Wheaton Library

This is an amazing facility. Regularly use study rooms in library for math tutoring. The free underground parking has car chargers and elevator access. Has a nice cafe, weight room, basketball court, game room (with ping pong, billiards and arcade games) running track and other community/function rooms. Also has a world class used book store. Easily one of the nicest public facilities of its kind that I have ever been to.

Stopped by today to get my library card and had a quick, friendly, and efficient experience! This building is absolutely gorgeous and a testament to what a large community center should be. It's large, clean, and has a TON of resources accessible to the community. These are the kinds of spaces - and people - our government and communities should be investing in for everyone to enjoy!

I’ve been coming here frequently to catch up on work and tasks. The best parts of this lib are the:
1. Quiet rooms with individual desks/dividers,
2. Cafe, and
3. Clean and spacious bathrooms

First time back after at least 5-7 years. I was wowed. It's brand new and spacious.
Things I love:
1. Parking - it has its own garage below
2. A cafe within the library
3. The spacious layout and conference rooms.

“Don’t call it a come back” it took a few years. The library came back with such pizzazz! It’s great! The Library is ginormous on the inside and looks like an Amazon distribution center on the outside. It seems like the idea was to bring together a community center and a library. They did a good job. It’s a place for kids to go whether they like books or basketball. Moms and dads can bring young kids for story time and out door play. It’s a great space to get some quiet study time. This space screams access for all.

Is there anything this library & community center doesn't have?! Just an average Wednesday night and the place was filled with families at the playground, kids playing ping pong & pool inside, a yoga class, early voting and a community meeting- all at the same time!

Five stars for the location and the cleanliness. If only it were as big as the Rockville Library. If you need a break from the books, the attached recreation center is free to use for county residents. Free ping pong, table pool, indoor track, and basketball courts!

Absolutely stunning library with a ridiculously large selection and tons of activities for the entire family to do...

It's been over a decade since I last been to MD library, but, I am amazed with the complete renovation of the library as it is long overdue. It's very spacious, tons of commodities for every age group from a small gym, indoor basketball court and running track, meeting rooms, quiet areas, a coffee shop, etc.

I can see myself spending tons of hours here if I lived closer.

Awesome place to study and do research. You can use their computers to get work done or build a resume.

The library is nice and the fitness and study area are nice, but add more stuff to the game area, a switch and ps5 would be nice to add to the game area.

So pretty library. More books available to check out. I love the library so much!

It's super nice quite clean & my new favorite place 2 b durin da day while on my laptop fillin out applications & sending out resumes. It's still my spot!

Beautiful ❤❤❤❤ library and recreation center. We came for the grand opening. I like the lounge with the refrigerator for eating and drinking snacks or meals.

What a great library! I’m so excited to have it so close to our new home. It has a great children’s selection which is number one in my book.

We were able to get Set up with a library card in no time. I just asked of the front desk and minutes later the card was in my hand. My son was very happy to find Lego books, Berenstein books, curious George books, Star Wars books and many others! Also, there’s an indoor play area for the younger ones which is great to have!

Just outside is a terrific playground! It’s mostly fenced in which is helpful. There are no swings, but there is plenty to climb and spin around on and slide down!

First time here and thought it was stunning~

The library itself is beautiful and a lot of commity activities to do. There tons of space to sit and study and focus on whatever you need to. The book choices are good and many computers to use as well. You can spend whole day easily researching or studying.

The cafe staff is wonderful and do their job well, the pastry and latte was tasty and actually good. The prices are fair and I don't mind paying to support the library fund.

Surprisingly, there are wild rabbits running around in front. I hope the gardeners are careful not to hurt them while trimming the lawn area. The two bunnies I saw were super cute, please remember to leave them alone! There is no reason to try to touch them, but only look and enjoy, too beautiful!
