I’ve been here total of two times in my life and I love it. The standing room only while eating is so unique. The seafood here will never let you down. They have a plethora of items. I of course had the crabcake platter with a side of candied yams & Mac n cheese. My buddy had the same thing but his sides were fries and M&C. They have an oyster bar. The menu is expansive. The flounder was so hot and tender and gave me. I could’ve ate three more of them. The hot sauce complements your food so much. I tried their garlic bread. It was soft, buttery, flaky, and I liked it a lot. The service is quick and lovely. Small businesses for the win.

They aren't kidding when they say if you can only stop at one place for crabcakes while in Maryland try Faidley's.

The crabcakes are massive and to my surprise pretty much entirely crab meat. Not a bread patty with a hint of crab. The side portions are generous and definitely shareable for smaller appetites.

It is quick service cafeteria style. You run your foor tray along the railing, place your order, and leave your tray for them to set your food on. The system wasn't explained for first timers so I inadvertently walked off with the empty tray.

I didn't try the raw oyster bar but there were many patrons gathered enjoying themselves. You can also buy fresh seafood or order menu items in bulk to take home.

The macaroni and cheese was delicious and the steak fries were standard fair. The restaurant is small, seating is limited and fairly close quarters. The sloping of the floor may also make it difficult for patrons with mobility issues.

Overall really enjoyed it and highly recommend as a treat if you're in the area.

The best crab cakes in Baltimore. Excellent seafood selections. Shrimp salads, fried oysters, codfish cakes, and more. Still located in the old portion of Lexington Market, so be prepared for zero ambience.

We really enjoyed dining at Faidley's! The crab cake was delicious and you can see the oysters for yourself. The service was great and we are grateful.

I finally got to taste the best crab cakes and wow it did not disappoint! Love every bite! I tried both style of crab cakes, I love the jumbo lump better due to its thickness of crab meat. However, the backfin crab was seasoned really well and has a kick to it. Either one is good and worth a try.

All I can say is that their crab cakes are a MUST TRY. Absolutely delicious 🤤 The first bite was phenomenal. I will never eat crab cakes anywhere else. We got meet Nancy Faidley-the best crab cake maker in the world-and her daughter Damye. Lovely and truly awesome people. Their story is the best!

This is my absolute favorite crabcake!!! Hadn't had one in 30 years and it tasted just as I remembered. I will not wait that long to go back!

Best crab cakes ever!!!

That is a very bold statement, but I have never tasted anything quite like Faidley’s crab cakes. The crab cakes alone makes me drive hours from NY to Maryland. Once you savor one of these crab cakes, any crab cakes you will eat can never compare. I guarantee you that. The sides are also phenomenal and a good compliment to the crab cakes. The set meal makes it a celebration when you visit Faidley’s.

But Faidley’s is not just about their crab cakes, they also have a vast array of seafood like fish, oysters and whole crabs. It is an experience worth going to Baltimore for.

A hole in the wall dive for sure. It was questionable walking to it from Inner Harbor, but no issues. Food was fantastic. Standing tables only. The lady hand making the crabcakes was 3rd generation and doing it 50+ years. Her daughter was running the register. It was a must see for me and I'd go back if I ever get back to Baltimore. Crabcake and 2 sides were about $32. Totally worth it.

Came here due to a friend’s suggestion and the food did not disappoint, well except the lobster bisque. BUT the lump crab cake, the soft shell crab, and the butterfly shrimp were all good. I have not had soft shell crab such as this in a long time and it was tasty. Wifey loved the crab cake. Lil man got the butterfly shrimp but he was more interested in my soft shell crab lol. Unfortunately, the bisque was okay. There was no lobster meat in it. Surprisingly the potato salad was a hit as well!!

Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Baltimore. Plus there is garage parking right next door.

I was in Baltimore for a volleyball tourney and friends planned to do lunch Saturday at Faidly’s. I ordered the crab soup and flounder a la Carte. It took maybe 8 or so minutes and was piping hot. It came with 2 slices of bread. I ate the soup first because the fish was so hot to hold. We beat the lunch crowd and got there by 11:30. It was all great and would definitely recommend.

If you find yourself on business in this area… go to Faidleys! Pick out your own fresh seafood, they steam or fry for you. Highly recommend the red snapper (fried) with coleslaw, steam shrimp with all of the seasonings and add their famous crab cake to whatever you order. 10 out of 10.

Delicious!!! Pretty pricey given the amount of food, but the crab lump was delicious. Fun vibes.

Have to stand while you eat, but it's such an exciting place one hardly minds! But good to keep in mind for accessibility.

The most awesome crab cake EVER!! We also had a sampler platter which was incredible as well. Easy walk from the Lexington Market Light rail stop. We were complete newbies and everyone was so helpful suggesting what to have, service was quick, and did I mention the food was incredible! Do not miss this when in Baltimore!!

I've been to the original market 3 years ago and the new market they opened at Lexington Market. Faidley's Seafood is in the original market and its still the best seafood stand in all of Baltimore. Not too far from the Edgar Allen Poe House and Museum. They Lump Crab Cakes are delicious.

Got a jumbo lump crabcake and had oyster and beet with my Love. Impromptu lunch date was great. Even talked to the owner/daughter of lady pictured on the wall.

This stand is part of the big food hall, and is located to the left of the entrance. The stall on the right is much busier but it served mostly fried seafood. The steam pot platter I got here had two crabs, 1/2 lb of Texas shrimp, and a dozen clams. I upgraded the two crabs to the extra large size which was definitely worth it. I also added a half dozen oysters. The oysters were very mild but big and meaty. This shop recycles the empty shells and put them back in the bay, which I think is really cool.
