The White Oak Tavern

We drove almost an hour last night to eat at The White Oak Tavern and I am still thinking about it today. It was definitely worth it!! I ordered the Tavern Club and an espresso martini for dessert. Both were delicious!! The band playing, Mama's Black Sheep, kept us there until 11:00!! Thanks for the great service, food, and entertainment!!

I had a great lunch with a friend at the tavern. Both of really enjoyed what we ordered and the service was friendly and efficient. We had lunch at an off hour so the restaurant was not busy. I brought home some soup and chili for my wife which she enjoyed. She thought the corn & zucchini chowder was a bit too spicy, but she still liked it. We plan on a trip together to the restaurant next week.

Pleasantly surprised. The drinks were delish, the food was very yummy, the burger , burnt ends and general tso egg rolls( we ate them before we could get a pic) !!! OMG. Service was great, will definately go again ..

We visited for howard county restaurant week and will certainly be back! I got the peach salad, risotto, and bourbon bread pudding. Everything was delicious and I was so excited to see multiple vegetarian options on their menu. We went mid week and it seemed busy but we still had servers checking if we needed anything

Service was outstanding. We walked in with a group of 7 on a Saturday night without issue, though there was only outside seating at that point. It was nice on a mild summer night. The food that we tried was good. They also have a nice beer and cocktail selection.

Awesome interior, amazing and consistent service, and that’s not to mention the food. Best damn burger I’ve ever had in my life. Menu also lets you know what’s gluten free and vegan which is a nice quality of life feature. Highly recommend.

Visited The White Oak Tavern for the first time this past Friday and had a great experience!

Our server Matt was great. He was friendly, attentive and quick with service. We let him know it was our first time, and he shared his recommendations with us. For a starter, we had the Kung Pao Green Beans, and they were sooo good! The sauce with the spice of the pepper flakes and the crunch of the peanuts made the green beans so tasty. For our main courses, I ordered the Bacon Chutney Burger and my husband ordered the Turkey Pesto Pasta. The burger was probably one of the best burgers I have had in Howard County. Even cooked medium-well, it was still very juicy (not dry at all!) and full of flavor. My husband loved his pasta, he said the turkey meatballs were delicious.

We can see why this is a popular place, and will definitely be back again!

Last night, I was able to cut my work day short. So, I stopped here for some food.

It was burger night. But I didn't want a burger. I was seeking appetizers and finger style food.

First thing that caught my eye, without hesitation, I ordered the General Tso's Egg Rolls. As I continued to check the menu and the specials I ordered the Caramel Apple Pinwheels.

Both came out hot and ready to eat. I really liked the dipping sauce that came with the super stuffed eggs rolls. It had a perfect little sweet and sour spicy kick. And the pinwheels were soft and went well with the caramel sauce and whipped cream. They weren't super sweet either. They were just right.

The atmosphere was calm and welcoming. Tons of smiling faces. And it actually made me decide to cut my night early. I had full intentions of going back to work for a couple of hours.

I felt accomplished for once after a long journey of unnecessary mud slinging and lack of action and resolution the past 3+ years. I found this to be very interesting and odd. But I took it and went home to bed.

Good restaurant and bar, phenomenal service! This restaurant is also dog friendly on the outside patio. They even have a dog menu! The standard beer flight is awesome if you enjoy craft beers.

Shared a very nice family birthday dinner at The White Oak Tavern. Staff was very friendly and efficient. The cocktails and Mocktail we ordered were unique and delicious. The food was wonderful. Highly recommend this gem. It was our first time here and will gladly go back. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful evening.

Food was delicious. Service was fantastic. Our waiter was polite, patient and informative. Everyone finished their entire Mel. Will be back.

This restaurant is so good! We came with a group and everyone loved the food, atmosphere, and service. Everything is homemade and you can definitely tell that’s it’s super high quality and fresh. I can’t wait to return. This is a new go-to!

One of our absolute favorite places to eat!! The staff are all always incredibly friendly and give amazing service. I cannot say enough about the food. Everything I have had has been amazing, you can tell very good QUALITY meat/food for a very reasonable price in my opinion. Awesome beer/drink selection as well. We enjoyed the live music this past Sunday. It’s very chill and not too loud. We love it here.I love the whole menu, but probably my favorite breakfast/brunch around. I had the country Benedict this time.

My friend and I were googled for a restaurant that made Frosé ( frozen Rosé wine drinks), had outdoor eating and located in Howard County and we found The White Oak Tavern! What a great time it did not disappoint! Unbeknownst to me, It was Restaurant Week in Ellicott City, which was a bonus! I was able to get a 3 course meal for $35!! My friend had the Chipotle Chicken.. if you like spice and heat, that is definitely dish for you!

My first course was the Caprese, which was a combination of red tomatoes and fried green with mozzarella and a balsamic reduction......DELICIOUS! I plan to go back specifcally for that!

Next course was the main cost and I chose the Onion burger..... DELICIOUS! The burger was cooked just right and seasoned perfectly!

The dessert course was a gluten free blondie brownie with vanilla ice cream.. wasnt bad, but it was a little too sweet for my taste. Plus, I was already full from the previous 2 courses.

We also can't forget the Frose"s which were phenomenal! We had outdoor seating which was great! We were able to enjoy outdoor dining and even got some entertainment from the mariachi band from the restaurant next door! White Oak even had their own live entertainment indoors.

I also discovered they had a Doggie menu! White Oak Tavern accommodates pets for outdoor eating and provides selections for your dog to boot!

All in all, it was a great night, great atmosphere, and I will definitely be back again! May even consider bringing the pup!

GREAT EXPERIENCE! I forgot to take a photo for the review until the food was halfway done and the beer almost gone…that’s how good it is. We were served by Scott and he gave us just the right amount of time to decide on beers and then took our order. The food was incredible. Great quality beef on the hamburgers we ordered (the classic White Oak burger) and great flavor combinations. Sides were good and it was the right amount of food. Highly recommend a visit here if you’re in the area or on the way to BWI! Also it is in the same parking lot as an EV charging station, so very convenient to eat here while you charge your vehicle.

The burger at White Oak Tavern left a lasting impression with its perfect harmony of a soft, flavorful bun, succulent meat, crispy bacon, and the delightful touch of homemade ketchup. Each element contributed to a delicious and memorable dining experience.

Don't pass this place by, on account of it being a "tavern," as I almost did. Consistently excellent brunch and great beer selection makes me come back again and again. When the weather's nice, their outdoor seating is amongst the best in Ellicott City. Top-notch craft beer selection as well!

The burger and fries are delicious! The fries are cooked perfectly... Tastes great with malt vinegar! Excellent service and extremely accommodating. Want to return to try different locally fresh dishes!

This place has been on our list for awhile now and we finally decided to have brunch. And glad we did. The flank steak and eggs were awesome and the potato hash was also flavorful and nicely portioned. Not to mention bottomless mimosas and bloody marys. This will be a frequent stop of ours. Oh and our server Melissa was awesome, she was attentive ,funny and had great conversation

I finally got the family out to experience the awesomeness of this restaurant. I have been a few times by myself. We came for the Easter Bunny Brunch, the food was amazing, the staff was on point. They have a great beer selection and never disappoint.
