Circle Pizza and Subs

Hear me out. I'm giving 5 stars because I think it deserves 5 stars. I think my family just made some poor choices and people need to manage their expectations.

It's a small restaurant. We (family of 5) arrived when it was empty but it quickly started to fill up. I'm not sure what the situation was or if this is typical but there was only one person waiting tables. Service was faster and friendlier than expected. The woman was very nice, attentive and helpful and looked like she was doing everything right and working as fast as possible. 5/5.

Again, it's a small space so that can't be helped. I started to feel a little uncomfortable after a while, but that's more of a personal anxiety issue of mine. Everyone was nice and seemed unbothered by everyone else's presence. There are some cool pictures and wall decor, my son pointed out some of it to me as we chatted waiting for the food. The space is what it is. If you're anxious like me, order it to go and eat on the beach. 5/5

Every pizza I watched get served to surrounding tables looked and smelled amazing! If you come here, order pizza! I also saw a lady with the biggest salad I've ever seen! I have no idea what it was but it was so big I'm not sure how you could eat it on one plate. It looked appealing too, try a salad. We ordered onion rings, fried mushrooms and cheesy bread for appetizers, they were all good according to my family. I only had the bread and onion rings. I'm a huge onion ring fan and these were great! The cheesy bread was really cheesy but the bread looked like it was a sub roll. Either way it tasted fine. My daughter loved her cheese pizza, it looked delicious and was big considering it was intended for one person. All of that 5/5

Unfortunately, I must be honest and say the burgers and fries aren't a great choice. My son immediately noticed his bun was cold. Not a big deal. The burger itself was hot and seemed well seasoned but it was just dry, possibly because it's a smashed patty. Maybe you can ask for a medium burger, I'm not sure and in their defense we didn't ask when we ordered, although we weren't offered a choice. My husband and son loved the fries. They appear to be seasoned fries and they were very crispy. For me they were too crunchy. This is why I gave food 4 stars. One item out of many was underwhelming.

Overall it's a great pizza and apps place with a great atmosphere and service. Us not loving a burger at a pizza place doesn't justify leaving a bad review imo. Definitely give them a try but maybe not the burger.

This is a wonderful place with extremely kind folk. We wrote $0 for a tip, but left some cash in the tip jar. I do hope the owner or manager saw that and did not think we left her dry. Thank y’all so much for making our trip to Emerald Isle worth it! 🍔🤍🍕

Wonderful service in the off season (Nov.), and really great, quick food. The full sandwich and fries is easily able to split, and the wings were great! Will be going back for lunch again.

I ordered wings from here while I was in town. The wings were good. But like I told my dad it’s not really hard to get chicken wings right. He has ate other items from here though since he lives by them and he likes almost all the things he ordered. The ranch they gave me was good also! I’m a stickler for good ranch. The girl who took my order was nice and whomever took my payment when I got there was nice. Getting 10 wings for $8 is definitely a deal!! This is a picture after I had ate some of the wings. Hahaha. These are the BBQ ones.

Johnnie is the best person I’ve ever met to wait on us in a restaurant. Food was amazing. She was the reason we will come back.

We always make Circle our first meal on Emerald when arriving. The pizza then acts as beach lunches if there is any left. The folks are always super nice even though this is a very busy place. We always carry out but you can eat in. Best pizza on the Island

Absolutely delicious pizza! The crust is fantastic and toppings were plentiful! We always hit this place when up from FL visiting family in EI. Staff is very friendly and I highly recommend the pizza! The time to complete your order can be a little long but it's worth the wait!

My wife’s in the restaurant business and like so many places coming out of the pandemic, these guys are understaffed, which is not their fault. We called ahead, they gave us an approximate pickup time, I got there and had to wait a little longer. Seems like everyone on the island wanted pizza that night. But I’ll tell you, it was hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had in my 61 years including Pizzeria Regina in Boston and once I had a slice the wait time was a non issue. And the staff was super nice and accommodating. A suggestion would be to add a small bar area and serve beer & wine and maybe a complimentary app, maybe pizza bites, which would turn the wait into something cool. With your food and the friendliness of your staff, you have a real chance to make it and I hope you do.

I had a fantastic experience here this weekend. There was an awesome lady named Jonnie or Johnnie, not sure how she spells her name, who made a great menu recommendation and gave great service. (The supersub and cheesecake was SO good!) She was friendly, professional and attentive. She was the only one working, and I noticed when she was taking another table’s order- the phone was ringing and a man (unsure if he was a cook, the owner, manager etc) from the back stepped out and saw she had her hands full taking another family’s order and continued to rudely shout at her to answer the phone. Jonnie made my experience fantastic, and I hope this colleague of hers doesn’t routinely talk to her, or anyone like that. Be kind to people. I will be back for her service! 😊

Service was spectacular. We came on Memorial Day, and it was really busy. Our server brought us a small cup of pineapples right away for our toddler, to help hold him over while we waited for our order. She made my other son a salad just how he wanted it, off menu. Pizza was fabulous!

This is coming from Pennsylvania people… My girls & I LOVE LOVE LOVED it! Delicious pizza, great service, great atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

This was great pizza and subs! Super friendly people on the phone and at the front for pick up. There was a wait but that’s expected on a Saturday night at the beach. No issues there. I loved the thin, tasty crust. It’s a must have every time we’re in Emerald Isle!

We went here for the first time and it was amazing! The food was pretty quick I had gotten spicy wings and they were great. Wonderful service too, the lady was really nice and friendly. I definitely see me going back there.

Pulled in for one of the kids on short notice, placed an order and they even brought it to the car. No complaints from the kiddo, she loved her pizza!

Stopped for lunch after coming off the beach, and we were very happy with our meals. The service was fast and so very friendly and welcoming - our server went above and beyond. Our burgers and subs were fabulous, and the fries were out of this world good. We’ll definitely be stopping on our next visit to Emerald Isle!

The food was absolutely delicious, the burgers were to die for. We ordered delivery and the food was on time (if not early) was still hot and fresh. This was our first time ordering from here but we will do it again.

Service with a smile here, plus excellent pizza. We had the meat lovers pizza, which had tons of meat and cheesy goodness. We also had the buffalo chicken pizza, which again had anyone of cheese and a perfect spiciness. Lastly we added cheese fries that again had a great amount of cheese. To top it all off the staff were amazing and super friendly. We will be adding Circle Pizza to our return places to always visit!

The food here is great! The staff was helpful and kind. The waitress made small talk, reccomendations, helped with boxes, refills, etc. All 4 people in my party enjoyed what they ordered as well! We ordered 5 sandwiches, 4 drinks, and an appetizer and spent about 50 dollars total, so the prices are fair! It is a small place, so I can imagine it being cramped at busy times, but the food is well worth it! We will be visiting again before we leave the island!
