Stopped by on the way from out of town because of reviews (5 star). Definitely worth the stop! Great selection of Mexican food (beef and green enchiladas, chile rejano, tacos, fajita, etc.). The buffet had home style food too like pork chops, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, chicken strips, soups, etc.-big variety but we didn’t try any of those items but they looked tasty. Also has a desert bar (cherry and apple cobbler, chocolate chip cookies-my favorite, banana and Oreo chocolate pudding, and some kind of chocolate cake with cherry icing). Super good crunchy chips and salsa for about $15 per person. Great lemonade too! Good service and nice staff. Will definitely stop by again on the way out of town. Keep up the good work!

Very awesome! Best Mexican food I have had in years, I ate it all which I never do. Excellent watermelon margarita too!

Really delicious food we ate. I got combination burrito, if you like beans beef and cheese its totally for you. Great flavor. My hubby got chile rellenos empanizados and he said they were delicious and spicy. I got a baby bowl for my son which was great size for him it had rice beef and beans he liked it. I also got mac and cheese with fries plate for my daughter. They were perfect. Service and atmosphere was great too!!!

We loved it! Stopped on our way from Carlsbad caverns and had a nice dinner.

Practically a home town tradition and nothing has changed in 50 years. Still the best Tex-Mex Mexican food in the Southwest. Bar-none!

I got the combo with the enchiladas, taco and a chili raleno with a huge scoop of guac! This meal hit the spot! Certainly checks ALL the boxes!

Really good Chile relleno stuffed with spinach! Excellent green sauce! The waitress was extremely helpful with our questions!

Our family really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The Service was very good, as well. We had a slight wait, as it was very busy, but worth it. There was seven of us in our party, and everyone enjoyed the food and experience, with no complaints. My family definitely recommends LaFonda restaurant.

Excellent chili rellenos, great service. We alWays stop at La Fonda when we are in Artesia.

La Fonda has the most friendly staff. We stopped for the lunch buffet with family while we visited them in New Mexico. The have the absolute best Chile Rellanos... hands down. The place is always clean, there is someone to clear your plate from the table as soon as you finish so they don't stack up.
Stop in. You won't be disappointed.

The service is always fantastic here. I got the beef fajitas, and there was a lot of meat, which I appreciate. Nice and tender, too. Others in my party got the stuffed sopapillas and the taco salad. All the food was good.

The staff was amazing!! The food was amazing!! Very nice evening dinner with my sister!!
