Elephant Rock was gorgeous!! Rod took care of us after our truck broke down. From water to rides, he was a blessing!! I couldn't have made it for 5 days broke down at a campsite without Rods help!! I highly recommend Elephant Rock to anyone that wants a break from life!! It's not too crowded, and did I mention how gorgeous the scenery was? Perfect place!! Thanks again, Rod!! God bless!!

After trying to get in for a weekend visit last summer and it being full I made sure I called early this year to reserve a yurt. Man I am happy I did. We visited this past weekend and had a wonderful time! The owner was incredibly nice and helpful. Not only did they help us unpack our truck and get ice they even gathered firewood for our site. The yurt was a lot of fun for the kids to stay in and the adults loved how you were surrounded by nature. Rod told us where to see the best view and man are we glad we had a look. While you are not right next to the water the cliffs have a gorgeous view. The yurt had everything you could need for a trip (bathroom, ac, kitchen, furniture, cooking stuff) and we did not need to use half the stuff we brought. We will return as it was a very enjoyable experience.

If you are wanting to camp in this area and have complete privacy, this the place. I was looking for a rural area, away from people- even if that meant no bathrooms (which I don’t mind) to accommodate 10 friends. Our campsite had a fire pit and a picnic table with plenty of spots for tents. The owners are VERY chill and accommodating. Didn’t put any time stamps on checking in or out, including on our float trip. The shuttle picked us up on time to and from floating. They also helped my friend who showed up late meet us at the middle mark along the river. We had the greatest time here and I plan on coming back again!

My friend, Lizzy, and I had the best experience of our life! Rod took such good care of us and I am so grateful he did. Lizzy and I decided to go camping and float the river by ourselves for a weekend and Rod helped us set up camp, he showed us around his land, he checked on us regularly, he brought us to the river and picked us up on time, and he saw us off when it was time to go. So hospitable and caring! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and we can’t wait to go back again next year! Thank you so much, Rod, for being such an awesome host!!! 😁

We have stayed at some other place around the area but none of them compared to elephant rock. If you enjoy nature it's amazing love the place. Rod and his staff are amazing they go out of the way to make sure your stay is amazing. It's a family place and so peaceful at night quite but fun. We didn't stay in a yert but we are planning a fall or November trip they are amazing a/c, electric and fridge. Can't wait to go back

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! My guy & I kayaked the Illionois River Sunday & then stayed in the 24' yurt Sunday night into Monday. We showed up later than planned Sunday afternoon, so we only did about 6 mile of the river. The owner of ERNP Rod drove us to the halfway point on the river & it took us about 2.5 hours to make it to the pick up spot, granted we stopped for probably a half hour total along the route to swim & check out the scenery. Once at the p/u spot we called Rod & he came promptly to pick us up. Now for the yurt.. It was INCREDIBLY clean & had all the modern utilities you could ask for. We stayed on a Sunday & we did have another couple staying in the yurt about 50 yards away but the property was very quite & relaxing. The yurt itself was very spacious and had AC, a kitchenette, kitchen sink, cooking utensils, a microwave/coffee maker, mini fridge, kitchen table, futon couch, and 2 full sized beds (need to provide your own sheets/pillows). The yurt also had a good sized bathroom w/ a sink, HOT shower, and a toilet. We're outdoorsy people so we didn't expect much, but the bathroom & shower especially was SUPER clean-it felt brand new! Rod & his lady were more than hospitable. The only thing we regret is that we didn't stay another night or two. Highly recommend, and we will most definitely be back to kayak the entire alotted River!

We canoed the Illinois River from Watts to Horseshoe Bend with Rod's support. He could not have been any more hospitable or accommodating for our group. He rented us canoes, paddles, provided shuttles, and gave us interesting bits of information about the area. The yurt was clean and cozy with an affordable price, overall we had a great experience.

So first thing is that the place is beautiful! 2nd thing is that the yurts are beautiful! 3rd thing is that if you love camping and a place where you can get away from the drunk river crowd this is the place! 4th and final thing the staff is amazing, the owner Rod will take care of you with anything you need there are the best! I hope this review helps you make the right decision and book up!

Had a beautiful family trip to this place. Had more people show up than we thought (13 turned into 25) and had a blast. Owner was super accommodating, and we all had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend this spot for the nature lovers out there.

Amazing service, the owner Rod went above and beyond for us. Definitely our new go to. Be sure and call for directions to get in the back way, the front entrance is a doozy.

No longer in business. Lovely place to observe nature but that is about all it had going for it.
Feel for the owner who has lost his dream.
