Narmada Winery

The property is beautiful and peaceful, so it was a real treat to enjoy a selection of their wines while lounging comfortably on the wraparound verandah/porch. Their white wines are especially good. The Indian food offered is also very very tasty and authentic. Visited on a Saturday and there was love music, which was a great touch. Narmada is good for a chill day of wine drinking (on the wraparound or on one of the chairs beneath one of the many trees), nibbling, and going then going for a walk to the pond.

Visited as part of a Spirited Tours winery and vineyard tasting. Harvest time was just beginning but the owner took time to chat with our tour group. Great experience.

Great experience, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Grounds are amazing and the accessibility for all is a plus. Live music was a plus.

Deserves all the awards! As a Cabernet drinker, I tried both the 2018 Franc Cabernet and the 2019 Reserve.

Both were amazing, real smooth and subtle aftertaste. Great job by Sudha!

Great wines…Reflection, MOM, Gulabi, and all their dessert wines are awesome. The samosas and butter chicken were delicious, as well. Definitely recommend!

One of our favorite wineries- love the wines, the property, and the food! We enjoyed a 2 hour reservation with samosas and wine flights on the covered balcony- a perfect way to spend a soggy fall Sunday. Tried a wine slushy, and fell in love with the Chambourcin/red!

We had a really great experience. The staff is really helpful and welcoming. They answered our questions in detail.

They have 3 different flights for wine testing, each of these have combinations of White, Red and dessert wines. Flight 1 has most of the sweater wines.

During our visit the winemaker Dr. Sudha Patil was there herself. She was personally asking everyone about their experience and feedback. We even had an interesting talk with her about wine making process and she showed us the wine making area and explain the process.

I'm not a professional wine taster but I do have a new found interest in red wines.. The Midnight and Tannat are my top 2 picks.

It's a fairly new business, started just 10 yrs back in 2009. It has a lot to offer in coming years as it continues to grow..

My wife and I finally were able to make it out here. The food was delicious. Good wine, we brought home a bottle of Cab Franc. Friendly staff. We were happy they were kid friendly.

This is a very beautiful upscale winery. Greeted immediately upon entry (masks required) by Tasting Room Manager Alexander Diaz. He assisted us with selecting a perfect bottle to enjoy outdoors...plenty of outdoor seating choices from an elegant balcony with lovely views, to lower patio with mature landscaping...a must experience selfie area LOVE sign 😍

We had been here two years ago and loved it. We returned on a Monday in the time of COVID and we couldn’t have been happier with our stop. They were doing their best to space the few couples there as much as possible. My husband did one tasting and I did another, both we’re great! We left with three bottles which includes the Mom wine because it’s such a great white for a red fan. We were sad the kitchen wasn’t open but we TOTALLY understand. We cannot wait for the pandemic to be over to come back with friends.

Loved the place! Fun outing for the whole family. Play area for the kids ( rare for a winery). Outdoor and indoor seating. Superb selection of wines. Awesome sangria ( mint never ever uplifted a drink so much!!) And amazing Indian food selection. Fantastic papri chat, samosas, and butter chicken. Kids were happy and we were in bliss!

I love this place!! Narmada's wines are amazing and on a whole 'nother level. The knowledgeable staff and owners are one of a kind while serving unique and tasty grapes. With nice views and the smell of great dishes lofting through the air from their kitchen I couldn't help but join the wine club... Now we only need to officially try the food. Thanks for the great experiences Narmada!!

We stopped at Narmada after a hike in Shenandoah and had a wonderful experience. The entrance is easy to find right off the main road and the grounds were beautiful. We were warmly greated immediately upon entering and given a quick tour of the tasting menu. They have a number of Indian food options upstairs as well as homemade personal size pizza served by a very nice gentleman downstairs. The hummus was fresh and creamy and the pizza can be customized to your liking. We enjoyed our wine on the deck and our food was delivered to us quickly. We are not normally fans of Rosé, yet Narmada's Rosé had a great flavor, highly recommend.

Sudha is so personable and knowledgeable and genuinely excited about her wines. Alex was tremendously helpful. We had a lovely and safe socially distanced wine tasting and a relaxing afternoon enjoying the beautiful weather and some delicious food and wine! To those visiting Virginia wine country, a stop at Narmada winery is a must! You won't be disappointed!

This winery is pretty and has plenty of seating and tables for large groups. What’s unique about this winery is the Indian cuisine that they make on the grounds. Very tasty and delicious wines. Really enjoyed relaxing in the Adirondack chairs as I sipped on a glass of wine. Must stop during travels.

Beautiful views, nice atmosphere, good wines.
People were polite — owned and run by an Indian family (from India) — we smelled some great indian food being prepared for a special event for that evening — the kitchen had closed for the evening but we will be back to try the tasting plates as pairings with the wine!

Such a beautifully maintained area. It was so peaceful sitting on the patio overlooking the property. Staff was pleasant and accommodating!

Our family has been to Narmada a couple times over a few years and we enjoyed both visits. In our most recent, Lucas led a tasting for us, and he was knowledgeable, funny, and flexible enough to deal with a few requests for seconds. There were no duds in their lineups -- they had three tasting lineups to choose from -- and one of us took home a bottle of the wine named for the owner's children. We ordered some of the Indian food available and enjoyed everything. The tasting room and patios are clean and expansive, with good views outside. Alone it would have been worth the drive from the Reston area, but was even better paired with Magnolia a few miles down the road.

Narmada is our favorite winery. We have been visiting regularly for the past five years. We love the ambience, friendliness, service...and the butter chicken! Every wine we have tried is excellent. You cannot go wrong (although my favorite is Cab Franc reserve). And Narmada is family friendly. This winery is a true find!
