City Limits Bakery & Cafe

Fabulous little sandwich shop! We had the Cuban panini and the turkey, pear and Brie panini. Both sandwiches were delicious but the turkey with pear and Brie was my favorite. The baked potato salad is a must get side, even if it is an up charge! We also had a toasted marshmallow latte.

Noise level—conversation-friendly 68 db. Reasonably priced, family friendly place. The menu is simple—you can have anything you want as long as you want bagels! No fancy omelettes or elaborate egg dishes. And no $12-15 dollar per plate entrees. If you want a full brunch menu this isn’t the place.

This is a chill café with delicious sandwiches and muffins. The service is great as well. My husband and I will definitely visit again.

Great little breakfast place. Wait was not to long and our orders were out quickly. I had the Huevos Rancero breakfast sandwich which was very delicious. If like cream cheese, this is the one for you. Coffee was good to which is a must at a breakfast shop. The party I went with said they enjoyed their meals as well. Would recommend!

Searched for food with greater than 4.5 stars and away from the congested areas. Was not disappointed!

I had a turkey sandwich, my wife ate a tuna salad sandwich and both were very tasty! The tuna was a little dry, but otherwise the food was very good. We added on a lobster bisque and that turned out to be really good as well.

They run out of breakfast items pretty quick, so if you’re showing up later during business hours, you’ve now been warned and can’t get mad.

Bathrooms were clean and tidy, well stocked with soap.

This last piece may turn others away, but I’m a train lover - and the place sits less than 25 feet away from active tracks. You’ll know when one goes by.

All in all, I definitely recommend this place to anyone out looking to get away from the Starbucks or other fast food joints.

There's something about this place that is cozy and comfortable and just casual and cool that I love. The coffee is good, and I've never gotten food here that I didn't love as well, whether it was pastries, breakfast, or lunch.

Note: it's more the type of cafe you go to socialize than set yourself up with a laptop and headphones to get work done.

Overall, this is a solid establishment. My Greek Sandwich was very good, bread was fresh and unique. The chip selection is a very small bag of lays or ruffles. If management reads this, I would try to up your chip game. Having small bags of baked chips or even Miss Vickie’s kettle would go a long way. I certainly understand the challenging economic times, but $10.95 for basically just a sandwich for lunch is a bit steep. Breakfast & salad prices seem very reasonable which is good. A very local feel which is always refreshing!

Food was excellent. Prices were great. Jan was out server and she was so sweet and helpful. Definitely make the stop here!

This place is an absolute must stop and eat. Stopped by to have lunch one day, got a lobster bisque in a bread bowl and it was the best lobster bisque I had ever had. Besides the food being great, the customer service was friendly, the place was clean, and great prices. Will be back!

Fresh Baked Breads, Croissants, and amazing Coffee bar! And more Yummy-ness on our last lunch visit too. Great grilled chicken salad, delicious soup and scrumptious Lemon Bars (my new Fav)!!

We love this spot. My wife and I do not often get to enjoy many meals without our 4 little ones, so it was great to get out and relax while eating for once on a mutual weekday off, while kids were at school. Food is always good!

I meet here with a friend in Saturday mornings. The coffee and food are great.

The staff is also so friendly. I left my backpack on accident and didn’t realize until I had driven almost 40min away.

I called and they had already kept it in the back in case someone came back for it.

Great food & friendly staff! We stopped in for a quick breakfast to go after dropping our cat off for a procedure at the animal hospital several doors down, and there was a vast array of beautiful pastries available plus a large menu of hot sandwiches and coffees. I got a bagel with cream cheese, a chocolate croissant, and a latte, and they were all excellent. Service was fast and friendly. Reasonable prices, convenient location, delicious food, good people. Highly recommended!

The lemon bar with the coffee with pecan note was amazing.

First time I had a pressed bagel sandwich, and this one had grill marks. I learned that I prefer regular unpressed. But still pretty good. They use good ingredients.

We love coming to City Limits! Everything about this awesome local spot makes you want to keep coming back! Outstanding food, coffee, service, and both indoor and outdoor dining. We only wish we had found City Limits sooner! Newest favorite bakery and cafe in the greater Nashville area!

Very nice place to drink your coffee with variety of pastries or have your lunch or dinner if you like to have cold or hot sandwich/ penneny.
The staff were so lovely and kind.

Just went in on 01/09/2021 & had excellent service. It was still early, around 7:45, but It felt appropriately staffed. I love this neighborhood cafe & can feel good about recommending this place to anyone. Their sausage, egg & cheese croissant is so good and I am grateful to have a cafe like City Limits in our neighborhood.

Editing my review, this place is still producing great products but has been chronically understaffed since re-opening. I’ve provided feedback privately and am still seeing unfair odds for the kids behind the counter. Charge more for your products so you can create a more competitive benefit package for employees. The people who want cheap food and poor service will go eat at McDonald’s.

Amazing baked goods, paninis & salads. Coffee game needs a little work IMO. I ordered an Americano and had to explain to the cashier what I meant. They have other espresso items on their menu (lattes, cappuccino, etc..) so I was a little concerned. I definitely got a large drip coffee, which was great, but not what I ordered. I'm sure if I ordered something directly off the menu it would have came prepared exactly correct. They are very good at what they do, but I don't think they have a dedicated Barista in house.
