Went tonight for my birthday & they did not disappoint.
For appetizers we had the fresh bread & mussels, drinks were teas & a tin can.
Entrees we had the duck with pork belly, jasmine rice & mixed veggies & the beef medallions with mushroom risotto, blistered tomatoes & asparagus. Dessert we took tiramisu to-go. Everything was delicious!
The server was exceptionally great & attentive. The atmosphere was calm & efficient & the restaurant was clean & seemed to be running drama free. Very relaxing environment with fantastic food & service. Definitely a place worth trying if you haven’t been & worth going back. Thanks!

Our new go-to place for exceptional local dining. We were warmly welcomed upon arriving and experienced attentive hospitality throughout our dinner. The general manager and the owners engaged with us to ensure we had everything we needed. The wait staff were equally impressive as were our meals. Hands-down the best crab-cakes ever! Impressive bar and wine list! I can't wait for the new expansive bar to open! The roof-top bar has the best views on the island! A true four-season experience for locals and guests alike on our little island paradise!

Very nice place, good fine dining, friendly atmosphere and staff, and clean.

Update: The first review was in 2021. This review is dated for 8/22/23. I first want to say Thank you to Michael for accommodating my family and I. We were about to leave due to the young lady at the entrance saying their wasn't any tables and we could sit at the bar or she has a table which must be given back at 7:15 pm it was already 6:23 pm she wasn't friendly, she didn't ask how many was with us and she just stared blankly at us. I realize some people reserve tables but we have never been treated in that manner before at this restaurant in the past nor any other. I know everyone who came in before nor after had reservations. I picked up a lie in my spirit but I'm thankful for Michael assisting us. The next visit we will reserve our time. I did not want to take away a star due to what happened because the food was so delicious and we couldn't eat everything so we carried the remainder home. My entire family was excited about our trip and we planned to eat at Caribsea before we came to emerald isle. I'm so thankful we weren't disappointed. Also our server was a very nice gentleman he did an excellent job taking our orders, explaining everything, making sure we had everything and was ok. My order did get undercooked and he made sure they cooked it longer because he did let them know how I desired it cooked. I'm very grateful for our server and the cooks are amazing. Updated pictures on this visit begin with the shrimp and the oysters you'll see again its one of our favorite appetizers. The surf and turf steak and crab with potatoes and asparagus was beyond amazing as well. It was a special for the evening.😋

Lovely upscale beach restaurant. Nice to be pampered while enjoying delicious food especially the crab cakes, scallops and shrimp!

I can't begin to say how great Caribesa is! I reserved a table for a small wedding reception. When we arrived they had given us a private area. The entire staff is friendly and kind. Our server was a rockstar and did the most amazing job. The chef is so talented and made the most exquisite food, beautifully presented. I could go on and on about the restaurant and how great it is. If you haven't been you must go you won't regret it.

The restaurant is on the third floor and also has a rooftop bar when the weather is cooperating. This is a fine dining experience. You can add shrimp, scallops or crabcakes to a steak if you want the surf and turf experience. Everything we've had here is excellent. I've never been much of a scallop person but I am when I eat here. The scallops are the best I've eaten.

So far, this is my favorite place to eat at on Emerald Isle. I've never had a bad meal here with the exception of a well done Filet mignon that they immediately corrected. The Crab cakes were reccomended from a friend who was from Maryland. Obviously, if they make that kind of recommendation you gotta listen. Yes it is expensive but its totally worth it! The cocktails are well crafted and tasty. I would definitely recommend coming here for a date or other special occasion!

Had a great date night at Caribsea! Gourmet 5 Stars always great food and service! If you’re local to the area great place to go eat dinner! You want to make a reservation and plan on spending over $100 for Two but it is worth every penny! I recommend Edwin as your server!

It was my birthday and they went above and beyond. I had a wonderful experience.

First of all the service was amazing..our server was very kind, friendly and attentive.. I wish I could remember her name! The food was equally as great! Highly recommend the Roasted bone marrow..the French Onion Fondue, Pistachio Crusted Tuna, Beef Medallions, the mixed drinks did not disappoint! We will go out of our way to visit again!

A modern style place with great food and service. Reservations accepted but we didn’t know. They found us a nice table and we certainly enjoyed our date night there. We shared the oysters with collards which was delightful! Then we had salads topped with crab cake and shrimp. Wine selection was great and we found a tasty Chardonnay to pair with our meal. We had no room for dessert but they had some wonderful options!

Service is great, atmosphere is cool and unique, but the food is amazing.

First, the crab cakes. Yes, they are that good. Go early, order extra.

The goat cheese crouton is the sleeper you need to try, no matter what you order. Eat it with the greens or any beef dish, it's phenomenal.

And you can't miss with any of the seafood, from the raw to the scallops. Perfectly handled, every time.

I would give them 6 stars if I could!! Everything was absolutely delicious!! We went up to The Torpedo Lounge before dinner & the espresso martini was incredible. My steak was cooked to perfection & the service was prompt. I would highly recommend adding this to your list of "must try" restaurants on Emerald Isle

Beautiful Upscale Restaurant , All around great foods and very nice service. Good vibes! The sushi was yummy an I’ve ate a lot so speaks volumes. The desserts were a nice finisher for the evening. Get your reservation in 😎

Best food on the island hands down!! Pricey, but you get what you pay for!! Great for special occasions or just a date night. Highly recommend eating here if you haven't already! We'll be back for sure!

My husband and I had such an incredible experience at Caribsea. I have been coming to Emerald Isle for 38 years. For the past few years on our yearly vacation, I had been meaning to try this place out and just didn't get around to it. I'm so glad we finally had an opportunity to. The food was absolutely fantastic and the environment was so enjoyable. We chose to sit up on the rooftop in the Torpedo Lounge. The views were gorgeous and the staff were so pleasant. We will definitely begin to include this place in our yearly visit.

If first you don't succeed getting reservations, show up and check out the rooftop and balcony. We choose the balcony with fans and a shade and had a lovely dining experience. Shrimp were light instead of heavy for a delightful difference. Drink a Caribbean Collins and then a Tin Can, both are equally refreshing. Crab dip was yummy. Catch of the day a great choice. Server was attentive and worried about the lighting in the group photo he snapped. Borrowed sunglasses from the next table for the photo (one cannot have squinting wrinkles) and struck up an engaging conversation with them.

Impressed with finding this great restaurant in a small beach town. The food was delicious! We had a mishap and our food was given to a table behind us. The error was found quickly and we were notified. The manager came out to personally apologize and offered us a dessert on the house, so 5-stars for the service. The floor plan is open, so it was a bit noisy but that’s not enough to deter us from going again.

Amazing! Just amazing! Crab dip, shrimp & grits, filet with asparagus and fingerling potatoes. I highly recommend all of them. The Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is such a great combination of sweet, savory, and spicy flavors, and the presentation is visually pleasing. The Tin Can is also a great choice.. It's a slightly sweet, but refreshing beverage.
