St Brigid Catholic Church

This church is wonderful! I grew up Southern Baptist. However, after dealing with the stress of my parents changing churches multiple times starting in early 2018, I got out of the habit entirely. That all changed a few weeks ago where my best friend, a confirmed Catholic, invited me to come to this church with them. As soon as I entered the sanctuary, I felt God tell me “welcome home”. It was at that moment that I realized that this is the where I’m meant to be. I officially start RCIA today and I’m excited to see where this new journey takes me! God bless you!

This church is calming to me and is filled with loving people. When my life is stressful, I go here. I am Protestant, however I grew up with abuse and poverty. The structure in Catholic services is peaceful for me. Father Stuart is good to talk with and has helped me quite a bit by listening. I did have a bad experience when my husband and I attempted to attend RCIA classes. I am used to being able to openly ask questions and I came off as disrespectful because I did not understand the cultural differences between Catholic church as and the Protestant ones where I grew up. If you’re not Catholic, I’d say to just listen and ask questions after class if you have them. If I ever decide to attend RCIA classes again personally, I’d go for the Spanish RCIA class. I can go for long periods of time without attending and people will still remember me and treat me with love. I love this church!
