Venice Electric

I chose Venice Electric because of the years that they have been in business and they are local. From the office staff to the electricians, they were professional, courteous and accommodating. They installed fans and lights for me. The electricians were respectful and neat. They did a great job and were careful with the products.
I would definitely recommend them for your electrical needs. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I cannot begin to express how professional, competent, thorough, and fair Venice Electric is. This company did our original electric work over thirty years ago when we built our home. Within the past four months, we scheduled them to update our kitchen, pantry, garage, and outdoor lighting, and on subsequent visits, they repurposed and rehung a large ceiling fan, installed a new fixture in our breakfast area, replaced an outdoor outlet, checked circuits, and made recommendations for other issues. John, John, and Dylan were timely, professional, careful, and thorough. In the office, Meghan and Ginger responded quickly and accurately to our needs and details for each visit. We would not consider using any other company for our electric needs.

We had an intermittent, difficult to diagnose issue with a periodically tripping breaker, and John did a terrific job getting the problem squared away.

Meghan, Don and John were absolutely phenomenal to work with and their attention to detail sets a very high bar for anyone else. They truly care about making sure you're informed and involved in each stage of the process. They are fair and just great people to deal with.

John was great and highly recommend. He came out to do a repair job for our insurance, but was very clear in communicating the length of time that repair job would be compared to a full replacement. He was able to get it replaced for our insurance quickly and the work was done very clean. Very professional and great with communication. Felt comfortable working with him!

I had the most courteous and professional young man at our home his name is Spencer. I cannot say enough about him from his demeanor to his attention to detail and everything in between. He's an animal lover of which we have a few. My highest regards to his employer. From the moment I called to place a service call with Ginger I knew we were in good hands. I had a fuse that kept popping after the electricity came back on after hurricane Ian. I called them they took my info called me back in a couple of hours and had a electrician on the way to my house and fixed the problem. Definitely a TRUSTED company for our community in this time of need. Thank you guys

John my technician was courteous and knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed my electrical issue and repaired it. I will be referring Venice Electric to my friends and neighbors.

Great communication and work

Honest and competent

Up front, I will preface that their work was completed post hurricane Ian here in SW Florida, so I know this company was busy.
They showed up at late, a little after 9 am and I clocked them out a little after 10 am when the work was completed.

The final bill was for 2 hours labor for main electrician plus the apprentice for a grand total of $477. Materials were $27.

The main electrician, Rick was clearly irritable, and not having a good day already that early in the morning. Upon completing the work, he explained the job would be approximately $600, and he stated he would bill me. He left no card, no paperwork, and zero information.

Upon calling the power company, the representative asked me which company worked on the line, which technician completed the repairs, and what was their license number, and what exact work did they complete....
I was left with no clue on how to answer those questions, and I had no card nor information given to me to forward to the power company.

After calling the nice lady at Venice electric, she gave me the required information to allow the power company to execute the repair order.

I'm not so sure I would ever recommend Venice electric because of this experience. The work that was completed was satisfactory, however, as a customer, I was put in a position where I could not have the required info supplied to me to allow the representative at the power company to turn on the power.

Moreover, I find it amazing how the work to bolt up my power line to the house was about an hour that turned into 2 billable hours. I have a clock in the house that runs on batteries ....lol
As for Venice electric as a company... I would probably recommend them, but as for their electrician Rick, he can just stay at home.

Awful service and the secretary or whom ever she is was a serious Karen I will never suggest this company to anyone unfortunately.. I do support small businesses but not this one
