich! I RARELY give 5 star (and two "yummy" faces) to any review. Mae's has certainly earned it! 😊

Best sandwiches in town! Everything is amazing there, from their sandwiches, granola, homemade pickles and even their rice pudding. It’s all so good!

Easily the best food in marshfield! The sandwiches are so fresh and delicious. Perfect stop before a beach day and lunch on any day!!! Absolute gem!!!! thank you to all the kind workers who put so much love into this place!

Excellent sandwich at a great price! I ordered the Lazy Susan. Fresh ingredients across the board but the carved oven roasted turkey and hearty country white bread stole the show.

I came here for lunch with my coworkers after we finished our job. The service was fast, and the sandwiches were fresh and delicious. I got the Avocado BLT and it was amazing. Next time I'm around the area, I'm definitely stopping here for lunch.
