Bec's at the Lake Restaurant and Catering

We could see Lake Pontchartrain from where we were sitting! Great service and Very nice server when we went! If you're ever in this neck of the woods, try their Po' Boy sandwiches and sweet potato fries which was EVERYTHING! OH YEAH..best sweet iced tea to boot! Will be going again for sure!

The location is great, with wonderful views over the lake. You can eat in the main inside dining room, or on the balcony. The servers were all very chilled and friendly. We only called by for an appetizer, but the Asian Almond Shrimp we shared was really excellent. The menu is simple American fayre, with a south Louisiana seafood twist. We'll definitely be back when we have more time.

Omg...there is not of enough I can say about this place. The food was DELICIOUS AND the atmosphere was WONDERFUL....but the topper was..I accidentally threw my phone in the trash and the owner personally brought my phone to me. We are in New Orleans at the French Quarters

This place look like cajun camp transformed in a quantina..Nothing fancy . Don't look at the deco just come on in to meet the friendly staff who will make you feel welcome. The food is a mazing i recommende the steak and the shrimp. Can wait to go back..

Googled for best bread pudding near me and found Bec's at the Lake. Loved the Bread Pudding and Bec's. The location and view ain't bad either.

Not a bad thing to say. This place is a local favorite and always has food that will make you wanna slap ya mama! Prices are a little high, but the quality supersedes the price. Staff is always friendly and there to make your visit one to remember.

Had the Stuffed fish Maurepas.. very good ! Was the only person there so got the royal treatment getting to talk with everyone there.. LOVED IT ! THANK YA'LL !

The lobster and shrimp bisque is delicious, place is great, probably in the top 5 places to eat in Laplace.

Went tonight with 3 other people. Kaitlyn was our waitress and she was amazing! The spinach dip was the best! My burger was great! We came from St.Bernard and the drive was well worth it! George and Denise you have a great place and amazing waitresses. Thanks Kaitlyn!

The owner actually invited my girlfriend & I to come try out his restaurant. This place is amazing I must admit! Excellent service, wonderful food, and to myself seemed like a great place to eat out with friends or family. You can get a bucket of beer for 10$ & 18 wings for 15$. Bec's at the Lake is a must see if you're in the area. I live an hour away but plan to return in the next upcoming weeks. Thank you for introducing me to this experience.

The food is fabulous. I had a steak that melted in my mouth. If bread pudding is available when your there, be sure to leave room for it. Best I've ever had. The place is clean and friendly. Definitely a must visit anytime I am in the area.

If you haven’t already definitely stop by and get your food on! Everything is delicious and the atmosphere is friendly, they make you feel like family. Most nights you’ll find the owner ( George) milling about talking with everyone, super friendly guy. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like. The boudin egg rolls are a must though!!

Visiting the area and happened to stumble upon Bec’s during some google searches. Started with some of the best (if not the best) Spinach and Artichoke dip i’ve ever had. Had the Shrimp And Grits and it was absolutely amazing as well. Service was fantastic, super friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to eat here again!

Loved it. Was looking for something out of the way (not a chain) on a Monday when most places were closed. Bec's was perfect. Great spot on the lake, clean digs, and great food. Seafood sliders, sausage gumbo, and an awesome brownie for desert. Owner said hi and the wait staff were friendly. Hard to beat on a quiet Monday.

Good food, agreeable price. Kind of a hidden gem, Bec's is located next door to a more expensive establishment. If you're in the mood for good food but not ready to pay an arm and a leg Bec's is a good alternative. The burger and gumbo were excellent and the service was good. Definitely left happy.

Bec's has a "Summer camp" exterior, and the restaurant is elevated. There is indoor and outdoor seating (screened in). The interior has a seaside decor. Everything is neat and clean, and the wait staff is friendly. The owner came over and spoke to us. Our appetizer was Nacho Chips, with Cheese & Spinach Dip. The chips were seasoned with an Old Bay style powdered seasoning. We enjoyed this. My meal was the Fried Shrimp Plate, with an extra Side Salad. My lunch mates ordered the Fried Seafood Platter, which came with catfish, shrimp, & oysters. They also ordered an extra salad. Both plates came with good Hush Puppies and standard French Fries. We found the seafood to be crisp, perfectly seasoned, and not a bit greasy. I would recommend this place and would return. RJT

Food was delish and you have to try the Apple Praline Cobbler. Sooooo good!!! So glad my husband talked me into going out. We had spent the day out fishing and I was spent. He wanted to go by and grab some food. I wanted drive-thru. We went and oh man!!!! The food is amazing, staff was excellent and the dessert?!! Just wish it was day light so we could have seen the lake. Definitely on our list to eat there again when we come back next year!!!

What a treat this was, everything from entrees service as well as our main courses and dessert for fabulous. We started off with the Boudin egg rolls for appetizer for the main course I had to barbecue shrimp my wife had the seafood muffalata my brother have an oyster Po Boy for dessert we had the fried bread pudding a la mode oh my! Do you want to try someplace different and what great food fantastic service awesome atmosphere overlooking the lake this is definitely the place you want to visit. We most definitely will be back.
