Beltsville Branch Library, PGCMLS

I’ve been visiting this library for over 30 years and now I get to share the joy of peace and quiet with my own children.

Of course the library has been updated. There’s plenty of technology available for use. The selection of books is smaller but lends to an open space that lends you focus when reading and doing work.

There are collaboration spaces too!

Most importantly, the staff is friendly and approachable. I can’t wait for the snack area to open for those who may need to eat such as small children and diabetics. I’d also like to see charging stations as we all forget our chargers once in awhile.

The inside is much better than the outside appearance. Clean and spacious facility. Designated areas for cafe, private study (2 hour limit if another patron needs it), conference room, and play area. Plenty of programs to engage the local community. Materials are well organized, and staff seems friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Compared to other latest state of the art libraries, this would be a 3 or 4 star, but standing on its own, it's definitely top notch.

I've been coming since last year and I love it. It is very quiet, I can do my work in peace without any loud noises. If I need help with printing, learning about a new term or word, faxing or even a resume. The staff will help you. Just ask. The Librarians will go to combat with you on any project. I've just asked for the Internet access at the help desk since I'm visiting from Fairfax County, VA. Two people at the help desk were so prompt to help me to access the Internet. That's what I called, "Help Desk Service" from the public library - very professional & courteous. I appreciate the both!

Great library with wonderful children's area.

I love it! The staff is very friendly… All the sections are very tidy… There is not a lot of accumulation of people and I love that…. It is very quiet and comfortable…

Our Beltsville Branch Library is a wealth of resources for all ages. There’s even a chess club for youngsters. Every member of the staff is top-notch with top rated library science education; ever eager and willing to assist. Prince George’s County must be very proud of this location, and the Executive Team commended for their commitment to excellence. Peaceful location. Good customer service. Staff are very helpful. Good collection. Variety of books,CD, movies available. Lot of computers available, speed is acceptable. Some of the computers were little slow and freezing while browsing. 1 hour is the browsing time limit. Movie DVDs have a return period of 1 week and it can be extended online or using app.

The library is very nice clean and spacious. The employees are very nice and helpful there is always a open computer if needed. There's loud kids there playing video games on the computers but if you asked them to quite down they will for about 15 minutes other then that great library.

I've loved this place since I was a kid. Made the mistake of taking my toddler in the stroller on the long walk to the library only to find out they're not open right now, you must go online and reserve books and then there's a drive up service to pick up and drop off. This was online already, it's my fault for not checking first. Woman working was very sweet and explained it to me, she also gave me a large bookmark sized paper detailing how to properly get books on the future.

I hope it is able to open up soon, but that depends on all of us wearing our masks and those of us able to get vaccines need to actually get them! The library is a vital resource for many, especially those applying for jobs and those doing homework and research without internet service of their own. It is up to all of us to do our part to ensure vital institutions such as this are able to reopen and continue to help all those who come.

Great place to study at since everything is so clean and quiet. Ever since the renovation, the library gave a nice modern, trendy vibe to read and study. There are computers, a fax machine, printer and nice intellectual staff. The only down side is that they don't have cash to give change for when you want something from the vending machines. Other than that, great place!

Love this library! Always clean & quite!!!!! Lots of computers always available to do your work!!! Also, I feel safe because it's connected to a police station! That's a bonus! 👍🏾 Best library 📚 I've been to in PG County!!!! 👍🏾

We love our library!!! The librarians are great. Ms.Karen's story hour is like having Mr.Rogers in your neighborhood! Very family friendly atmosphere.

Staff is friendly,knowledgeable,and very helpful. I like that everything on one level and current books on display not far from entrance. I love going to Beltsville Library, hopefully parking lot will be revamped to add more spaces.

This library is Amazing! quiet, beautiful, the temperature inside is just perfect. Staff is always ready to help me. 5 starts! I will definitely come back. Wayyyyy better than UMD library.

The library is big, many computers, quiet, clean and nice staff. Also, there's many services beside printing. Love it there!

Excellent collection of books for all ages. I took my kids to Beltsville library as our own library was closed for few weeks due to some construction work.

My kids love coming here always clean and fun.
