Steve's Famous Diner

This place is exactly what I needed and then some. I am a breakfast person who wants some of everything but since I am on a budget I asked for the smallest portions of my two favorite things: 1/2 biscuit and sausage gravy, and 1 pancake. The food was out to me before I could even tap my foot once. The sausage was perfectly creamy and just enough sausage in small delightful pieces that were the perfect texture. The pancake could've been eaten without syrup and the real butter I was served. It was also thick and fluffy and just sweet enough. I loved that the staff all said hello tp each other very cheerfully as they came in and every customer seemed to be a friend. The tables were clean and so was the silverware, where I am from that alone is a win. Also, the coffee was fresh and hot. Highly recommended this place.

We ate here on a Monday during lunch. Our waitress, Joanne B, was very attentive, friendly, and did a great job. The homemade bread was delicious along with the chicken noodle soup, salisbury steak dinner $12.49, pork chop & eggs breakfast $16.49 were all good. We love comfort food and will definitely return.

Hot affordable food that is delicious. You will not be disappointed here. This is a long established locally owned restaurant. The servers are great, working as team to refill and clear your table. Our server Clare was exceptional.

We’ve been wanting to check out Steve’s famous diner for awhile now! FINALLY we visited on 01/25/2024
I highly recommend Steve’s Diner on Nova. We had a very friendly attentive waitress. I ordered the Gyro Platter which came with the soup of the day, delicious Creamy chicken noodle soup. The Gyro Platter was huge, reminiscent of authentic New York style Gyro’s, lots of tender lamb, creamy tzatziki sauce on warm pita bread.
AND because it was our first visit we received huge loaf of their homemade bread to take home and enjoy!!!

I live about a mile from Steve’s Famous Diner and love being able to pop by for any meal because they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner! It’s great homestyle Greek diner food! Almost every meal comes with soup or you can upgrade to a side salad for a very small fee. Last Monday was a dreary rainy day and I didn’t want to cook! It was also my birthday so I grabbed a jacket and headed to Steve’s. The place was quiet because of the rain and it was only 4 o’clock. I ordered the chicken parmigiana which came with spaghetti noodles and upgraded to a salad. Everything was so delicious. As I ate, people were starting to fill up the place and the rain was coming down harder. I mentioned to my server, Shandra W., that it was my birthday. She said let me see about getting you a slice of pie. I had no idea all the waitresses would be there singing 🎶 and bringing their famous chocolate pie!! Wow. Needless to say, I was surprised and slightly embarrassed. I should have known better but I really didn’t think things would escalate to that extent. 😂 Ok! I’m now 77!! And it was so much fun! Thanks Shandra for making my birthday so special!! And thanks Steve’s for empowering your staff to be so kind and thoughtful. See ladies! Don’t be afraid to dine alone even on a rainy holiday!

We had dinner and the food was really good! Cynthia B was our waitress and she was great, even though she was very busy as the place was packed she made sure that we had everything we needed from start to finish. The only problem we had was we ask a waitress passing by if she could get us something and she rudely said you need to ask your waitress and we felt that was completely unacceptable. With that said our overall experience was Great and give Cynthia 5+stars but that other waitress needs some training on customer service ! We will be back again and will make sure to ask for Cynthia! Classic diner feel, coffee was great, server was awesome and so was the food. Everything was ordered was cooked perfectly. Even left with a to go box, portions were great for the price.

First visit today and I can not praise this place enough. My husband had the apple pie stuffed casserole he loved daddy it.
I had the sausage gravy,eggs and home fries with onions delicious 😋
The owner came out and she introduced herself. And gave us a loaf of bread since it was our first visit and OMG delicious. I am making a big sub out of this.

We’ve been going to Steve’s since they opened many many years ago. It’s our go to place because their food is terrific and their service is always great. Today we had Claire. What a delight she was. Very attentive but not overboard. She brought everything we needed for our meals ahead of time and we didn’t have to ask for a single thing. Thank you for another great meal!

There Food is amazing. The waiters are nice. The cooks do A fantastic job of cooking food. I wish I could go back to that restaurant 1 day. Have a nice, wonderful day.

We really enjoy Steve's for family gatherings over breakfast and/or dinner. The BREAD is fantastic. The specials on the chalkboard as you walk in the door are usually REALLY something special for that day that even as a regular you would not want to miss.

The servers are friendly and efficient with solid suggestions because they have been there for years!...which speaks to the quality of the ownership and management.

Steve's is a solid choice...you won't be sorry.

Edit - My buddy Tom and I met at Steve's Famous DINER for breakfast this morning...

It had been a while since our last visit...but the food was just as great as we remembered...and the service from Claire (Claire Bear) was exceptional.

She bonded with my friend Tom over childhood stories of raccoons. More importantly she recommended a perfectly combined Big Boy special with all three meats (ham, bacon and sausage) and had the eggs prepared as an omlette with fresh Tomatos and Cheddar! Yum.

This place ROCKS and leaves you feeling like you had Saturday morning breakfast at Grandma's house.

If you are a local, you know. If you're a visitor, don't miss this place. Either way, you'll be back.

My husband and I frequent Steve’s in South Daytona. They have excellent food at affordable prices and the service is always top notch! This morning Clare took care of our every dining need. She is so friendly, caring and observant. I wasn’t feeling my best and conveyed this to her and she recommended a fantastic clear broth soup with some ham and white beans. Very tasty, thank you Clare!

Excellent food and service. Our waitress Joanne B took the best care when I expressed I had a seafood/shellfish allergy. She made sure the foods I ordered were safe and my food was not cross contaminated. Steve's always provides more food than I can ever eat between the starter of the bread and soup and the huge portions. Would recommend for any meal when you want local friendly service with great homemade food!

This is a great place to eat for breakfast lunch and dinner. Our waitress today was Clare and she was incredibly kind and sweet. The food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. You even get a complimentary soup with lunch and dinner.

It is unbelievable that we waited so long to try this diner. We will certainly be back. From the great food to the even better service from our server Claire. She made you feel right at home with her awesome hospitality. Food was incredible and on point. Also, the coffee was unbeatable from some other places we have been recently. When we expressed our gratitude and let her know it was our first time there, she gifted us with a loaf of their wonderful freshly baked bread to go. Can’t wait to try lunch and dinner as well. Great find, even better value.

Nichole was amazing and friendly! Food was on point. They even sent us home with a loaf of their fresh bread 🍞 as this was our first time. We will definitely be back. I like to support local places any time I travel. Cross lanes West Virginia is where we call home. Definitely give them a try if you're looking for good food and friendly staff.

Ruth Ann is the best server that I have had to wait on me for quite some time. I eat at restaurants very often and it’s hard to find good service. Someone who is attentive and kind as well. My order was perfect. My food was great. The service was extraordinary thank you, Ruth and I am looking forward to seeing you on my return to Steve’s Diner.

I moved to the area over 20 years ago, and I must say, everything I have ever ordered is absolutely delicious. I am from NY and there food is up there with the best! The atmosphere and employees are wonderful! I always ensure that I bring my friends and family when they visit. They all love it! Our waitress today, Claire Bear was absolutely the best! Very friendly and attentive. We just loved her!!! Thank you for being a great restaurant to enjoy!!!

Always enjoy our lunch at Steve’s. We are loyal long time customers. The food is delicious with generous portions. Claire was our waitress on 02/03 and was most attentive with beautiful smile and made our experience memorable !!!!
