Lil G's Cajun Restaurant

The food was really good. Beautiful restaurant off the beaten path and hustle of downtown. The shrimp and grits were full of flavor. The grilled shrimp were cooked perfectly and good size too. The black beans and rice was a great combo with the grits. Even got the beignet bread pudding with dipping sauce was really good. Had a nice moist inner with a crispy coating. Definitely stopping back in next trip.

Tonight was 12oz Ribeye for $24. Smelled so good but was craving shrimp and grits.

Food was delicious. Not at all spicy for a Cajun restaurant.

The entrees were reasonably priced for the portion size.

Kylie was friendly, excellent and informative. She took the time to answer any question asked as well as offer sincere suggestions.

I had a create your own entree, containing a shrimp Po’boy (it was overloaded with shrimp) and catfish. The dish came with potato salad and I added a side of red beans and rice. The entire meal tasted great!

My wife had shrimp & grits and added one fried soft shell crab. The crab never had a chance. It was fresh tasty and was devoured within minutes.

We will definitely will return to sample the rest of the menu.

Great place! Sauteed crab claws on point! Poboy's excellent as well! Bartender was great, attentive, and most importantly, put up with my buddies!

Never would have found this place if it wasn't for my friend Dennis. Great atmosphere, very attentive service. I should have taken a photo of my meatloaf but it was the best I've ever had. Other than my mother's of course.

Everything was excellent. We spent a month in New Orleans and ate there twice and many times in years before. The pelican drink for two was amazing. Highly recommend that drink.

First time going to this place. Company Christmas party. Well it did not turn out good for me. They had open bar! Black eye, busted nose and dont know how i got home(good friends)I don't member leavin! The food they served was delicious! Probably the best chicken strips,tenders,nuggets or whatever they call them, I've had in a very long time. Tater salad was A+. Of course, the fried shrimp was top notch. I don't believe you could service bad shrimp in South Louisiana and get away with it. I plan a trip to this place to give a better review.

Rachel was my server and her personality made my experience worth it! Everything was tasty and didn't take long at all. It was delicious and I will be back!!

Delicious food, nice and attentive staff. I enjoyed the Thibodaux wich is a sort of crabcake. But what is delightful is the smores bread pudding!

Stopped by and got a roast beef po boy. Absolutely amazing!! Staff was super friendly and attentive. Nice gator themed restaurant.

LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!!! EVERYTHING we ate was DELICIOUS! Our server was on point... She kept our glasses full, checked up on us regularly, and cleared plates as we were done. The atmosphere was also great! I would feel comfortable going there in my everyday street clothes or dressed up for a nice evening out. I can't say enough positive things about this restaurant.

Excellent gumbo. Enjoyed the Crab Thibodaux and okra as well. Great service. I’ll be back again for sure.
