My family just visited this public dock 10/31/2021 and had a grand day. We stayed for about 5hrs and caught al kinds of stuff, I pictured a couple below. Awesome dock, with attached seats, and stairs leading into the water. The dock itself is very kid friendly and steady/beautiful. We loved the view and the comfort of it. Also a very VERY friendly community. Would highly recommend for walks, pictures, fishing, or just relaxing.

This is a small park with a freshly rebuilt pier. The new pier has concrete decking and a set of wide wooden steps that go into the water for launching a kayak or paddle board. At the end are benches and an area for fishing or just sitting.
The steps are wide enough that I watched two inexperienced kayakers and one inexperienced paddle boarder access the water with very little difficulty. The water at the steps is around waist to chest deep depending on the tide.
The land portion is small and only has about six parking spots that are often full in the busy season, but it's a nice area to walk. This is between two homes and is in a residential area. Please remember to park, and act, accordingly.

Out of every place we visited in Emerald Isle this one is definitely a hidden treasure. While it may he small it is very quiet and a great place to sit and think. Please make sure to look over the left side of the dock so you can see the wonderful family of crabs that live in the ground.

It's a great spot mostly for the locals. Not very big. Nice place to park your bike and rest in the shade.

Caught plenty of jumping mullet and shrimp in a cast net. Got to see a lot of jets flyover pretty low.

Please note, dock is closed due to hurricane damage. When not closed, it's a great place to bring your kayaks or paddleboards and explore the sound. There are a few small "islands" in the sound that you can easily paddle to and explore for hermit crabs.
We have also gone "crabbing" from the dock and that's fun for the kiddos.

Note: there is not much parking.

Great new dock with set of stairs at the end to launch a kayak or SUP. Fishing was decent. Not a ton of parking though.

Need to return to this place. The ferry will be running soon to Bear island. Nice place with trails and a great educational place for kids and family visiting.

Right down the street from a friend's retirement home. Small but you can definitely launch a kayak or fish from the pier.
