La Herradura

We joined our daughter and her family for a late lunch on a Saturday. We did not have to wait for a table. Service was amazing, and the food was delicious. Prices are reasonable too! I ordered a combination plate with green chili. The green chili was meaty, and this green enchilada sauce was one of the BEST I have ever had! I also loved their fresh taco that's on the plate. The taco shell was made fresh on the order. If you have not checked this gem out before, I highly recommend it!

I order enchiladas at pretty much every restaurant I go to. These were by far some of the best I’ve ever had. Comparable to my grandmas! Chips and queso weren’t very good but that didn’t take away from the entrees being amazing

I was recently in Artesia, and we ate dinner one evening at La Herradura (LH). LH is a restaurant that is literally on the other side of the tracks in a poor part of Artesia; however, do not let that deter you! The food is great, and the price is superb, especially compared to the price of New Mexican food in a larger city. I had a combination plate that included a taco, a rolled enchilada, and a chile relleno; with that, beans and rice were included. The cost? $10.50. The taste was super! I have eaten there before, and I've greatly enjoyed everything I've eaten there.

Note: On Sundays after church, it's my understanding that the place is packed with locals.

Note 2: I grew up about 3 blocks from the restaurant, and the people from that part of town (Morningside) are really great people!

Another good Mexican food for me, I love it. About the restaurant, out side look like a ware house but in side so wide and clean, as I walked in, there was already a big table with around 15 persons and I thought “this is good restaurant to try”. I really like Stuffed Sopaipia serve over here and I think everyone would like it the same to me.

Man this place is hidden I only found it from talking to the locals but it’s worth it although it feels like your walking into someone’s house cause it’s located in a neighborhood but wow the food was awesome and a egg on enchiladas a first for me but be careful things can be an unexpected spicy but it is an awesome Mexican food restaurant

A favorite of our family. We go at least once a month. There is always a crowd, but the wait staff is so good to get everyone seated quickly.

Holy cow the burritos are the size of a small newborn. Yummy too 😋. Friendly quick staff

Love the food here! First choice for an Alliance event in Artesia. The wait staff are friendly and helpful. Love the atmosphere with the open kitchen in the back corner.

A family member took us to this spot as we were visiting from Denver. Seriously some of the most delicious tacos I’ve ever had. Even the rice and beans had good flavor. Would love to come back here again!

At first I was sceptical of this place I have dubbed the "Taco Shed". But I was quickly set straight when I tasted their food. Order the queso, no matter what. Then order the shredded beef tacos. They are amazing! Your mouth and belly will thank you!

One of the better Mexican places in Artesia. A bit off the beaten trail, and locals seem to be the only ones who know about it. But If you can make it during their odd hours, it’s worth it.
