A pretty place for a small getaway. The place Is so calm and peaceful. You can come this place for birthday parties at a very nominal cost. Their day use shelters has benches, play area next to it and right next to the river. There are few walking trails around which are very scenic and pretty. There is plenty of parking available. They also have a disk gold nearby

Love this park. Easy trail that is rewarding once you reach the top. This trail does connect to Pine Mountain trail as well. The park boasts picnic structures, the historic furnace, clearly defined trails, stairs down to the water (where I've seen otters), and an interpretative nature center at the top of the trail which can be driven to...somehow...but I've never taken the time to figure that out. Walk more; drive less.

Has always been a nice park with lots of history. If you don't want to hike up for the beautiful views there is horse shoe stakes set up, volleyball net, play ground equipment for kids and nice park area. Take a lunch and plan for a nice day.

Great hiking trails, water views, wildlife, camping, picnics, and history all in one park. Fun alone or in a group. Recommended.

I've been going to Coopers furnace since I was a kid. I absolutely love this place. It's usually nice and quiet here. I enjoy just coming out here and sitting here and listening to the river generating. Reading about the historical history that is here.

Great scenic ride to this area. Cooper's furnace is a historical point of interest. You also get a view of the Allatoona Dam from the bottom as well if you park further back. You can look up water release schedules to see the water release.

Another amazing hiking trail, clean and inviting. Seen dear, and the area near the furnace was home of so many birds they have sectioned off for “pollinators”.

This is a very cool park with lots of interesting history. This was once the site of the Etowah Iron Works which was a thriving spot during the mid 19th century. Although the only thing left is the stone furnace, the rest of the park has lots to offer. You can also check out the Etowah River, Allatoona Dam, and Pine Mountain which all interconnect with this park.

Quiet, out of the way park. Very clean park bathrooms for being older construction, very well kept up.:)

Need to go back with more time. It looks like someone recently started a fire just for fun.

Great park! The furnace is interesting, but the view from the dam is really the must see. It's a pretty steep hike from the furnace to the dam. Restrooms have been clean the times I've used them

This is a great out of the way park. My daughter and I have hike there. It starts off kind of easy but it gets very thin and uphill. It was a fun trail. Maybe a mile and a half. Lots of trees lots of shade.
