Great trail around the lake, overflow parking is down below and we didn't have issues finding a spot on a warm weekend in February. Temps were in the upper 60s so a great time to get outdoors!

A really nice shaded trail. It's one big loop. With bench seats along the trail. It was perfect for my ebike lots of space. Bring your swim trunks if you like you can jump in the lake in some areas. Loved it!

Easy 3.5 mile well marked hike, most of it along the lake. There are lots of maps along the way and benches dispersed to take a break if you need to. Lots of shade throughout which is great for GA summers. Dog & bike friendly. There’s a $5 parking fee at the entrance. There are many spots with lake access if you want to go swimming.

Beautiful hike. Long enough to get in a good exercise, not too long for those of us that need it

Nice easy trail for hiking and biking. Little ones love exploring while on the trail...turtles, frogs, moss and all the wonders of nature. Take a small bucket so they can gather mementos and designate them “trail guides”...they will have a great time spotting the trail markers and showing you the way. And don’t miss the chance to skip stones into the lake.

The parking lot is okay, neither good nor bad. The iron Hill trail is excellent. almost constant water views, lots of beautiful green vegetation. The state does need to do some erosion control to open up and connecting path between the parking lot and trail. I've walked to several times and always enjoy it. some restrooms would be a big improvement.

One of my favorite places to hike. It’s very beautiful and I love that it’s a long walk along the lake but isn’t too challenging or strenuous. Good for walking or biking.

Easy trail. Love the different trails this mountain has to offer. Always beautiful views from the lake. You might see deer. Have your camera ready to snap beautiful pictures.

Fantastic 3.5 mile loop for hiking or biking. This is not an aggressive mountain bike trail so much as a packed gravel, dirt, and leaves trail you can bike on. There are lots of people walking their dogs on the trail and frequent views of the lack. Parking is $5 and limited to about 30-40 cars. Make sure you look up directions to the trail head on google maps because it is not through the main park entry.

Great hidden gem. One wheel, Eboards, EUC’s, and Ebike friendly. I good 45 min to hour run depending on riding experience.

This is my favorite place to hike locally. You can take bikes, pets on a leash, or hike by foot. The trail is about 3.5 miles long and most of it is on a peninsula with water boarding on one side and hills, rocks, or trees on the other side. There are maps throughout the trail to guide you, as well as benches and picnic tables scattered throughout. Absolutely beautiful place to hike. Most of the trail is pretty flat, so I would consider it an easy trail. I've taken my 74 year old mother and my 9 year old nephew on this trail.

Very beautiful scenery with options to take a bike or go on a boat. Very friendly environment and the hike was a medium level of difficulty. Will definitely be back and don’t forget to take snacks bc it can be a long hike.
