Islander Hotel & Resort

My husband said the only downside was a roach he saw in the bathroom when he went at night.
Beautiful room, amazing staff- we understand that there no 100% way of keeping pests out so we do not hold that against anyone. Sunset and sun rise on the beach both beautiful and just steps away from the room, with free parking and a small sweets shop inside in case you have a hankering for something. Close to shops and plenty of activities. Overall this was an amazing trip. We will be coming back again. 🙏🙏 thank you very much!

I've been vacationing in the area for a long time now but only recently getting to know the hotels. This one is worth it for the location and the hospitality.

The only complaint that I have is the bathroom is very small and doesn't have a toilet lid cover, so if you're trying to change clothes, you have to have them on the floor or carefully balance on the back and hope they don't fall into the toilet.

But aside from that, it's a very nice beach hotel.

My guild and I just spent 4 wonderful days for our annual retreat! The staff was great, the ball room was perfect and the rooms were great. I would suggest a new pest control company. We had a few un wanted visitors in our bathroom but the staff called pest control to come. But with that many complaints, it’s time for a pest control company that will take care of the issue. And that is a tough issue to fix. But over all we were happy and will keep coming year after year!

Not only did a human being answer the phone on the first ring..it was an incredibly sweet and knowledgeable lady named Rhonda. Other hotels in the area that are more expensive can't even answer a phone call. Excited for my stay! Thank you Rhonda!

Very nice rooms. We were close to the beach and restaurants nearby. Will definitely book again. Front desk was very helpful. We went off season not alot of traffic and alot of the businesses were closed and some closed early because of the super bowl, which was very disappointing.

The Islander Hotel is a wonderful place to stay! Bailey at the front desk was especially delightful 🙂 The room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable beds. Beachfront, a very short walk to the beach 🏖

I always enjoy my stay. The location is Perfect! The older section of the hotel could use some updating, but is very suitable, clean and comfortable. Be sure to call way ahead to book, especially for the busy season! 😊

This was a great place to stay! The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious. As soon as we opened the door you can smell how clean the room is. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel! Note" they don't serve a complimentary breakfast, but plenty of coffee and tea. There is a huge pool and a pool bar!

To start with, I was very skeptical about staying here because of some of the reviews, however I'm so glad that I did.Myself and my family really enjoyed our stay there, we will be coming back and staying at Islander Hotel & Resort. The staff was fantastic. Our room was GREAT! Was the room perfect, no, not if your used to staying at a 5 star resort where prices are $500+ per night. But in my opinion it is better than most top hotel chains. I noticed some had said there was roaches, we did NOT see one roach. The room was very clean, the beds and sofa was very comfortable, very large bathroom with very hot water and top of the line bathroom toiletries (spa soaps and hair products) unlike most hotel chains. There was no foul odors anywhere in the room, like someone else had said, it just smelled clean. There is only 2 things that I can say that was a negative is the broom that was in the room was very short, I would have really liked a full size broom, but atleast there was one to sweep up the sand that is bought in from being on the beach. We also loved that the floors were tile and not carpet as it is in most traditional hotels. The other negative was not having some type of lock on the bathroom door, but that was no biggie either, we knew when someone was in there. Also in regards to reviews saying that they could hear people walking n such on the floor above them, we did not hear anything above us or outside our door.

This was our second time staying here. We always love this hotel. The location is bar none the best. This year, we were blown away with the new addition of shops behind the hotel. Shopping, great pizza, amazing frozen daiquiri, all in walking distance, just added to the experience.
They have a great pool/pool area. Bathrooms at the pool as well.
Great access to the beach. So convenient!
Customer service from the front desk to housekeeping and the grounds personnel are all fantastic.
Oh, and the rooms actually look like the pictures. No surprises.
I love that you can come early before your room is ready.
Just bop in and get your parking pass. Then, head to the beach or pool.
You feel like you aren't losing a day for waiting.
We don't have children personally, but we had friends with little ones there. Very kid and family friendly.
They also have free bikes for any adventure. That was a hit with young and old.
Just can't wait to come back!

My stay at Islander Resort was just what the doctor ordered. The room was clean with modern furnishings. I especially enjoyed the second floor balcony view and was glad I accepted the upgrade offered by reservations when booking. The staff were helpful and extremely nice. If you stay in the building where the front desk is located, there is one entrance only and although I came in and out multiple times a day I was always greeted with a smile!! Beach access is super easy with a life guard station located at the end of the walkway. Can't wait to return again soon

We recently had our daughters brunch wedding at The Islander and it was a magical weekend! The setting was perfect for what we wanted and provided a wonderful place for our family and friends to celebrate and hang out together. The front desk staff (in particular, Ally) and maintenance were especially helpful and accommodating when we needed assistance. When there was a mixup with our rooms, Ally bent over backwards trying to come up with a viable solution, helping me avoid a meltdown in the lobby. 😊

The resort has many great amenities. Our guests enjoyed the beach, pool, and even the use of beach chairs. It is a great location on the island with several good restaurants nearby.

*if you are planning an event here, I highly recommend you stay on top of things to ensure follow through on decisions agreed upon. Although we really appreciated the flexibility and willingness to work with us during planning, it was frustrating when decisions already made changed or were forgotten. However, in the end, it all worked out and it was truly a wonderful wedding.

Can here with my family on vacation, this is such a great place!! The employees are very nice and helpful. The room was spotless, cozy beds, impressive shower water temperature. The view is AMAZING. And we decided to stay an extra day and the staff was so helpful.

We love this hotel and the ability to literally walk from the back patio onto the beach. It’s amazing.

The room was nice and clean. All the staff members were very helpful and pleasant. You can't beat the location. It is next to the water, some fun shops, grocery stores, and plenty of restaurants.

First time to Emerald isle and this hotel did not disappoint. Comfortable beds, great hospitality from the staff. Awesome location to everything. The room and the view was amazing. I like that you can sit on the balcony and just take the ocean view in. The hotel offers free bike rentals. Everything was awesome!

Absolutely loved this place! The location is brilliant and we loved being able to walk straight down onto the beach. The pool area was excellent but would have appreciated a umbrella for a little more shade? The pool bar was great and we got some very tasty drinks! It was great having some food places close enough to walk to. The room was spacious and comfortable but would suggest a door mat to help with the amount of sand that builds up in the room. The staff were attentive and helpful and we appreciated our early check-in! Would definitely stay here again!

Our first trip to Emerald Isle and let me say the staff here was very friendly and welcoming. Room was nice with a great view. Location could not have been better. A lot of little shops and resturants within walking distance.
Excited to visit Emerald Isle again!
