Biloxi Shrimping Trip

Hands-on experience, great history lesson. Good knowledge of local things to do. We got to see oyster sorting and shrimping. Baby shrimp are so cute!! Plus a good description of all the other sea creatures we caught in the net while we were out.

Very informative, entertaining and relaxing tour. Even though the net did not catch many water critters, we learned so much about the shrimping process and the 🦐

We booked a tour and there were 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 kids. We had a good time although there was a tour of 28-30 people who were able to board before us and they took all the seats at the top of the boat. The kids were disappointed but it actually ended up working out because they got to actually handle shrimp, fish and even a large blue crab. We saw dolphins also. I live on the coast so I recognized most of the species, but all in all was a good trip and the kids actually loved it!

Enjoyed the trip. I really liked the information on the commercial shrimp and oyster industry. I eat oysters any chance I can. I had no idea how much science was involved in raising/growing oysters commercially. I also found it interesting how the state of Mississippi calculates when to open the commercial shrimp season.
Definitely hydrate yourself and and sit in the lower level if you don't tolerate heat well. The tour is definitely well worth it.

This was a great experience. I loved the info about the oysters! Who knew they started so small!! The shrimping was lackluster but that was because of the recent rains, not by any fault of the crew. The crew was funny, knowledgeable and courteous.

Fun, educational trip. The crew was great. And we really appreciated that they let us bring our dog.

Mike and Lex were amazing! This trip was more than what we expected! They were kind, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the area in a friendly and engaging manner. They showed us many different types of fish, shrimp and crab, letting my son hold or touch all of them. The oyster nursery was also super interesting and unexpected. They answered our questions and made sure we were comfortable and engaged. Would highly recommend for families visiting the area!

The Biloxi Shrimping Tip was great! They were very knowledgable, welcoming, and accommodating. Even though we did not pull up a bunch of shrimp, It was fun to see what we were going to pull up. I am from California, so this was a good way to learn about the area. It was definitely worth it.

We went in a slow day. Crew was very informative and child friendly. We went during the off season for shrimping. We still enjoyed the demonstration and an opportunity to learn about the business. Took about an hour and kids really had a good time.

Really had a good time and learned quite a few things. Added excitement was the Coast Guard pulling along side & joining the trip! Although some may disagree because of the delay, I really like knowing they are doing their job and ensuring the tours and boats are following the law. The officer actually was fun to chat with about his experiences at sea and as a game warden in AL.

The guide/deck hand made the trip fun and answered every single question. Everyone on board - young & old - had a good time. Thanks for a great experience!

Took my niece out for a tour. It was fun! The crew were friendly and informative. All the kids in board were smiling and having a great time. We learned about shrimp, and various other animals that live in Biloxi waters. We had a dolphin following the boat and saw a ton of gulls. It was a hot day, but the shade on the boat and ocean breeze made it comfortable. I would so this again and recommend to friends and family.

We had a fun time on this trip. It's just a slow cruise along the shore and back which shouldn't cause much seasickness. Having a blanket or towel to sit on is a plus. The captain put out the nets and talked about the local environment, shrimp, fish, and other catch. Some dolphins tagged along. Towards the end the nets were pulled in and the catch was reviewed from within an aquarium. It was a fun relaxing trip and educational, seemed to be good for all ages.

I had a blast today and very interacting!!! Love the hands on experience and the way they make you feel comfortable and let you walk around the boat freely!! Best boat trip I’ve had in a long time!

We went in the beginning of March. Not shrimp catching season yet, but they demonstrated the process and VERY informative. It was a slow and steady cruise. Wonderful for all ages!

Definitely suggest this trip! The guys definitely know their stuff and make it a very enjoyable time!

We enjoyed this experience with our two toddler boys. The hour length was perfect for their attention. The knowledge the crew had of the area was fun to learn. Getting to see some of the sea life up close was fun for all of us!

Tour guide made it super fun with only 2 couples. Amazing job! Learned a lot about catching shrimp and feeding seagulls. Even dolphins were swimming besides us. Really nice trip on the water. Thanks

Great experience! We went on this little tour on Monday 6/9/17. Great staff, and loved all the information given along with catching some shrimp. I would recommend this to all. We will be back!
Also the following day we went on a Offshore fishing trip which couldn't have been any better. The boat was called Strictly Business Great Capt. along with his first mate. Caught some Red fish and some Mackerel. When we got back to shore our great Capt. Brandon filet the fish, and we brought the fish down the street where it was fried up in some of the best fish fry ever. The place was called the Filling Station. We met up with some others who were on the fishing trip as well , and ate some fresh fish. Totally unforgettable ! Thank you! Thank you!

Absolutely wonderful each trip! We’ve been several times and it’s better each time! Super informative and more than worth it!
