Maine Street Coastal Cuisine

This was mine and my boyfriend's first time eating here. One of our friends recommended it and we weren't disappointed! We ordered the fried calamari (don't let the photo fool you, we had already eaten some), fried catfish tacos and fish and chips. The food was delicious and the staff were very nice.

Food was very good, nice service. A large group arrived right after us, and it was a bit noisy, but that is not "on the restaurant".

I was able to pick the owner out as well, as he was busy doing EVERYTHING, from speaking to customers to clearing tables. Much respect for this restaurant owner and his efforts to make his customers dining experience a great one.

We will be going back.

They hit this one out of the park. Food was delicious for everyone (I had the lobster roll and it was excellent) and it was served quickly and simply. Even the coffee was great! We will be back for sure.

Very nice place! Good atmosphere and food. The service was on point as well. The lemon pepper wings were better than the fried shrimp. I ended up eating off my sister's plate they were so good! I expect I'll be back sooner than later.

Wow delicious!! Got the roast beef dip and was to die for. The fry’s were amazing as well. The service was amazing! Very professional but very homie loved the Atmosphere. Will be coming back here before I leave the area.

Maine Street Coastal has consistently delivered great quality seafood, which is the most important aspect for me. I’ve eaten here many times and have always enjoyed my food. My favorite way to dine here is to stop in for lunch and get the fish and chips with a cold beer. The fish and chips are a perfect portion size, and they can be complimented by ketchup, tartar sauce, or malt vinegar (all included) without relying on any. It is usually pretty quiet at this time, but you can expect tables to start filling up at dinner time.

For those of you living in Cartersville, I’m sure you’ve noticed how many downtown businesses are closed on Mondays (sometimes Tuesdays as well). So, you can also appreciate that this place is open seven days a week.

As for service, Amber is always a pleasure, and John (owner) remains truly engaged, regularly serving, greeting, and talking to his customers.

It’s a very old building, like many in Cartersville. Subtle wharf-like decor sets the tone without being overbearing or tacky. It’s pretty dark inside, which contributes to the atmosphere positively during dinner but might feel a bit dreary during lunch visits.

Overall, this place may not be the fanciest, but it’s welcoming and probably my favorite.

The lobster tail was delicious. The staff was kind and allowed our party of 10 to be sat after we called only a couple hours before. This was safe for me and I have celiac. Our server was awesome! They heated up a gluten free bun for me to eat when everyone else got regular bread.

The shrimp and grits were very good. Clam chowder was excellent. the lobster bisque was very good according to my wife. They have lots of fresh fish and shellfish. Tori our server was excellent. The ambience and atmosphere is quite nice. We will return.

Staff immediately walked us to our table. Adequate time for deciding while server got our drinks. Didn't wait long for our delicious salad and then our awesome fish and green beans followed shortly after. I would rate this a 10 and we will be repeat customers.

In for lunch today. Not crowded at all but I was after peak lunch hours. I tired the shrimp and grits and it was very good. A lot of choices on the menu. Mixed berry cheesecake for dessert and of course it was the best part of the meal. The staff was friendly and quick with service.

This is a beautiful place to relax and dine with friends and family. The richly appointed dining room and bar are just wonderful. The service at Main Street Coastal Cuisine is present just when you need them and accurate in fulfilling all requests. We enjoyed the appetizers and the entrees that we ordered. We'll definitely be back.

So nice to have discovered this jewel. A fabulous seashore seafood restaurant with a nice variety of fresh fish and sides. We had trout and seabass and it was delicious. A very nice restaurant with an exceptional atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Great experience. Shrimp and scallop grits is a dish that deserves the awards it has received. Trout served with grits and green beans was perfect. Excellent prices and large portions. Class production to to bottom. Good service. We'll be back.

The food is fresh and delicious. Good quality shrimp and very tasty. It's hard to find a good value these days with inflation but this place you can have a great meal that is far superior for the same price of some garbage chain or fast food. People are really nice and love the local flair. We'll be back as often as we can!

This is an absolute favorite of ours! We usually only try new restaurants but this is one of a few, we do come back to! The seafood is so fresh, service is friendly and the atmosphere is beautiful! We will come back every time we are in Georgia!

Amazing food! Great atmosphere! We visited family this past weekend and this is the place they wanted to take us! I am so glad they did! I had the Trout with green beans, and grits, it was AMAZING! We had 7 people in our party and everyone was blown away by how delicious all the best food was! Our server was very professional with a side of sweetness and super quick with everything. We cannot wait to go back to Main Street Coastal Cuisine!
