On vacation nearby and wanted to try some local wine. We told them what we liked and they recommended a fantastic wine! We had a glass while there and ended up buying 2 bottles to take home. The view and ambiance were amazing as well on a beautiful fall afternoon.

My husband and I kind of consider ourselves wine snobs (snicker if you want, we laugh at ourselves all the time!). Been drinking wine for 5-10 years now and our taste has developed a lot. We usually can like anything ranging from a from dry to semi sweet. I had a HARD TIME choosing which wine I liked best (same for my husband). This place 10000% knows EXACTLY what they are doing in the wine business. We left with 6 bottles and I’m almost sad we didn’t get more.

The outdoor upstairs patio is actually very quaint and charming. Very nice for a tasting.

The bathroom was definitely dated and not the cleanest. The tasting room was okay but not necessarily an atmosphere I’d want to sit and do a tasting at. Definitely willing to look past these minor things for the amazing wine they have.

We had a very enjoyable Sunday afternoon on April 17. Hanna helped us with sampling the Pinot Gris, Cabernet Franc and the Sparkling Riesling - all excellent! We enjoyed learning about the history of this 45-year-old winery and it will become a routine stop on Rt. 81 as I travel by. It's just minutes off the highway. The wines will make worthy gifts to friends.

Such a cute winery with a nice view of the mountains. Wines are decently good! Atmosphere is rustic.

Their 2016 Odette and Viognier are delicious. The scenery is absolutely stunning. They are located just off i81 exit 279 in Edinburg Virginia.

Delicious wines, Beautiful vineyard and amazing host!

We stopped at this winery on our way to Virginia Tech. I am so glad that we did because it turned out to be a great experience.
The vineyard was still frosted because of the cold whether but the seating outside was perfect as you get lot of sunlight. We opted for tasting which was 8$ per person. The host was very interesting lady. She told us the background of the winery and how she met the owner. The story will spark instant loyalty towards the vineyard.
Regarding tasting, most of vines were interesting however the rebel red was the one that stands out. Its red wine yet it doesn't have that okay acidic character. It was a perfect picnic wine and we ended up buying two bottle of that and had our little picnic in the balcony.

I would definitely recommend checking this place out and get a bottle of Rebel Red!

Cut to the chase, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is absolute perfection. Meanwhile, the wine tasting with charcuterie was delicious. The 2018 Chardonnay wasn’t … pleasant, but the overall experience was wonderful. The staff were wonderfully engaging and knowledgeable, and happy to help us sample a variety of options outside of the wine flight. A great experience…as the second oldest vineyard in VA— we expected an excellent experience and they delivered.

My husband and I were here this past weekend for our anniversary. Unfortunately due to a miscommunication, we missed the last tour which was very disappointing. We were still able to do a full tasting and we were very impressed with the wines. The ambiance was very nice and the staff was very knowledgeable. Despite arriving 30 minutes before close, the staff was more than willing to let us stay a while and enjoy a bottle on their beautiful deck (the Rebel Red, which was fantastic). We ended up buying 3 bottles, and honestly, I will be keeping an eye out for their wines when I see Virginia wines available here in Maryland. I would definitely recommend visiting this winery if you are in the Shenandoah Valley area! Doing so really started our anniversary weekend off perfectly!

We stopped in to pick up some wine on our way to NY from Louisiana. I'm sad we didn't catch her name but the woman at the desk was so helpful and friendly! Not to mention - all of the wines were delicious!! This will definitely be a regular stop on our trips through.

Super pretty vineyard. My husband and I split a wine flight and ended up going home with a bottle of the 2020 rosé.

Cannot say enough positive words about this winery or about our wonderful host, TC. The wine was outstanding and TC made our experience so perfect. She was so personable and equally knowledgeable. We will definitely be back just to see her again!

Was on my way back to Frederick, MD after making a trip to Bristol, VA to pick up a 1840s Classical Revival mahogany bed. I am very particular about good wine and am in regular search of a great tasting room with quality scenery, and exceptional wine to retreat to with my laptop when the office gets a bit to hectic. Well, Shenandoah really fit the bill. Not too pretentious...sort of "rural sophistication." I asked about their Chardonnay and Ivy was quick to elaborate on their 2017; it was perfectly chilled with a slight hit of oak. I am old-school and love a perfectly balanced buttery Chard; this seemed a perfect balance between old and new (bought 2). With little time, I swept through several reds and was mighty pleased. I purchased a Cab Sav and a Cab Franc; I also bought a bottle of the Reserve on Ivy's advice alone; probably because she is so cute. Anyway, this was a great experience and hope to return soon. Worth a visit when you need a break from barreling up I-81.

I loved the wines. None of them were bad and some were excellent. The women working in the tasting room were really fun and informative. The setting was lovely as well. It was one of my favorite wineries I've visited in Virginia.

We were in town for a weekend getaway and decided to give this winery a try after hearing about Michael Shaps purchasing the place. I’m so excited to see the next chapter for this winery. The tastings are all Shaps’ wine... which are excellent and affordable, considering the quality. It was sleepy the day we visited, but the grounds are beautiful and the tasting room/indoor area is lovely and comfortable. Outside food and kiddos welcome. Definitely hit up this winery and keep it on your watch list as Shaps is in leadership.

In visiting of my son and daughter in law who moved to Harrisonburg VA from Chicago down town a couple of months ago. This was our second visit since, but the first visit to vineyard in east region of USA.. Our luck hit to Shenandoah Vineyard 2 days ago .Bingo. TC was friendly, knowledgeable and fun creator during the tasting time. My team's faces turn to red (but me-driver) at the end of 10 tastings. Left with 3 bottles-Cabernet Sauvignon, Rebel Red and Ice wine. Was good time . Thanks.

Had a lovely tasting with T.C.! She was warm and welcoming and she knew her stuff. The 10 tastings for $10, was an excellent deal and the wine was delicious. Left with a bottle of the Cabernet Sauvignon.

We just enjoyed a wonderful 2010 Cabernet Franc from a long-ago visit to the winery. It was absolutely wonderful and opened up after an hour or so. Lovely place to visit!
