Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries

First time ever at this chain restaurant and the food was super good! What I liked is that I ordered a shrimp po boy & onions rings and it came out exactly like the pics on the menu. Portions are great for the price and cooked perfect. Not only that my server Layla was fantastic in menu selections as I was there with a coworker who was happy also. Thank you for a great meal and Layla as our server. Definitely will be back when we work here next.

Stopped at Hwy 55 on way back from vacation. Split a burger and tater tots. Great Strawberry Shake lasted 2 hours sipping slowly on the highway. Much more relaxing than a regular fast food place. Hwy 55 was created by a local guy in Mount Olive. Haley took time to explain everything to us.

We were reluctant to try at first due to the lower reviews but glad we did. Staff were super friendly and patient. Food was fast and fresh. Tasted amazing! Greeted both when we entered and when we left. Restaurant was clean and they were relatively steady. Great job!

Drove to Mt Olive for a VA hearing test. Stopped in for lunch at the Highway 55 ...what a treat! The service was outstanding and the cheese steak sandwich was the best I had ever had, ANYWHERE! The dining room was open, bright and very inviting. My waitress was as sweet as my tea. Not only would I eat there again, but I live in Rocky Mount and I'd drive there again for the sole purpose of eating there again! We have a Highway 55 in Rocky Mount but it's a hole-in-the-wall strip location. Mt Olive's is way out front. Thanks for being there!

My husband and I love this Hwy 55. The girls there are fantastic and Will cooks the best grilled chicken plate ever. Finish it off with a one scoop of banana pudding custard for the perfect dinner combination.

Excellent food and service. Good tots. Actually got served by a freaking robot!

Hands down the best Cheeseburger ever! Onion rings were awesome, not too much breading and not greasy! Love the 50's / 60's decor and music

What a great little spot!! If you’re looking for a fast casual restaurant this is a perfect place. The burgers were high-quality with fresh toppings (similar to Five Guys) and a great value. The servers were extremely friendly. The food was prepared very quickly. The kids meals were served in a little cardboard car which my child absolutely loved. The building was very modern and clean, and the outdoor seating was well-shaded. Will definitely visit again!!

On the way home from a school trip the bus broke down so we had 50-60 people come in here in the space of about 15 minutes. The employees were very accommodating and professional, and though it would have been understandable if it took a long time for our food to arrive the service was quick and the food was good. Well done Hwy 55!

I've not been to this chain in many years but was traveling for business with a coworker and he wanted to stop here. The restaurant was very clean and our server was on point. I wish I had gotten her name but it was around 2-2:30 on Wed July 22. She did an awesome job taking care of us. I order the pimiento cheese burger and fries. It was very good and we got it in less than 5 minutes. I could hardly believe it when she brought our food. One of the reasons I hadn't been to this chain in so long was the long wait times that had become expected. But this location did an excellent job on this day with both food and service. Great job.

Neat place. Had a Cobb salad crispy chicken . Tasty and fresh!

The building is nice big and great atmosphere, the waitresses are very friendly and very fast to seat you! Sorry to disappoint but they no longer take call in orders I don’t even believe they have a phone in the building but they do offer a full menu outside with a drive-through window. If you order online they have spaces provided for you to park for curb service and they will bring it to your car. Their hours of operation are from 11 AM until 10 PM although the dining area closes at 9:30 the drive-through window stays open until 10 PM. Hwy 55 ( formerly Andys’s ) has always been one of the best spots in town for a great burger or shake; since Smitty’s closed his door when I was a child. I love this place and never miss an opportunity to dine in there

Highway 55 was a big place to go when I was little. Now I'm taking my kids here. I didn't have a lot of good service at the old highway 55. But this new one is awesome! Me and my family had great service and a great waitress. The food was great. We will definitely be going back 👍

This Hwy55 was above and beyond! The waitress met me at the door and welcomed me. I ordered the jalapeno jack philly and gravy fries. Hot and delicious. Very friendly staff that was on point at every step. I was passing through but if I ever do again, I am stopping here again.

First time here and I loved it. Customer service is exceptional and so is the food.

I accidentally walked in before they were open, but I was greeted with smiles (albeit confused ones) from the whole staff. After politely explaining that they open at 11, I was encouraged to place an order.
Their cheesesteak is delicious and the chili cheese fries are everything they should be, and it came out really fast.
