Market Cafe

I traveled to Louisville MS from Tuscaloosa Al to pick up a musical instrument for my grandson. I stopped in this charming Cafe to eat before I returned home. The food was delicious and the service was great. I will definitely visit them again when I am in the area.

We travel thru Louisville on our way to Starkville. Tonight was our first visit with Market Cafe. The fried shrimp was delicious. Salad bar was fresh, clean and had a great selections. Service and atmosphere was fantastic!! We will be going back! Delicious rolls too!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity I had to indulge in lunch here with friends of mine.
Market Cafe has a very nice ambiance, as it feels very welcoming and comfortable. It's in the heart of downtown Louisville, which certainly adds to the overall vibe and experience of dining here.
What I really appreciate is that the server understood my special request with the salad I chose; it came out from the kitchen very delicious, and the portion size was large enough to become a second meal.
My friends very much enjoyed their selections, including the Mississippi Eggrolls for a starter.
All of us left very satiated and happy. Thus, thanks are in order to Market Cafe!

We sampled three of the appetizers because they looked so interesting. They didn’t disappoint. Fried green tomatoes, fried pimento cheese and collard green egg rolls. Typical Mississippi country food with a real funky creative twist.

Had a huge grilled chicken club salad, it was very good!

Very nice place with a nice waitress. Their menu is a little more diverse then the usual Louisville eatery and they have reasonable prices. The atmosphere is cozy but they're in need of a good busser to keep the tables clean and floor swept up. The food was tasty and the portion are generous. I'll be sure to eat there again.

I try to eat here as often as I can. My wife and I love it. Southern cooking at its finest. Not just your typical Southern style food, this place has it's own flavor and chef Johnny has his own style. You can have eggrolls stuffed with Collard Greens, a burger with Pimento Cheese or a Steak covered with shrimp and grits. I have been around around this country and ate at some of finest places you can. For the $ and quality, it doesn't get any better than Market Cafe.

Such a wonderful restaurant owned by an equally wonderful family! I live about an hour away and it's most definitely worth the drive every time! Plus, it's hard to find a great salad bar!! They have mastered it all!!

In town for a funeral. Had lunch with a old friend. Had the Mississippi egg rolls as a appetizer and bacon and onion cheeseburger.

Food is phenomenal, staff is courteous, and the atmosphere is top notch. When in Louisville, this is a must for anyone who enjoys a good night out.

THE J BIRD CHICKEN SAMMICH.... It was dreary wednesday around 11:30AM I was hungry and looking for the perfect sammich to give me nourishment to continue on with my day. On a whim I called Market Cafe and ordered a Jbird Chicken Sammich. Upon arrival I could smell the perfectly crusted chicken breast waiting in my togo box. beckoning to be consumed by me. I pay the lady and take my sammich back to my office. I open the box and there she lay.... THE PERFECT CHICKEN SAMMICH... Fresh buns still toasty from the stove top. Fresh homemade pickles lay delicately on my bed of fresh lettuce. then I see her, the chicken breast. Golden brown in hue, breading holding the breast as if it were newborn holding on for dear life. I lift the sammich and take a bite. Im immediately filled with joy and happiness. the sauce on the side adds to the flavor already created. i taste my fries and they are cooked to perfection as well. I feel like a king again. I can now continue my day happy and full. Thank you market. god bless

Definitely going back, service was prompt and friendly, decor and atmosphere was comfortable. We both got FGTPBLT ( fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese, bacon ...) and it was excellent.

Cute restaurant in a old store building. Their specialty of pimento appetizer was good! Peaceful and a quiet place.
