A very fun and educational experience. Even if you do not know English, it is still a good destination. You can watch their amazing performs.

The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable. And many of them are college students with Polynesian backgrounds.

If you go to the islands, I recommend to go there early and reserve the whole afternoon for it. Say being there at 12:30 and get out like 5pm. In this way you can watch most of the important performances.

I have not tried their food yet but I think the $55 buffet price tag is forbidding. Why not a traditional Hawaiian food restaurant for half the price?

This place is awesome! We purchased the VIP package because we were celebrating our 33rd anniversary. Our guide was Aaron, originally from Fiji, but currently from Australia. He made our day & was worth every penny we spent extra. He treated us like royalty. I loved listening to his stories of his own mother & how he will be the 1st in his entire family to graduate with an education. All of the presentations at each of the islands were so good. We got hula lessons, taught how to use the sticks they use in their music, & a recipe for their coconut bread. We had reserved seating for everything, so we could take our time getting to each place, getting to learn more about each culture from Aaron.
The food wasn't the greatest; the "professional" photos were terrible upon looking closer; I didn't appreciate that we couldn't take photos with a camera at the Ha: Breath of Life show. I would have given it 3 stars had it not been for Arron.
P.S. Orchid leis are VERY hot. Skip the tram & movie. Get the ukulele lesson. Spend extra for the VIP experience.

Fantastic experience. Hear me out. So if you see the price for one admission is over 100+ per person, you actually get a lot for that price. This includes access to all the show's all afternoon, workshops and games, free souvenirs that you can make, boat rides, a huge delicious buffet, and a luau type show that's Broadway worthy IMO. I mean I didn't know what to expect, but came out of this place with lots of memories and laughter.

The thing I like most is that the more you see and hear the stories and songs, the more you talk to the people of the islands, the more you and your family engage with everyone there, it gives you a better understanding, appreciation, and respect for the island. You see the island as more than a vacation spot after visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center.

Your kids will love it. I promise.

So, IMO, this place should be the first place you go before you go anywhere else in Honolulu. Trust.

Visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center was an incredible experience. The shows and exhibits were beautifully curated, offering a perfect blend of education and entertainment. I was especially impressed with the punctuality, organization, and efficient management throughout the center, making everything run smoothly. It's also fantastic how they support graduate students. Overall, it was a five-star experience that was both enriching and delightful. Highly recommend for an insightful and engaging day out!

More than 5*s this is a must visit if you are in Hawaii! Been fascinated by Hawaii and its islands since I was little and the cultural centre should be a non negotiable on your trip. Especially as a tourist it’s important and also amazing to learn about the history of Polynesian cultures, their rituals, food, dances etc. perfect day for families too there’s so much to do, plenty of shows to see and even talks held by islanders. Will never forget our day here it’s well worth the price. Parking is available, plenty of food options and activities too. 10/10

As many people have commented, this is pretty much a whole day activity. There is a lot of things to see and activities to try out. I actually felt a little overwhelmed when first entering as I did not plan out before or really look into what was offered, so once I got the map and realized how much stuff there was it took a few minutes to come up with a game plan. We paid for the buffet meal which did not disappoint. The hall is surprisingly huge and there are a lot of options. The show at the end of the night was fantastic. Without ruining anything, I thought the ending with the fire was amazing.

Amazing palace to visit. A wealth of knowledge and all for a good cause to help college kids pay for school. The staff is great. The shows are amazing. The VIP package is well worth the money, and the tour guides tailor to what you want to see and do.

Great experience worth the time and money . You will learn a lot especially if you have a guide . Ours was from Fiji and she really helped us learn a lot of her own background made it so much more enjoyable. The luau was good and pineapple drink was great along with the historical presentation. The highlight was the final show Ha Breath .. it was a show stopper that really brought all the previous learning together. If you can don’t miss this one.

This place is definitely a must visit when visiting Oahu! Closer to the north shore, but we had a tour bus drop us off and pick us up here. We were able to visit all 6 islands at the place, and watch a few shows while also learning about the history of each island, and the different cultures. It's a really fun and educational experience. We also did the luau buffet and saw the Breath of Life show. I would recommend both 100%! You are greeted with a yummy and delicious pineapple drink upon being seated at the luau, and the food was delicious!

We went to celebrate our anniversary and were at first iffy on how expensive the tickets were. They did a great job wowing us! We did the island tour, went on two canoe rides, experienced a few of the “islands”, saw a few presentations and had a blast at the Queen’s Luau and ended with the stage performance, Ha, breath if Life. The only thing I am sorry about is I wish we started our vacation there instead of ending it, since tickets are a 3-day pass. There is so much to experience it really was too much for one day. There is still so much I would have loved to experience there, sonce each of the 7 islands has a separate presentation, and we only had time for 3 of them on our tour. They are closed on Sundays, so if you plan, keep in mind Sundays are closed.

SO AWESOME!!!! Our hostess Miss. Messy was so sweet and knowledgeable. The entire staff called us 'family' made us feel welcomed. The Center is bursting with things to do, eat, and experience. The Luau was out of this world! All the performances were amazing. Especially Ha - Breath of Life. Definitely recommend stopping by and making a day of it!

Hands down, this has been the best experience thus far! Our tour guides Adelaide and Shannon were absolutely adorable, professional, and amazing. Our server Best during the Hale Aloha Luau was great. It's definitely a must! You will NOT regret it! Also, great vegetarian options as well. ZERO COMPLAINTS, ONE MILLION COMPLIMENTS!

Have been here before, and used the Go Oahu pass. There is lots of free parking, so thats nice. Each time a different experience here. We didn't have a full day, but we're able to do most things. It is truly beautiful inside. I wouldn't recommend going later than 2pm or you don't have enough time. There are lots of things to do for kids, teens and adults. Shows are educational and funny. Wish there was a mini hula dancing sample in the middle of the day for those who don't stay for the full big theater Ha Breath of Life show. Other than that you can fish, learn the ukulele, get a fake tattoo, go on a canoe ride or canoe yourself, you can learn to weave, and have food tasting among lots of other things. The marketplace has significantly over priced things and food, but there isn't much else around. We opted to drive to get pizza instead. The people inside are nice and very helpful. The facilities are clean and there are water fill stations.

This is a cultural center representing Hawaii. You can learn about Polynesian life and history, enhancing your understanding of Hawaiian culture. As it's conducted in English, language barriers might be felt, and planning your own route could be challenging, so I recommend opting for a guided tour. Most guides are BYU students, and they are enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Since it's over an hour's drive from the many hotels and accommodations in Waikiki, if you have a short itinerary, you'll need to allocate a whole day. Parking is free, so if you've rented a car, driving is better than taking a shuttle. Taking the eastern route along Oahu offers scenic views, making the journey enjoyable.

This was the most amazing, well run activity we did our whole vacation. I never stopped smiling. I will admit, we went all in for the Super Ambassador Package. we had our own guide the whole day till the luau started. she made the visit so much more enjoyable and worthwhile. we started by taking a canoe to the farthest “island” thus avoiding the crowd who came in and went to the first “ island”. Our tour guide enhanced our visit with a wealth of information throughout the day and really made the effort to get to know us. If an activity had started, or was full, she brought it to us in a separate space, at every show, we had front row seats. the afternoon passed so easily, no rushing, no worries we were missing anything. When we had seen everything, she made sure that we got to the Luau in time to see the pig coming out from the underground oven. The entertainment during the luau was calm and pleasant lending itself to a lovely meal. The food was amazing and we were treated to a Piña colada smoothie. Desserts were also fabulous. The main show Ha was like a broadway show. Beautiful singers, dancers and story tellers. The Fire twirlers took our breath away.

It's an all-day adventure! I strongly recommend stopping at each country. They are each unique and have hands-on activities. The staff is phenomenal! They are very knowledgeable and helpful. The gateway buffet had an amazing selection of delicious food. The night show was amazing! This was one of my favorite activities in Honolulu

This is a theme park where the essentials of the Polynesian cultures are presented neatly in a nutshell. The tour guides are all students but they are well trained and very professional. They are super nice and friendly. The activities in the villages are all interactive. You participate in hula dancing, singing, weaving etc. To me the Samoan talk show was the best and so funny. The fire dances are the most exciting. The place is just full of good happy vibes. We purchased the luau tickets in advance and that gives a 10% discount, and includes admission for 3 days to the villages in the center. There's a hula performance presented along with the luau, and then you can go to the night show, which is also a top notch experience. All in all we enjoyed the center tremendously and it was very good value for money.

Wow! Highly recommend. I knew going in it was ran by LDS but it didn't really show at the center. The only mention is each performer thanks you for providing support for them to attend BYU. It is done very tasteful and not overpowering at all. We did the package with the islands, luau and show. It's pricey but totally worth it. We added transportation and Uncle Brandon was awesome giving us a narrative the whole way. Kudos to our group tour guide "Moi". This experience was the highlight of our trip to Oahu. No alcohol but you don't even miss it with the experience moving along not giving you time to think about.
