I came to this location based upon their reviews, and I am so happy that I did! It was obvious that they were busy. I'm on crutches and needed to get back to S.C. The owner not only test drove my vehicle, but he was able to diagnose the main issue, order the parts, and had me on my way in no time. I needed a coil and plug for my Expedition. The wait was pleasant. The young lady at the front was very kind and helpful! Price was reasonable and very fair for last-minute service! He is honest and caring, and I truly appreciate him (John, I think)! Take the worry and frustration out of looking, head on over to Garrett Automotive for all your mechanical needs! The people there are professionals, not only are they very friendly but they know their stuff really well. I had issues with my car and two flat tires and they fixed it up the next day.

Took a 2010 Chevy Truck to Garrett's for a pre-purchase inspection. John did a very thorough job and found some significant issues that I did not detect. I did not purchase this truck as potential repairs would have been costly. John is very knowledgeable and I would definitely trust him with future business!

My son was traveling to his first PBA event as a professional, the US Open in Indianapolis.
He was traveling from Orlando, Florida. He started to overheat in Cartersville, Georgia. He called me and I put him up in a local hotel. I went on Google to try and find a family owned repair shop. I’m
partial to the family owned shops because I own one also, and I like to think that we are more personal, and appreciative of our customers over the big chain stores!
I read their reviews and they were very positive, and over and over again what was mentioned was honesty, knowledgeable, and caring!
So I chose Garrett automotive, and they did not disappoint! They fixed my sons car at a very fair and reasonable price. They even found another issue, informed me of it and corrected that also. Also, my son had to get to the US open so I rented him a car. Courtney said that it was okay that we had to leave the car there for a week until he got back! She was very caring, understanding and personable throughout this whole ordeal!
I would recommend Garrett automotive to anyone in need of top notch repairs and customer service!

When I was in a time of need they were the only mechanic in town that offered fast service. While other places told me 2 weeks before they would even look at my car, Garrett Automotive told me it would only be 2 days.

They will provide you with updates along the way for what is going with your vehicle and they are very professional. The prices are fair. They’re not too expensive and they’re not too cheap.

I feel as if the turn around time to finish my vehicle could’ve been slightly better, but I felt the quality of this fix outweighed the time.

I would definitely recommend Garrett Automotive with your vehicle needs! They’re trained and professional.

I really appreciate how honest Garrett's was with my situation. We had to replace an engine and an AC system, and it was going to be so expensive no matter where we took our minivan. Thankfully, John Garrett took great care of us, and watched our costs wherever possible. He was upfront and honest about the damage, and kept his word to the end with pricing and repair time. I really appreciate their professionalism and kindness.

I am from Wyoming my Lincoln Navigator had rear ended problems they got me in that day and diagnosed by the end of the day.parts would have take about ten days to get or more. Either way they got salvage parts that took one day from salvage yard they did extensive work to get the job done . The last day I was there I brought my brothers car in to get air conditioner recharged so we could leave town that day. I call these guys the good old boys . I have Over 3000mi on navigator and everything still working great . The other car air conditioner still works great . If these guys were in Wyoming they would be my mechanics no doubt five stars from me

Great communication. Great service. Very honest. Did I say very honest? I have been to many shops around Cartersville, and stuck with the first honest one I found. Been using them for several years now and they do what they say they are going do.
Adding to this review is the care the owner had for us. He sat down with us to discuss the options for my daughters vehicle. He went over and beyond to help a bad situation (with the vehicle, not the service).

I came here after being taken advantage of somewhere else. I walked in upset and the gal at the front counter was kind the understanding. The mechanic stopped what he was was doing and pulled my car in right away (I did not have appt.) The car was assessed properly and quickly. The work was completed within a workday. The owner was upfront and knowledgeable. I’m very happy to have an honest mechanic. Thank you Garrett’s.

Quick and accurate diagnosis of my vehicle, very friendly staff!

We broke down and thought our transmission was fried. A friendly stranger recommended Garrett's shop a few blocks away, so we towed our car to them. As soon as our car was off the tow truck the mechanics started taking a look at it and immediately identified the issue. Our transmission was saved, and everything was taken care of quickly. The owners are very friendly and made sure to make themselves available if we had any questions. We're new in town, and we're glad to have found a reliable and honest shop!

I had an unexpected issue with my car late Friday evening, and this crew stayed late to make sure my vehicle was fixed so I could get safely to my destination. They were professional, efficient and kind. I would highly recommend this place.

We were traveling through Cartersville yesterday and our van broke down. Gattett Automotive got us in and got us fixed and back on the road very quickly. The owner and the staff were AWESOME to deal with. They were all respectful and courteous and very nice. We couldn't get in for a last minute oil change, but he topped off the coolant for no charge. Definitely helped out my mom. My husband's car only took a few hours, but they had honest review and didn't try to fix and charge everything. They told us what was actually wrong, and it was totally fair. Awesome service!
