As a 24-year real estate professional, I have referred landlords and tenants to Jann Rotstein for over 15 years. She is a true property management professional. Crosses T's and dots I's. She protects her landlord's properties and will be more than fair to tenants when they follow the rules and do the right thing. It is unfortunate that she has some derogatory Google reviews as these are not deserved. Unfortunately, people generally will write reviews when they have had a perceived BAD experience and those who have POSITIVE experiences rarely take the time to write a POSITIVE. There are three sides to every story. Believe me, I would never refer friends and customers to Jann if these negative reviews she has received were true. There is a high probability that these are people who did not follow the guidelines. 99 percent of her customers have been more than happy with her services and many of her tenants and landlords and referring Realtors and those who refer her, in general, have become her friends and allies. As many customers as Jann has served in her years of property management having so few negative reviews is a testament to her excellent property management skills.

Amazing property manager, professional, honest. Handles the details and makes certain everything is done correctly. So grateful to have her handling my properties.

Jann is an amazing. She's been a property manager as well as a realtor for us and both experiences have been fantastic.

Jann was helpful professional and prompt with service and finding a great rental...I would highly recommend her....I dont agree with any of these other folks...

Jann Is VERY EXTREMELY HORRIBLE RUDE LADY!!! I filled out a application for a house rental and kept contacting her for over 2 weeks about the status and she was very NASTY with me and short and I just got my application back and rather not even rent a property due to her disrespectful attitude. FELT VERY UNCOMFORTABLE!

We would have written an honest review of our year working closely with Daytona Realty Inc, but there was a non-disparagement clause in the lease agreement we signed, so unfortunately we cannot describe our stay, sorry.

We had a great experience with Jann moving into a rental she manages. She was communicative and professional. 2 days after moving in the water heater went out at 7 pm at night. Jann came out very next morning and had plumber replace. Definitely would recommend Jann and this business!
**UPDATE*** RENTER BEWARE!! The rest of the tenancy was awful and completely unprofessional. When we contacted Jann for other problems, she immediately tried to blame US for the problems without even coming to inspect. We made multiple fixes to this rental at our own time and expense while we lived there and our new home was being built. When we moved out I even hired a professional cleaning company to clean top to bottom even though I am super neurotic about keeping my home. Jann still sent me notice trying to charge me $550 for cleaning, missing bulbs and dirty AC filter, ALL COMPLETE LIES! I am waiting her response to my objection. I have proof. I am ready to file a grievance with the Board of Realtors against her and her Mother's license who owns the Agency, as apparently this their typical modis operandi in how they treat decent tenants! Complete unethical behavior.
**UPDATE #2** After our objection that included receipts for everything we did to the house, they returned the remainder of our deposit.

Read the other reviews...they don't lie! Jann will make promises that are never delivered upon. Kiss you deposit goodbye. Left our place super clean and was still charged $560 for cleaning. $270 for yard clean up...a yard that only got better with my care. Not to mention the other nickel and diming of our $2250 deposit down to get just $750 returned. Get this... even charged us $150 to just process our deposit return. She will use your deposit to finance repairs that should be at her expense. Stay away... please listen!

Most horrible experience I have ever had with a rental in my life (the several other reviews similar to this are NOT a coincidence, they are people who’s lives she made a lasting, negative impact on due to her actions. Based on my own experience, her unethical business practices have nothing to do with people not following guidelines. Unlike her family, I take legal contracts very seriously. I wish it wasn’t realty but it very much was for myself, my husband and our 1 year old). Jann will make your life miserable. She refused to let us do a walk though to annotate any existing damage to the property and there were several...hence beware of your deposit. It doesn’t matter if you are clean, pay your rent early every month or are the perfect tenant. She is only interested in what is best for herself. Too many incidences to list. Also, good luck with getting anything fixed. We asked several times to have things fixed, a plumbing issue that was causing leaking for example, and she never addressed the issue. For a landloard/property owner, I would also find how she “manages” properties unacceptable. I am now a howeowner but never had a negative experience with any other landlord prior to or after Jann in my life. Very unethical.

Jann is so UNPROFESSIONAL. The worst experience I've ever had with a landlord. She tried to nickel and dime us from day one until the end. She would curse at us and curse about other people to us. She gave us ONE day notice about having the carpets professionally cleaned before moving out. The carpets were perfect and it wasn't in the contract. Our house looked better after moving out than before we moved in. She is the true definition of a SLUMLORD. She is such a liar and will hang up on you when you catch her. BEWARE!!!!

I Lived at the property for 6 years in watersedge. At first I thought they were a little excessive with their fees. Felt I was treated unfairly for many reasons. 1st. Of all I was an exceptionally clean tenant. I had two dogs at the time, and 2 growing boys. It took over a year on one lease to get the stove repaired. The garbage disposal leaked the entire time,the sliding doors were broken, The pool flooded along with the back yard every time it rained harder than a sprinkle. Not their problem. I finally put a drain in to help ease some of these problems. Could not get refunded for anything. My last year I get an email 2 1\2 months before my lease is up telling me I have 2 weeks to sign a new lease or vacate the property. I go crazy looking for a new place, I find one, I call Jan just to find out if I moved I would lose my deposit and owe an additional months rent? Really I just got a 2 week notice I say. She says oh! I never read the email she sent me. Was pretty upset that I spent 8 straight days looking for a place, time and gas, and put a deposit down on another place. Did she care about the stress she put me under? I spent the next year cleaning the pool every few days. Which sucks and became very expensive. I have pictures and videos of everything. Ankle deep stepping out from the back door. When I left the place I spent 3 days going top to bottom, cleaning everything! Fans, lights, washed walls, even vacuumed out the vents in the ceiling. Who does all that right? Just to be charged excessive cleaning fees. $252. They even made a mistake on their math then sent me a letter stating it was for chemical rebalancing of pool. Ha! We vacuumed the pool the day we left and added all necessary chemicals! Did it rain after I left? Yes a lot. But after I moved apparently that was still my problem. I thought about going to small claims court but seriously just don't want to waste any more energy or time. They will nickel and dime you. Take whatever they can out of your deposit. Read the whole document before signing. I did everything on my part as a good tenant. Still got charged $432 for b.s stuff. I hope this helps, I don't think anyone should be treated this way. Renters beware. Unless your a clean freak like me you might just end up losing your whole deposit. I would not rent from them again nor recommend them either..

Jann just lost a house rental for a Waters Edge property in Port Orange because of her crappy attitude and unprofessional nature towards us, her potential clients.
In the short time we dealt with her, she was difficult to reach and was condescending when we had questions.
As a sign of things to come, when we met her at the rental house, she was on a personal cell call as she walked by us to open the door.
Every question we had for her was a hassle or inconvenience to answer.
Never had a realtor like her before, hope to never deal with someone like her again.
Run away from her and her listings, not worth it.

I was reffered to a woman named Janz, we spoke for awhile about a few houses, she asked me to go drive by and check them out and let her know if i liked any.
So the next morning my family and I got up, early and looked at the places, i liked 2 of them that were on the same street. So i texted her to let her know as she asked. It was 8am.
Never responded so as we were looking for other plaves we decided to go back and see them and tried to call her. She was rude on the phone and said she would call us back. So we drove around to look at the other one again and on our way back we saw the lady parked at the first house we were looking at. So we assumed she was going to show it to us. We got out, got the kids out and she turned her back to talking to another lady and we waited. Finally she turned around, and yet AGAIN was rude and annoyed, and said she would call us later to maybe set up an apt. I told her don't bother. Maybe you should hire more personable realitors. She's lucky my children were with me or she would gotten an ear fill for the way she spoke to us. We will never rent from any daytona reality homes. EVER.

I don't think there is much that I need to say. The other reviews pretty much sum up this business, with the exception of this J Schack character. He must have been clearly blindsided by Jann Rotsteins inappropriate apparel choices. This business is extremely lacking when it comes to professionalism.

My wife wrote one of the previous reviews (M. Swain) and I felt it was necessary that I reaffirm her review and the other negative reviews as well. They are spot on in assessing Ms. Rotsteins character and sour business practices. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this lady and her business.

The most unprofessional person I have ever been in contact with. Read the other one star reviews and you will understand why. DO NOT RENT FROM JANN.
