The Cornerstone Restaurant

This little place was a HUGE success with us on our Mardi Gras visit to Gautier, MS. The food was delicious (most of us had the special and it was to die for) and the service was outstanding. We did not have to wait to be seated and the food came quickly. We got there during happy hour and enjoyed the BEST $5 premiere cocktails ever. The owner and waitress both were so friendly and even didn't mind taking pictures of us for our memories. We have Cornerstone marked on our map for a return trip!

We have been going to this restaurant since it opened in Gautier, followed them to Pascagoula, and still go now they are back in Gautier. Service and food are amazing. I get the whole fried flounder every time. My grandparents get the catfish. You can tell their food is FRESH seafood. Today as a side I offered the veggies which were griled and seasoned to perfection. The sweet potato casserole melted in your mouth. Flounder was amazing as usual. Our server we patient with our questions, extremely attentive, made sure we were happy and drinks stayed full. Also prebussed the table. Always impressed with this restaurant. You would think at least one visit would have to be just ok but every time it's the very best experience. Love love this local restaurant ❤

Food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Large portions, a tad pricey but it is seafood, seasoned with perfection and well worth every penny spent. Will definitely return if I live to see it and have been spreading the word to family and friends.

We had a wonderful experience at the new Cornerstone Restaurant! The food was delicious with huge portions! Can't wait to visit again!

Everything was AMAZING! Our waitress Ms. Kandy (I think) was phenomenal and attentive. Visited here while evacuating from Hurricane Ida. Atmosphere is welcoming. Food came quickly and was delicious. Do yourself a favor - EAT HERE!

Diverse menu. Attentive and personable staff. Interior is a bit ordinary but comfortable.

This was our first meal at The Cornerstone. I plan on returning as soon as we are back in town. Traveling full time gives us opportunities to indulge in the fare of local restaurants all over the country. In the 42 months we have lived this lifestyle, there have been hundreds of these meals. This is easily a top 25 for food and service among those hundreds.

Our server was a lovely young lady who was full of personality, had an understanding of the menu and was able to ask the right questions to steer us to great food choices.

If you get the chance, make the choice to try a meal at The Cornerstone. We are happy we did!

Absolutely a delightful atmosphere and food quality! Loved dining on the bar side of the restuarant, it makes for a nice romantic dinner. I will go back anytime I'm in the OC area or Gautier, MS.

Their potatoes are awesome. Only negative I have on the menu is the salad. The one time I got it-I was not impressed. Everything else is a yum! Great staff!

Delicious food! Service was fast and friendly. We were seated in seconds and our orders were taken promptly. The food was much better than you'd expect for the price. A tad bit salty, but the flavors were perfect. The atmosphere is comfortably casual. Nothing fancy or pretentious about this place. If want a really great meal at a good price, without all the fuss, you will love this place!

Update: 1/29/2021 They have moved to Gautier on Hwy 90. The new building is nice. Fixtures, tables and decor are all new. Nicely paved parking lot. Very busy, popular restaurant. The patrons from Pascagoula have followed them to their new location.

Mom and I came in for a lunch date together, food was delicious staff was very friendly highly recommend I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich 💛

This was our first time back since they relocated and the only difference I could find was a different location. The food excelled expectations. They know how to make flounder taste like a little slice of heaven. And the crab claws were perfect, sliding off of the claw without sticking and just enough crunch without overpowering the meat. It was about as good as it gets.

The service was great considering the place was packed. Our waitress would check on us during her rounds and would get to us as quickly as she could if we raised our hands. Overall, in spite of the crowd the wait staff was on the mark.

The atmosphere was family friendly, but most importantly (at least to me) also adult friendly. I didn't feel like the kids had taken over the place. A lot of that goes to the parents, of course, but some has to go to the Cornerstone itself. It made for a very enjoyable evening all the way around.

I would recommend The Cornerstone to anybody that loves great seafood.

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is nice enough. Food was amazing thus the five stars. I had the grater tater and I had never had a potato like it. It was really good! Now if you don't like fried cheesy food you won't like this place. But if you do I recommend It!

Amazing food! Generous portions, great prices, super fast service! We came in for lunch, it was served quick and hot. Our server was friendly and followed up with us in specials or questions, our food came out quickly and was delicious! Definitely recommend for good food, and sea food lovers alike.
