We really liked food at Samos! It is simple but very tasty and freshly made. Their desserts are just excellent! You bring your own vine. It is a true hidden gem. They don't take reservations. Highly recommend!

Delicious sliced gyro. This was my first time and was not disappointed. I Can’t wait to try their other dishes in the restaurant

The food was delicious and it's a great date night spot. We shared a Greek pizza and the Souvlaki platter; both were very tasty. The service was great with just the right amount of check-ins on us.

Great Greek place in Baltimore. It's almost a regular now if I have time to get there. Fantastic great flavorful food. You can hardly go wrong with the menu. I usually get lamb. They cook it so well! Definitely try it out if you get the chance.

Samos is the BEST restaurant in Baltimore!!...Nick, Tammy and Joyce, they are the so Wonderful. You couldn't ask for better food or service. This is the reason they have been in business for as long as they have been. Don't pass up the chance to eat here, you'll regret it!

After one visit, it’s easy to see why this restaurant has lasted 40+ years. Simple but sufficient menu. We ordered an assortment of appetizers to try. The grilled octopus was a pleasant delight and I particularly enjoyed the grilled pork kebab. My guilty pleasure was the fluffy and flavorful pitta bread.

Love this place! The moussaka may have finally convinced me I don't hate eggplant. It was THAT good.

Great authentic Greek with other options, including Italian. Portions are huge, and the service is great. If you try this restaurant once you will want to come back.

Delicious food, large serving sides. They now

More importantly what to order:

1⃣ Lamb, tis da MF'n bomb!
2⃣ Gyro
3⃣ House salad with the sardines
4⃣ Hummus. It should probably be 2nd it's that good.

Also, you can definitely share the platters. But who wants to do that?

The BEST Greek food I have ever had hands down. The pita was perfect. The taziki was perfect. All the food was absolutely perfect. And all at an extremely affordable price. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore. I'd recommend to anyone in Greektown. Absolutely 5 star experience.

The grilled octopus appetizer was really great, and we also had the tzatziki dip it was fresh and delicious. Heads up ! you are served pita bread with each appetizer and main dish that you order. The lamb shank was well seasoned, came off the bone easy and the potatoes were delicious. The Seafood Santorini was a surprised because it was a pasta dish and it wasn't mentioned on the menu. It would of been a good decision to place the scallops on top of the pasta instead of the bottom where you have to look for them. Overall it was a good dish with minor flaws.

Great, authentic food. Got the tzatziki and the Greek salad which were both excellent. Service is fantastic. One minor downside is that the place is cash only (and it’s not well posted), so I didn’t have any way to pay, the manager was so kind —she told me not to worry and to come back to pay when I could!

So delicious. Greek food is so good when it's done the right way. The soup was amazing and the gyro meat was delicious. Fresh feta is awesome too. Our waitress was top notch as well. Definitely coming back to this awesome, delicious gem. Thank you so much for the wonderful lunch.

Probably my favorite restaurant in the city, of course they make excellent greek food but its the people and location that really do it for me. The owner is always on the grill cooking up heat, but he constantly stops to say hello to the neighborhood regulars who all know each other. The servers have clearly all been working here for a long time, testament to the type of place the owner is running and theyre all the sweetest people. I only ever go when im in the area, by no means a regular and still i feel like a part of the neighborhood every time i go. As far as the food goes, ill just say that ive never been inside and not heard people speaking greek to each other- id wager a big portion of their customers are greek immigrants who know what good greek food is and this is where they eat.

Samos is a true Baltimore gem, i love the food and place but i really love the people behind the food.

My first time there and man is this place a rare find. My daughter and I split the huge gyro, best ever, a plate of tzatziki with pita, melitzanosalata, and olive tapenade all outstanding snd clearly made right in house. Then we were lucky that day because they were making to order, Loukoumades, which were dough balls lightly dipped in sugar with a honey cinnamon topping. That topping is homemade and I had the luxury of standing there asking the chef how he made it since the kitchen area is visible from the front counter. They were exquisite really. Save room and cross your fingers they are making them the day you go! Hands down best authentic Greek food around!!!

Beat Greek food in Greektown... errr ... in Baltimore.
old school... No reservations. Write your name down on the wait list when you arrive. Cash only. BYOB.

Come hungry- everything is delicious.
First timer? Go with the tour of Samos. A sampler of all the deliciousness on the menu.

Save room for dessert. The Galaktoboureko (custard wrapped in filo dough) is amazzzzing. The cheesecake was a blinding white slice of heaven.

Even the salad dressing is ridiculously good here.

Only thing better than the food - the service. The place can be packed to the gills with an hour wait ( did I mention no reservations) but the staff is nice as can be. Joyce and Kayjah stand out as 2 superstars!

Come on off hours or be prepared to wait. And there’s not much space to wait. But however long the wait is - it’s worth it!!! 🇬🇷👍🇬🇷👍🇬🇷👍🇬🇷👍

Best gyros in Highlandtown. Authentic Greek food, including Greeks salads, gyros, grilled octopus, fresh desserts.
Very reasonably priced. It's my go-to for quick, delicious lunch.
They only accept cash, so make sure you cash before picking up or sitting down.
Highly recommend.
