Latin Excursions

We traveled to Brazil using Latin Excursions in January 2024.
Every detail was considered and the service was great. They had a local representative to take care of any changes or questions. The trip was to Rio and Salvador. Rio is a dreamy beautiful city but difficult with the crowds on the beach and the general atmosphere of crime and danger. Tourist locations are easy, fun and safe: Christ sculpture, sugarloaf, botanical gardens. Uber works very well. Food is sophisticated. My favorite city was Salvador. The Afro Ballet the first night in Salvador was one of the highlights of the trip as was the general immersion of Afro culture throughout the city. This is something I have never been exposed too and it was an eye opener. Black culture in the US has little African culture left in comparison. Latin Excursions know the areas intimately.

Perfect combination visiting Rio and Salvador. Rio is a dream although as tourist you need to be mindful of location. Fasano Hotel amazing and watching daily sunset from roof top pool unforgettable. Favorite tourist destination Sugar Loaf.

Salvador the place to stay Hotel Villa Bahia, in Pelourinho neighborhood the historic center with colonial buildings and baroque churches. Felt very safe throughout our stay. Loved the women's percussion group. Museums a total surprise with favorites being Museu Afro-Brasilero, Museu MAC, Museu MAM and the Paulo Darzé Galeria.

I would definitely use this team again. We had a complicated trip when we had another family party we were trying to coordinate with. We much appreciated that they were able to connect us with them when we were traveling.
