la Madeleine

Mom and I visited after a lovely hike at the Robinson Nature Center. We were looking for a place to grab a light early dinner and coffee, and lucked out when we found la Madeleine. While the buffet style trays confused us a bit, the staff was extremely helpful in taking our order and getting our food to us. On top of that, everything was delicious! We had the French onion soup, the quiche Florentine, the creamy pesto pasta, and the spring salad, and every dish we tasted paused the conversation to share how good it was! Plus, their coffee was rich and smooth (mom had french roast and I had a latte) and while I haven't tried their bakery yet, I'm excited to come back and try everything! The tarts look especially good!!
The price for portion is excellent, and the staff is absolutely lovely, can't say that enough. The space inside is cozy, and the stone patio was perfect for late summer coffee drinking. We will be back!

This place is a hidden gem! Tucked away near some trees, I'd passed by this place for years without ever going in. I've been missing out! The food was fantastic. We had the French Country breakfast, quiche, and Croque Madame, plus their delicious desserts (mini tarts and a lemon Madeleine). The staff was friendly and service was fast. Possibly best of all was the ambiance. It felt like a cozy coffee shop, without much hustle or bustle. Soft, quiet music. They even have a fireplace, which felt wonderful on the cold, rainy day that we visited on. Highly recommend!

My friends and I went on a class field trip today! And it was really a good experience and delicious food. J’aime le crepe!!!! The service was great we talked to one of the managers in French he was very nice.

This place takes you to the rustic places of Europe, Stone walls, fireplace, I definitely love this place, sometimes the service fails, The staff is friendly but on 2 occasions I was served by people who were a bit rude, in relation to what they sell; I really like to buy at Le Madeline the croissants, the almond one is so good so far, my little one love it the plain, the caffe is subtle with a super nice flavor, of the desserts I've tried, the creme brulee has the first place, the fruit tart are also delicious.

It is ideal to eat with the family, or to talk with your friends over coffee or just work, the atmosphere is super nice.

Everything is great about this place, except for the price. Expensive for a breakfast option, but it compensates for the wonderful environment they have inside.

Hidden French gem of Columbia!

The breakfast here is to die for, their fresh pastries greet you at the door, with the espresso machine wurring away.

The staff welcomes you and is so helpful. Food is prepared quickly and doesn't keep you waiting. Don't worry tho, the quality is there!

The ambiance of this place is perfectly cozy and homley for a cup of coffee.

The Dark Cherry & Greek Yogurt Danish and the restaurant were excellent. The service staff was extremely professional and friendly. In conclusion, I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We tried a la Madeline in Texas and liked it so much that we had to try it while on a road trip to Virginia. We all got the chicken ceaser sandwich and it tasted really good! The interior and exterior seating was very nice and the vibe of the place is cool. We also got sweets and can I just say that the Nutella croissant cupcake is amazing! Totally recommend this place!!

Remodel changed ambiance to be lighter but it took a bit from the cozy feeling of the place.

Cozy place, tasty foods and awesome location to grab breakfast or lunch. They got outside and indoor dining. You could also order from their app ahead of time. This restaurant never disappoints. Overall, I would recommend la Madeleine!

This place is fantastic! I have seldom had a better breakfast. My wife had a salad which was fresh and perfect. We ate on the patio which was very nice. I cannot recommend this place enough for families, couples, or just anyone who wants utterly delicious food!

Our first time here because of a recommendation. Wow! We loved it. The pastries and the coffee were really good and the service was exceptional. Highly recommend it.

I was a bit confused on how ordering worked at first but once I figured that out I was treated to one of the best breakfasts I have had in quite some time. Everything was absolutely delicious and tasted fresh and homemade. We sat and ate our food next to the fireplace. This place is on the slightly more expensive side of breakfast options but in my opinion was worth every penny. I'd come here again any day over an IHOP or Dennys. Definitely recommended.

Best Ceaser sandwich, my all time favorite with coffee.

I've always enjoyed the food here and love sitting outside in the back when it's warm, or inside by the fireplace when it's not warm.

The friendliest person in the restaurant is the guy who brings the trays back and cleans up. I love his positive attitude and enthusiastic greetings in French.

He seems so happy and ethical about doing his job that I sometimes suspect that he is secretly the owner, keeping tabs on things in a subtle way.

I was driving back to New Jerse. Thinking I wanted something with me back for my friends at work and La madeleine almond croissant. I was searching for the place on the way back! So this place is pop up on the map. It is not that hard to find the place I left the I 95 North and about 10+ minutes I reached there. I found the place really warm and nice arrangement.( Like other branches; nice and clean)
There are tables place out side for you to sit and have a chat, also enjoy the nice summer breeze. I am sure you will have a great time here.

Over the last five or six months, La Madeleine has become my favorite place to meet up with friends in Columbia. First of all, and perhaps most importantly: the drip coffee is worthy of being craved; I'm always happy to go there and sit with a friend and a bottomless cup! Then of course there's the beautiful patio with plenty of seating and greenery. The pastries are genuinely delicious, and I love the quiche and the avocado toast! It's the perfect place to me: you don't have to wait long to get your food and coffee, there are plenty of places to sit, and the employees and atmosphere are kind and cozy. Thankful we have this place in the neighborhood. P.S.: you can buy their coffee beans!! What do you put in your coffee, La Madeleine?! Magic??

I like their ambience, so cozy and comfortable. They have a variety of desserts but my favorite one is Sacher Torte cake*SCRUMPTIOUS*.

I had that Parisian Eggs and my wife had the French Toast croissant. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and clean. The staff is polite and friendly. Food is reasonably priced. Would highly recommend and definitely come again.

An absolutely lovely little french bistro, very friendly staff and delicious french cuisine. Side perks: handicap accessibility, outdoor seating and a few GF options. Has a bakery on site and they sell their signature tomato basil soup in jars.
