Abuelita's Mexican Restaurant

We love the food and go eat here a few times per week. Free chips, queso, tortillas and salsa. Ask for the special salsa, it's free and delicious.

This restaurant is our favorite place to enjoy a Mexican shrimp cocktail. It is served in a cold glass beer type mug. Loaded with cold shrimp, fresh avocado, pico. Very good. The food menu is good. We rarely eat anything but the cocktail. Highly recommend this cocktail.

Anytime I am in Shawnee, I want to eat here. Just the right amount of great Mexican choices. From the queso to the chips and salsa while you are waiting for your order.... don't fill up because you'll need to save room for your meal! It will be amazing!!! Love this place.

First time there and couldn't have had a better experience. Our server was attentive and very helpful answering questions we had. Complimentary chips cheese and salsa were fresh and refilled without asking. Learned from the locals to ask for tortillas and a spicier salsa for the grown ups. Plenty of food, actually the kid's meals would have filled an adult but we love leftovers and left with three boxes after stuffing ourselves. Price is very fair for what you get and we'll drive the 30 miles again purely to eat here. Five stars!

It was my first time there my date took me there after a workout the waitress was extremely friendly very helpful so happy and good-natured the whole time we were there I would go back in a heartbeat!

Our Chili Rejanos was hot, fresh and delicious as was the potatoes, rice, frioles and guacamole. Service was awesome. Scotlynn was wonderful. Fair price for a great meal. Highly recommend. Our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area !!

Best mexican restaurant in Shawnee in my opinion. I have lived here for 15 years and have been going to abuelitas just as long. The food and service is always amazing and super fast. You cannot beat the lunch deals!

This is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in Shawnee. The wait staff are always super polite. I've never had any problems with them. The service is surprisingly fast. And of course the food is amazing. I always get their pork tamales and they always come out perfect. They're always super fresh and they taste really authentic. This is definitely high up there in my favorite restaurants in Shawnee.

Abuelita's Restaurant has been in this location for many years. It was where KFC had been before moving to another location. If you want good food, with friendly waitstaff, go to Abuelita's.

I always enjoy eating here. I especially like the fact that they serve queso along with the salsa and chips. Not every restaurant provides queso at no additional charge. I highly recommend this place.
