What once was not such a great place to enjoy God's beauty is now a very clean park. The city has and continues to work on a rebuilding of the park. Keeping safe for all: The police have done a fantastic job keeping most unsavory characters out of the park. Only on occasion now do a few of these characters frequent by way of scooter or by foot. The police are aware and do patrol the area, which is quit a bit;inasmuch, as docking a police boat or two at the marina nearby and frequent drive-through checks. Including driving in the area of Ballough Road and Root Street on a frequent basis (night and day).

Subsequently, things have certainly improved at the park and surrounding areas over the past few years. Without a doubt, the future is brighter with the remodel of the park and strong police presence. 🚔

Do your part and call the police if you witness activities of the type that would warrant police presence. We are the EYES and EARs. If you see something, say something.

Lastly, it's enevatible that good over evil will always prevail! Give time, time.

I've caught a bunch of fish there using many different kinds of bait and throwing multiple types of lures.

To those that complain about homeless, drug dealers and hookers, the police are a phone call away. Don't complain about it if you aren't going to do something about it.

Nice little place to go just to enjoy the river scene and have a nice little picnic with your wife or family
